This is not exclusive to these adapters, you can’t use Sony PS4 controllers to play PS5 games either as I have pointed out in previous videos such as this guide below: ruclips.net/video/t_Z6FZzayTE/видео.html
@@Joshuaevm no, ps5 games can only be played with ps5 controllers, I guess sony has it baked into the ps5 to only allow dualsense controller, which I assume is because on the triggers and other features exclusive to a dualsense that other controllers lack, to make an adapter for other controllers, it needs to be able to spoof a dualsense in addition to converting inputs, as far as I know Cronus zen are the only adapters you can do this on

Great review. These adapters are awesome. I find myself using specific controllers for specific games often. I got the Xbox adapter and it works awesome. I use a Magic S adapter for Switch which seems to cover alot of controllers. That one was only half the price of the Brooke one, which may support more controllers. I mainly wanted support for my Hori Rap4 stick on the switch. I will probably pick up the PS5 adapter too.
The extra features crammed into these adapters are really something. Button remapping on these things are great. On my Sega Saturn, I was impressed by the Brook Wingman SD. I've used an 8bitDO DIY controller and Retrobit saturn wireless controller (before I got the retrobit adapter). I was able to map buttons eventually with custom mapping. The Wingman SD is also cool as it can mimic the Saturn 3D pad functionality when using a modern controller with a few button presses. Ie, you can get true analogue input by using a modern controller. You won't need to shell out for a saturn 3d pad (even though I still did for the collector value and its 1996 stick-drift-free Hall effect goodness). Another cool thing about the Brook Wingman SD is the mouse and keyboard support from the USB port. I was playing Typing of the Dead on my Dreamcast over CRT, whilst using my custom USB keyboard I'd built a few months earlier. It was great but I still suck at touch typing 😂.
I got the super converter to use modern controllers on my PS2 and oh boy it’s so much more comfortable to use a wireless PlayStation controller on the PS2. I’ve been playing the ace combat and SOCOM series using a PS5 controller. It feels really nice, the only issue you will find is the pressure sensitive buttons do not work on modern controllers. You can still use it well, just be aware if you play MGS or something that used that feature on the OG PS2 controller, you can’t use that since they got rid of that feature on the PS4 controller.
Not sure if you've already done this, but try using a PS3 controller instead. That has analogue support for all face buttons, shoulders, and triggers (just like the original Dualshock 2). Dualshock 3 also has rumble (unlike the original Sixaxis) Possibly the best wireless solution for PS2 in my opinion.
@@theamericanbadger6008 No worries! Another cool thing to look forward to: this solution might breathe new life into your racing games due to the additional travel on the PS3's analogue triggers (ie more range/precision for brake and throttle inputs). But I'd forgot that you are using a DS4 already, so you might have already reaped these benefits on the triggers. If the game doesn't natively support accelerate/brake on the triggers via controller options, you could probably do a remap on the Wingman adapter instead.
