Corrections: - In the final section where I talk about the tree of life, I sometimes use the terms "sephirot" as singular and "sephira" as plural, when it is in fact the other way around (credit: @navetal)
I wonder if the entirety of Teyvat might be a "dream" or manifestation of someone with a strong will (Primordial one or another descender), and the endgame may be that the traveler makes this world "real" the same way Neuvillette makes the Fontainians true humans. The traveler being a witness is necessary because the "old world" will need to cease (burn away Irminsul) and someone must hold the truth to create the real version of it.
@Sesquipedalian044 I love that! When this manifestation under the rule of the heavenly principles is destroyed, the traveler as a "witness" could use his will to manifest a new world for the souls of the old realm. Would fit with how Zhongli stressed how important it is that we witness this world. Thx for the comment!
I wouldn't say "the entirety of Teyvat", but at least the realm that the primordial one created on Teyvat, which appears like a not-quite-that-stable dream bubble with how much domains can manifest and how the chasm quest went, and the traveler has the power to manifest the human realm in the light realm (assuming that the "light realm" refers to teyvat without the p.o.'s creation
Taking a Lovecraftian approach, there's an "Azathoth", a "Nilou" imagining the whole world as the host of a collective Dream, and yet they ought to awake, and someone has to make the world real.
Firstly, its really cool that you gove priority to human voiceover, instead AI. My respect. Secondly, i love video, all details on screen is really helps!
aaaaaah finally someone does more than just scratching the surface and jumping to the next half-baked topic! I really appreciate this kind of video, it's like watching a documentary, and I find your voice really relaxing :D. Also all that symbolic analysis was *chef kiss* I hope the algorithm favours you more, this is seriously great work. Keep it up!
My eyes widened when you mentioned "Will" and linked with the power of a Descender. I kinda assumed that Egeria was punished because she created life, kinda similar how Khemia worked and Celestia ahborred such notion that one of their pawn was getting too powerful to control, but man, your explanation make way more sense. I really hope your channels grows, man. Loved this analysis!
Man, you really cooked up something amazing here. I was already following another channel with great theories based on all the text available in the game (Wei), now I'm going to follow yours too.
I really love how genshin manages to combine so many esoteric concepts, and yet, they do it in a way that allows for many interpretations. The single most reason I still play Genshin to this day is because of this worldbuilding, not seen in most animes and games these days. However, I have one thing to add specifically about persona. The origin of the word is more related to a "face" you use. Personality gives the idea of an inherent mental quality of the person, that differs their mode of thinking from other people, while Persona is more of the "face" you present to the world, kinda like for example how Furina's persona was that of the hysterical, celebrity archon when in truth she was this extremely lonely girl. Considering the Jungian aspects of the lore, I think Persona here is related to the idea of the Jungian Persona. So maybe, the surprising thing about Phobos having a persona isn't that it has a personality, but that it has a "face" of some sort to present to the world. Stretching the concept beyond it's Jungian and Genshin boundaries, wouldn't the "face" of something be the exterior, phenomenic form of it? I mean, you can be made of prima materia, have essential qualities, accidental qualities(Properties) and a Relation to other beings, but you still need a "husk", a "shell", a "form" of some sort to present externally to the world, so other people can identify you as you and not someone else. It's like the shadows from Plato's cave or Idiya's projector thing. I think for example, the first thing the many collective consciousness attempts in Teyvat did to people were to remove their "faces" in a way. For example, even if Jeht's father's will, memories and soul were not removed by the golden slumber, but added to it(which the quest implied), he still lacked the "face" of which to present himself to the world, one where Jeht, a being external to him, could interact with before, and probably won't reincarnate through the Leylines since his soul wasn't really gone (So for example, Hu Tao wouldn't be able to meet him). Another example are Melus and Silver, they didn't really die, they integrated into the collective consciousness of the Oceanids, and yet they don't have the external "face" to present to Navia anymore. Also, when you "disfigure" a being, you are removing their "face" and making the person unrecognizable to other people, despite the fact to the person disfigured, their experiences, their qualia, is still the same, and only other people are being immediately affected. Maybe Hilichurls cannot remove their masks and look beyond it at themselves or they "Caribert" themselves out of existence because something happened to their Persona.
I'm impressed! How you do make sense through that insane amount of storyes, making me believe there will really be an explanation that makes everything come together. Thanks for sharing!
I believe I have come upon a hidden gem here. You've just earned a new subscriber, in fact you've probably just earned many! Great video! A small note: "Sephirot" is the plural of "Sephira", not the other way around, so phrases such as "The Ten Sephira" (25:29) should be "The Ten Sephirot" and "Each Sephirot until...Sephirot num.9" (21:21) should've used Sephira both times.
@navetal thank you, both for the kind comment and the correction! Truth is I knew nothing at all about the topic before researching this video, newbie mistake one could say :)
This content makes you a philosopher. You are what the ancient Greeks sought to become. On note of the video, this is fascinating. I don't truly understand most of it, but your diagrams and pointing things out helps with keeping track. Glad you've decided to use your voice and not just diagrams or AI. I don't hate those who use AI, I understand the desire to not use your own voice, but hearing a human voice is nice; makes it easier to form a connection with what's being said.
that's really interesting! Because you refered to the connections as 'paths' I wonder if they could also refer to the paths of the Eons in honkai star rail 🤔
This was a great video! The lore of Genshin can be complicated at times but you explained it all so well. What I always think about and find absolutely stunning is that it's all connected. It feels like listening to a docu of a long forgotten civilization instead of a Gacha game, haha. We got notes of Rene's expeditions to the Sumeru desert all the way in 3.6 Also I much prefer listening to real voices, sometimes I have trouble understanding the AI words, because english isn't my native language and they kinda fail at pronouncing certain words. You pronounce Narzissenkreuz so well, the AI would have failed with that.
Thats what i like about Genshin, you TRUELY TRUELY feel like are experiencing another world because all the laws and physics stays consistent to a T. And also it can be some little info you read in a side quest or a book and then you end up seeing or experiencing things they talked about later on through things like characters, story, locations, or events
@shan_2933 I suppose you mean the deeper voice I use to read out some in-game quotes? It's a generated voice from a service called elevenlabs, so I suppose any similarity is just coincidence :3

Props for taking the language seriously ^_^ (and for using your own voice, it sounds much better imo)
genshin reveals more about the real world than any other game ever
& speaking on kabbalah is insanely tuff. respect, great work and nice voice

“the sky is fake”
1.0(1.1?)
That reminds me of eis voiceline when she says "if you remember me, ill live forever" and with your theory it makes alot more sense

@@veverse8891 thank you, that means a lot! ^.^
I spend SO much time in game reading notes more than books, i feel they get skipped so much in lore videos ❤

My favorite has returned and has COOKED
Thanks for such an in-depth yet entertaining explanation for the lore
@goldenwolflord2734 thank you!! 😊
it's so nice to hear your voice☺️

I really appreciate this video and the time you took to explain your points. I'm new to this channel, and hope to see much more going forward!

Certainly underrated. More genshin players need to hear this theory/analysis because it's cool af
that's really interesting! Because you refered to the connections as 'paths' I wonder if they could also refer to the paths of the Eons in honkai star rail 🤔
Wow, there's really been a lot of work done here

I'd like to point out that the native human population of fontaine is now extinct, technically egerias oceanid people have replaced them
you need to cook more often, love your videos!

Is the narrator voice used an ai version of disco Elysium narrator? It sounds similar
@shan_2933 I suppose you mean the deeper voice I use to read out some in-game quotes?
It's a generated voice from a service called elevenlabs, so I suppose any similarity is just coincidence :3
@@genshinlorebytes ahh i see, it indeed sounds very similar also really good video i wished u posted more, i binged all of them today lol
@shan_2933 aww thank you, and welcome! I will certainly try :)
