    LA ports driver!!! Another great video, thanks. I try to tell the office this is the type professional NEEDED to recover containers on a daily. You can only lead the horse.😂

    Same chaos situation is also happening in Europe at the Belgium and Netherlands ports... It's crazy busy

      The lines suck, but crazy busy is a good thing. 😁

    This is not a daily thing, but it's happening often, and every port takes their turn!

      😅 I am not sure which part you are referring to, however, Professional drivers prioritize defensive driving to prevent accidents, while others recklessly endanger themselves and others with their aggressive driving. These inconsiderate drivers are just bullies of the road.😊

    Dam that’s busy as hell and people are saying trucking is slow. I wonder if the railyards here in Chicago are this bad.

    Are the container cranes robotic or is there a person in each one?

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад

      Actually these smaller, single container, cranes are self-driving. 🙂

      Ports, LBCT and TraPac have automated cranes, and I understand that an operator is needed for the final mounting moment.

    If you dont mind me asking whats the hourly for a twic card holder ?

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад

      It's an average of $30 with no overtimepay. Different companies will have overtime or pay extra, per container moved. Night shift went to $35 once, but not anymore. Sometimes a company offers [about] $26 per hour plus over time. I am used to working 10 to 12 hours per day, and the paychecks work pretty well.😁

      @@PortsOfLosAngeles how many runs do you make per day? I heard wait times can be up to 6 hours? Is that true

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад

      I do not have a dedicated route. Every day is different.
      When I was working at night, we would average 2 round trips per day, and yes, I have done 6, or 7 hours with one container move. However, at this moment, ports are slow, and those delays are not very common.
      Right now, it is possible to make 3 or 4 round trips to the ports and have a container each way.

    Being a container hauler seems absolutely infuriating.

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, it can be. However, as an employee driver, I believe this is a lot easier than driving O.T.R. and I did my share of O.T.R.

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад +1

      I guess it's your personal perspective. I also had my infuriating days O.T.R.

  • @DarrkMane
    @DarrkMane Месяц назад +1

    Why do you container haulers literally camp on the left lane of the 2 right lanes going 53 MPH? Move over to the very right lane. Always causing traffic congenstions, inpeding traffic.

    • @Angry_70

      CMVs are governed at certain speeds.

    • @PortsOfLosAngeles
      @PortsOfLosAngeles  Месяц назад +1

      I agree with you!
      Sometimes, you just can't see past that truck, and there could be another slower vehicle. Sometimes, drivers are just an asshole person.

    • @macdude1996
      @macdude1996 Месяц назад +1

      I’m the container flying by you on the 3rd lane lol. Fuck a govern.

      I've seen you! 🤣🤣🤣

    • @DarrkMane
      @DarrkMane Месяц назад +1

      @Angry_70 I know, my truck is governed at 65MPH. If you're going to drive below the speed limit, drive on the exit lane. There are plenty of other rigs driving 60 plus mph in CA wanting to use the lane you're camping in.
