Man this game is shaping up pretty nicely, i hope they get the russian and german voicelines too because hearing the crew panic really gets you into the game.
This is great, brings back Steel Beasts. I hope they will be able to add infantry soon, without that battlefield is a bit empty. I like how they've chosen Cold War timeframe - atmospheric, declassified and balanced.
I don't know if there some sort of background "loader tiredness" thing or if it's just random, but I really enjoyed hearing the loader at 3:30 just absolutely YELL "HEAT UUUUUP". very good voice acting.
There are different voicelines based on the crew's panic level. If you're being stared at by a handful of tanks the crew will start yelling like that. I don't think each individual crew member has a panic meter tho
This is a great looking game. Thanks for continuing to show it off. In a vehicle with a fully stabilized gun, you should not stop to fire. Stopping just makes you an easier target. One of the biggest advantages of the M1, especially in the period you are playing in, was its ability to fire with great accuracy on the move. That's not to say plow straight ahead at all times--you should definitely stop behind hull-down positions to observe the area in front of you, especially before crossing an open area or cresting an IV (inter-visibility) line--but once you are on the move, don't stop if you come under fire or identify a target.
Whats cool about the game is it shows how well the M1 can really do that and still hit, a lot of the other vehicles you take a gamble shooting on the move
Love this game. The Abrams is just a beast with the current opposition. My favourite is to do M60A1 vs the opposition. It gives a great late 70s early 80s feel. Especially now that the MARPAT camo has been added. This artillery barrage though. It was a great equalizer.
I really hope they add WW2 vehicles to this game. I used to play a tank simulator called Panzer Elite. It was awesome but very dated with old graphics. I'd love fire up a Tiger and go hunting in this game.
Ok, this may be kind of messed up but the 2nd thing I thought when Wolfpack said "Objective yellow" was along the lines of how messed up that designation would be for someone who's colorblind IK it's just a name, not making comments against Wolfpack, that's just where my train of thought went
I wonder why you are not using the termal view constantly. I was a tank gunner in the mid-90ies, and we always used thermals, nearly to 95% I'd say, because it gave a clearer view of anything "hot" on the range.
I've heard that with the earlier generation TI found in the older M1A1, the resolution of the thermal image wasn't good enough for reliable target PID so the gunners would only use the TI sight for scanning but once a potential target had been found (hot spot) then they would switch to the regular day sight to confirm if the hot spot was actually an enemy vehicle before engaging. I'm assuming that the more advanced TI system for the later M1A2 provided good enough image resolution that you could reliably PID targets in TI sight so no need to switch to day sight.
@@sillyslapper92 I was an M1A1 platoon leader in 2001 and 2002. I agree with Hajo Lippke. We always used thermals. Identifying targets at very long range (maybe 3000 meters and beyond) can get difficult, especially in the heat of a hectic moment, but by '01 we had CIPs (Combat Identification Panels) that showed up as alternating dark and light horizontal stripes in thermals, so it was easier to ID targets in thermals than through the daylight sight. I was never on an A2, but the thermals on the A1 were very good. Would have liked to have had the 50x optics of the A2, though.
@@vicomteturenne I served on the M1A2 SepV2 and V3 The newer V3 has an Auxiliary motor that can power the optics and sights without having the tank actually on giving away a thermal signature. Its pretty nice. Best job i ever had.
That was pretty cool! I realize this game is probably unfinished yet, but do tanks clip through scenery? It seems you drove that Abrams through fences and narrow roads without bumping or crushing anything. I assume the scenery is still "transparent"?
They've been really careful to only add stuff to the plan that they're certain they can actually do. People keep having other random cool ideas that get shot down for being too difficult to implement to be worth the dev time with the small team.
Just downloaded the full version. It’s a steep learning curve to be sure, and I’m really having trouble with slewing the turret from the gunners sight. I either under or over slew and it takes a long time to correct. Any tips?
Amazing video, thank you. I see that an M1 is taken out by (I presume) a direct artillery hit. Is that historically accurate? From what I can research from cursory googling, an M1's top armor should be good against "up to 152mm." And (I presume) it should be proofed against nearby detonations. I don't know what the caliber of those artillery rounds was supposed to be, but it seemed like those M1's were a little too vulnerable to shelling.
Are they ever going to include tank interiors? The game has great potential but just too arcadey without being able to button up during battles and artillery barrages. It would be great if they could only have a simplified version of the commander's station. That would greatly increase the immersion level.
You seem to only do missions where you have the hardware advantage. Taking this battle from the opposite perspective, or at least the opposite equipment, would've been more interesting IMO.
Man this game is shaping up pretty nicely, i hope they get the russian and german voicelines too because hearing the crew panic really gets you into the game.
I hope they will add all NATO and Warsaw Pact nations and maps at some point
Holy, the adrenaline rush even just watching is crazy...
It was nuts haha. I loved this mission

Infantry are coming soon
@@yungcaco1443 Sounds great, thx
According to their roadmap, they gonna add Tank Crews, soviet forces, Bundeswehr and even Infantry soon 🤩👍
OMG this mission, It was the first one I played with my new mouse and headset, it was terrifying. So much going on.

I can't wait for this game to get multi-player, its going to be so much fun, and I'm also hoping modding comes to the game
I believe the tank spawn that popped up can also spawn on your left flank. They wiped out our entire squadron before I realised what was happening.
you always show our game in a really good light. Thank you!
This is a great looking game. Thanks for continuing to show it off.

Nice. Love seeing you in the good ol' Abrams.
I really like how they added the hydraulic brake sound when the turret stops traversing.
Got to say, this game brings back memories of the simulator we use in the swiss army. We did an entire batallion exercise in that
GHPC should also add destructible environment (knocking down trees, breaking through fences and buildings)
This feels like first person Regiments… which is great !!
the detail really makes me appreciate Battlefield 3 and its attention to detail back then

The sound effects in this game are amazing. It almost sounds like they recorded the real deal and did some processing to clean it up.
A terrific attack under fire. Thumbs up on the graphics.
The game looks fantastic
My favorite content you have as well as the surface side of dot mod on CW
Cooking this game nicely, the devs are.
This game is awesome!
Love this series!
your intros remind me of the old conflict games mission intros
Great action. Was just thinking I'd love to see this game have destructible buildings.
That would be very nice to have. Especially with the artillery that has been added
DCS should really implement this level of vehicle combat
Massive artillery barrage, and then snipey-snipe from the far side of the valley. Have to respect the OPFOR for that.
That intro scene almost looked like an old strategy game
Would love to see a IJN pacific mod or IJN Tokyo Express Mod in war on the sea.
Nice one, thank you!
Thanks!
Congratulations on 120k subs🎉🎉😎
Thanks!
Wolfpack, are you interested in starting another epic mod campaign? Soviets 64 would be cool.
I really hope they add WW2 vehicles to this game. I used to play a tank simulator called Panzer Elite. It was awesome but very dated with old graphics. I'd love fire up a Tiger and go hunting in this game.
I want them to add a WWII tank just to show off how much tank technology improved in the cold war
That artillery actually felt dangerous
This is our tool this is our power this is our righteous fury 🇺🇸
Never been interested in watching people play video games till is saw this
Another great one. I wish you would do another WW 1 flying vids again.
I have been itching to do another WW1 series
Thst was intense. Love it!
I can see myself playing this game for years
yay new video love your channel
Thanks!
wolfpack do you know how to get rid of external torps in SH3? I caant find it on subsim!
Ok, this may be kind of messed up but the 2nd thing I thought when Wolfpack said "Objective yellow" was along the lines of how messed up that designation would be for someone who's colorblind
IK it's just a name, not making comments against Wolfpack, that's just where my train of thought went
Can you operate an M60? My personal favorite and IMO best looking tank.

@@sillyslapper92 On the real M1, very likely! But here in the sim, it looks so much clearer in the TI-view...
Mainly just flipping back and forth so I can show off the pretty graphics haha

Personnel carrier
This looks fun. Another game to my wishlist.
Can't wait for MP to arrive soon. Then i will get this game.

They are working on it! I believe everything on that roadmap is achievable and will happen.
They've been really careful to only add stuff to the plan that they're certain they can actually do. People keep having other random cool ideas that get shot down for being too difficult to implement to be worth the dev time with the small team.

I thought the Abrams Add stabilization so you could fire on the move? Or maybe it wasn't at this point in time.
I was using it at the end more!
okay do you have multiplayer in this?
I hope they make this compatible with mac or macOS, my potato windows laptop can't run the game :(
What is that 155mm artillery.?
Wolfpack was fighting against Pact forces in this scenario, so it would be either 122mm or 152mm; 155mm is a NATO caliber.
to those of you who are thinking he is playing a coop game.. he is not.
he just talking to his a.i. crew for no reason
Why is there music in the background?
Because I added it
Which Mission is this ?
It is called Native Narative
game is looking sick but for added realism make sure the Russian AI is very drunk all the time.
What is this "restock" thing?
Is his new video private?
Why are you always stopping to shoot does this M1 not have any stabilization
I read furry instead of fury.

SPW 60 ? Erm..... BTR-60P no ?
SPW 60 is the East German designation
I miss Yuri
You don't have to keep saying APFSDS, just say sabot. 🤦♂️
What's this restocking nonsense?
this is not realistic.... i mean ffs man, the russians don't have that many armored vehicules left anymore. there all scap in Ukraine. LMAO
What? This is set during the Cold War.
