I want to do that almost a decade ago with multiple controllers for either systems. But in my area finding someone locally so you can afford to have the board's cut and programmed damn near impossible so became a fading memory I'm glad it's finally done that's awesome it's really is cool love the videos keep them up man
This is not working for my xbox one controller. Updated firmware to v1.16, updated firmware on xbox controller, turned on Pro controller settings on switch, but this damn thing keeps flashing in attempts to sync. Anyone???
Good to see you making videos again. Quick question, can the adapter accept multiple controllers per adapter or is it one controller per adapter limitation?
Thanks for this review! Was thinking of buying another Pro controller cause my my hogs the one we already have. Haha. Now I can just buy one if these and use my PS4 and Xbox One controllers. Nice!
2:32 my Switch does not recognize the USB at all. My controller syncs, and even vibrates, but my switch shows nothing...? EDIT: restarting my Switch solved everything -_- lol
The Xbox pad and 8BitDo pair but won't appear on the Switch change controller screen. It's an Xbox1 1708 model, it can connect to the laptop over Bluetooth and I've updated to the latest firmware. The 8BitDo has been updated to the latest firmware. Pro Controller Wired Communication is on. They pair, lights turn solid, pad vibrates. The pad also vibrates when the power on the switch comes on. But the Switch will not register it. I've gone through the setup multiple times and restarted the Switch. It will not appear as another controller. I feel like the 8BitDo is paired and taking power but the Switch is not registering it. Any ideas?
Quick question for you. If you remap the Xbox buttons on the Xbox controller using the Xbox console will they stay that way when using the adapter and Xbox controller on the switch. Meaning the A button on Xbox is going to B when connected to the switch but if you remap A/B/x/y that means when you press A on Xbox it will do the A button action as if you pressed A on a joycon? Basically I’ve been playing Xbox button configs for so long that I’m always pressing B instead of A and X instead of Y when using switch joy cons or pro controller. Does that make sense?
David Cleveland search "magic NS" on Amazon. It is a device just like this made by mayflash. You can swap the buttons to fit the xb1 labeling by holding start and back on the controller...well I guess their called menu and view on xb1, I still call them start and back. You just hold them in again for like 3 seconds to switch it back if you want. The magic NS is $5 more than the 8bitdo adapter though.
If you sync Xbox controller with Switch near Xbox console, doesn't turn on Xbox console instead of syncing with Switch next time you use the controller or syncing the controller with Switch disable Xbox pairing?
Has to be with the Bluetooth versions (the Xbox box will state in order to pair with Windows 10 it needs to do it via Bluetooth; that's how you'll know you have an X1S controller). I tried it with the original X1 controller and no connection at all. I'm trying to pair mine with it and unfortunately two controllers that are both S models and brand new are not connecting. My PS4 controller connected with no problems though.
Hey there! Do you think this controller would work with the 8bitdo dongle for the Nintendo Switch? Cause the DualShock 4 apparently works fine. I don't really know if this would. Would be nice if someone could update me on that. Thanks in advance!
Pro controller costs $69. if you have an xbox one already, it's $20 for the 8bitdo. and seeing as XB1 controller is rated the best controller (feeling-wise), it's a no-brainer. great review man!
Phillip Mills Your comment implies the person HAS a second console other than Switch. What if they don’t? It would be $80-$100 for a Controller and the 8bitdo. In that case, you’re better off getting a Pro Controller. I have all three consoles. I prefer to play with the controller that the system is from. Spend the $20 if you’re a cheap-ass or don’t mind playing with controllers from other consoles, but the Pro Controller works perfectly fine.
Actually, you can find this for about $12,-. The ps4 controller even supports motion controls making it just as good as the switch pro controller. Somebody doesn't have to be a cheap ass to use this. What if you already own the pro controller but want to use the ps4 controller for 2nd player because the joycons suck ass.
It's not about being cheap at all. But if you wanna run numbers, you'd save money buying this with a PS4 controller or an Xbox One Controller. I see it as a convenience because Nintendo's overall build quality on their controllers (Joy-Cons, Pro Controller, etc) has been the worst its been in years.
My adapter won’t stop flashing & won’t pair with any of my controllers?? Yes I fixed the setting for the usb pro
@LastPlace Gamer did you update it to the latest firmware?

Great review, thanks for confirming button placement remains the same on the xbox controller, been trying to get confirmation everywhere!
You can also buy one from amazon that comes with the wire so you can play it in portable mode. It is also $20
This is not working for my xbox one controller. Updated firmware to v1.16, updated firmware on xbox controller, turned on Pro controller settings on switch, but this damn thing keeps flashing in attempts to sync. Anyone???
Only work with a controller xbox one S
You can try update xbox controller? In Windows 10 app "Xbox Accessories"
Probably doesnt have bluetooth if it isnt xbox one S/X
I have controller xbox one s firmware 4.8.1923.0 no work
Can't wait to pick up one of these for my switch! Nice review Charlie
My PS4 controller pairs and vibrates, but it doesn't show up on the switch. Not working at all for me.
mine wont connect for some reason. I've updated the firmware but when I put the stick in like you the switch doesnt 'find' it..
How many controllers can you use per 8bitdo at the same time?
Good to see you making videos again. Quick question, can the adapter accept multiple controllers per adapter or is it one controller per adapter limitation?

A Canadian saying "We are connected" makes me think of VOIVOD - We Are Connected
Restart your consoles if you’re having issues pairing.

Have you tried the headphone part on the controllers? I am just wondering since fortnite is out
Unfortunately It doesn’t work
The pro controller setting isn't even showing up for me. It's a blank space where it should be.
Seems pretty cool but did you feel any dead zone or latency using the adapter? Im thinking of buying it to play splatoon 2
Awesome shirt!

Hey seejayare how come u weren’t at sauga gaming expo were you sick that weekend?
Thanks.
I wish using the Xbox controller would use the Xbox button layout. I would totally get one if that was the case.

does the SNES30 work with this. I am having a hard time connecting
I doubt it but it doesn’t hurt to ask.. is there game audio through Xbox one controller from the switch?
is that also working wireless with xbox elite v1 controller?
Hey can I use this to play with my xbox elite controller on Ps4???
Not really, but you can buy Brook X One Adapter for the Xbox One Controller to play on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC
Thanks Charlie - absolute “must buy” for all Nintendo Switch owners.
Can i use the adapter while also using the sn30 pro? Like for example, player one uses the sn30 pro and player two uses a ps4 controller?
Is it possible to connect 2 controllers at the same time with one 8bido?
Hello friends. I can use headphone 3.5 jack from my xbox one wireless controller with this adapter?
If you sync Xbox controller with Switch near Xbox console, doesn't turn on Xbox console instead of syncing with Switch next time you use the controller or syncing the controller with Switch disable Xbox pairing?
Does the adapter work with old Xbox one/elite controller without blurtooth?

Thanks for the reply. That sucks, I have two controllers but they're the old one that came with the original phat model.

I miss mega maaaaaaaan soooooo muuuuuuch
Thx!!!
Does it work with xbox one elite controller ?
any try to pair another bluetooth compatible hid device? is capable? i supossed if supports all branch of 8ditdo can do it...
Would this work on other consoles as well? Say for using a Dualshock 4 controller on an Xbox One or vice versa?
I dont think so only pc or switch i believe.
Must be the XboneX controller only cause the S one doesn't work and I know it's Bluetooth since my other devices recognize it as such.
Medachod only xbox one s/x work not the regular controller
Xbox one s controller works with it I have done it.
can I use it on my ps4 to play with my xbox controller?
Can you connect more than one at a time
Ben I want to know the same thing

Mine will connect but it won't do anything no matter how many buttons do I press
Hey Jay how are kids
What about the motion controls on ps4?
I have v 1.30 and don't work with Xbox one controller
Can you connect multiple controllers on the 8bitdo @seejayare
No. Only one. I'm not seejay but just tryna help.
Do they work an Switch Lite
unless you get a usb c to a then no
So I will have to have a Pro Controller before I can even make this work??
Alex Townley nah you just trick the switch that you are hooking up a wired controller.
This doesn't work. I have tried a lot.
Do you have pro controllers wired communications on
Last👍😎👍
Will this damage the SWITCH
No lol
Last
....Or just buy a Pro Controller?

Miadaskate why would you even want this if you didnt have one of the other controllers? Isn't that the whole point?
That is so worth getting.
I'm going to get one when I get a chance and the money.
Can i use this and the sn30 pro at the same time? Like for example, player one uses sn30 pro, and player two uses ps4 controller?
