- Whew! Its good to be back uploading videos!! This time we are knocking out a sub box build!!

Beautiful build!!! Is there any way you might still have this boxes deminsions? I have a 21 silverado I want to do this to. What did you chose to tune it to in the end (no pun intended)?
Always a fan of skar audio. I run 2 evl 12s on 3500 in my civic custom 4th order box 154.5 DB
2 elv 8s on a 1500.1d skar amp wired at 1 ohm banging around 120dbs 🥰 thinking about going back to my 1 12 vxf skar
you're not doing a 154.5db on 2 12's on a 3500w. LOL

Would you share the measurements for the 4 8" box. I'm doing the exact same build as you and definitely don't want to wait 5 weeks for that subthump box.

@@jushas1988 I guess he's not into helping people out. I ordered a quad 8" box from soundoffaudio on there website. Had to wait 4 weeks but this thing slams.

Im running four 8s sdr 2 ohm on rp1500 skar amp in my 13 silverado. Hit real hard but now im upgrading to four 10s

I know I'm late but that truck is beautiful all blacked out. Neochrome is just...loud. Too flashy for me but to each their own.
So you can just tap the speaker wires in the door sill if you have the 6 speaker non amped? What colors were the wires? I'm doing a 19 lt soon.
Do u plan on putting grills over them speakers? Looks like if the kids be in the back seat they would kick them.
How did the subs do in that box ? Is the box big enough for 4 8’s ?
Woah, woah, woah... what type of exhaust do you have? Did you just delete the muffler? I have the same truck and I have been looking for something that sounds good, but honestly all of the mufflers I have heard that do not involve paying 2 grand for the whole system, sound trashhhh. Yours sounds good, so please LMK what you have going with your exhaust??!!
I have the ix 10's under my back seat in my 02 ext cab on a Rockford Prime 500. They beat pretty good 👍.

I have 3 p2 8's behind my crewcab seat (05 Silverado) with a zx1500.1. Sounds great, might try 2 Qclass 8's under my seat next go round.
I’ve had the p2 and yeah they sounds good. Give massive audio hippo xl a try.
@@jorgejaimes5281 I am just thinking the Qclass because it has more surface area. With the surface area of the square 2 8's give you the surface area of 1.5 10's. Also to do the hippos I need to rebuild the box, and change the mounting depth. Either way I have to build a box.
@@markbarilleauii6337that’s right. Cone area is king. You get more with a Square. I have one Q Class 8” and it’s amazing. Two subs with the proper amount of air and tuning will sound incredible. Two subs wired to one ohm with the airspace of the whole seat will be better than 4 subs squeezed

I have a 19 trail boss and was looking into putting my subs from my old ram into the new truck. How did you wire the amp into the stock head unit? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find a way to do this.

Look up the dm -810 or similar devices!!! You will a digital processor such as the 810. There are cheaper versions with less features as always! Your welcome!
have to add a line drop and i suggest a eq if using stock radio

Idk how these IX8s but i have two evl 8s in my trunk and theyre not in a huge box what so ever just the skar dual 8 box and they bang hard but ima do 4 skar zvx when i get my chevy or ram 1500 havnt decided which one i wanna look for yet
@@uhpixr I run 2 12s now on the 1500 Amp. And they slamm hard! They are in small boxes sealed, as i don't have enough space for porting. But I'm thinking 4 8s I can port!

He said they were 4ohm subs wired up & brought back down to make the load 1ohm final impedance 4 all 4 subs im sure u understand what im saying hope this helps u Good luck on your build bro..✌🏼

@@08soloblade the 2019 and up have more room under the seat 2014-2018 crew cab Silverado you need to buy a kit to lift the rear seats that will give you like 3 more inches and also let you fold the back seats down so you can install amplifiers in the back wall of the truck, by the way i currently have a 2016 Silverado space is limited without the seat lift
Ahh i gotcha. I already cut my hook on the. Ack of seat to where it will fold down, and i got my amp mounted there already. But them damn seat spacers are expensive 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hey man I’m thinking to do the same thing in my 13 lml and i was just wondering on the air flow they are getting, do they sound muffled or distorted and higher volume?
A have a Fox Acoustic box in my 13 LML and it's pretty damn good. Ported 2 Skar 10s Skar 2k amp.
I plan on doing the seat lift and building the the box as big as possible under the seat and putting 3 Skar 10s forward facing ported and tuned to about 32hz. None divided should be good for about 1.25 per sub aaaannnnd THUMP

Upgrade your alternator. What vehicle do you have and how many rms are you running

what is with people building boxes with plywood? what happened to mdf
Mdf is to heavy, 3/4" birch wood is light and works flawless for sub enclosures.

@@raulfoxman1925 birch is normally 50+ a sheet mdf is like 30 give or take on both

Try to buy a subwoofer box for my Ford F150 2018 I checked an eBay some jackass trying to sell me for $1,300. I don't care how good-looking it is I don't think a subwoofer box should be selling for $1,000 that's just a rip-off
