This adapter has actually become a part of my daily setup and use. I have an Xbox Series S (opposed to a PS5) for a handful of reasons: size/portability, gamepass, ABXY inputs, and the Xbox interface. However, being a girl with small-ish girl hands, the PS4 controller is my favorite controller of all time, and I’ve built myself a handful of custom PS4 controllers with back buttons and mouse click triggers over the years. With this adapter, I’m able to use my custom PS4 controllers as my proprietary controllers on my Xbox Series S and it doesn’t feel out of place at all. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I touched an Xbox controller lol.
do u notice any input latency? i plan to run wired connection with ps4 controller to my xbox as well when i play my fps games, but im curious if i can get the benefits of the default lower input response times that the DS4 n DS5 pads typically have yanno? i got small man hands too so i wanna go back to my DS4 pad for some Halo
@@mrhamburgler480 I don't notice any input latency or delays at all!! I play a lot of Fortnite (don't bully me lol) and there appears to be no delay whatsoever. Just make sure that if you do buy the adapter, update it right away because or else there will be input lag

@@pinzeey3900 hmm thats actually a good question. i dont see why ya wouldnt. is it wired or wireless? i feel like wired would be less of an issue than a wireless headset thats branded for ps4/ps5. have ya tried both wired/wireless routes?
Hey Gamer Heaven, never asked for a comment to be pinned anywhere but I found some helpful info for everyone if you want more to see this. Been using it over a week now and I noticed there's a large inner deadzone by default on every single wireless controller I tested. You need to push the stick 30-40% of the way to get any input. Even after updating firmware, my 8bitdo SNES Pro, 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth, PS4, Gamecube Powera, PS5, and Gulikit King Kong Pro 2 controllers I tested all still had this exact same huge inner deadzone. This issue is wireless only which is strange, my 360 wired controller actually had no deadzone at all when plugged in. Good news though I have been emailing someone from Brook for multiple days now, and as of last night they uploaded a fix. Not only does it remove this huge inner deadzone, it also adds two new binds you can change on the fly to activate either a no deadzone mode, or a mode with slight deadzone to mitigate drift issues! I responded earlier to someone on how to fix this, so I'll just copy and paste some of that again below: To fix this just go to Brooks website, find the Xbox One products page and select the Wingman XB2. Find the page that brings you to the firmware and download the current PC version, which at this time it is "V1.097". This part is important, you don't just click the .exe right away to start the update. Instead you need to rename the exe file to activate the beta mode. The file will be called "BROOK WingMan XB 2.0.exe", but you're going to want to rename it to "BROOK WingMan XB 2.0_BETA.exe". After that you just click the exe and go through the update process, and simply unplug the adapter and it's ready to plug into the Xbox. Also check the version when updating, the current update version which has this deadzone fix for wireless controllers is version V1.11. It's possible at the time of reading this though they could have already updated a new version that doesn't require enabling the beta mode. Now to get no deadzone, there are actually two new built in binds on this beta firmware update, the person at Brook I spoke to calls this 3DVR magnification. You can enable/disable these binds on the fly at any time while using the Xbox. Btw that large inner deadzone that was an issue is completely gone regardless with the beta update, this just allows you to change between two new deadzone configs. To enable 3DVR magnification: Press "Select+Square" to turn 3DVR magnification on. Light should blink blue when it's on. To disable 3DVR magnification: Press "Select+Circle" to turn 3DVR magnification off. Light should blink red when it's off. You want to disable 3DVR Magnification to activate no deadzone mode. Having 3DVR magnification on just adds a slight deadzone but it is nowhere close to as huge as the old one was, and this is nice if you have a controller with drift or just prefer to play with a small amount of deadzone. Anyways, I would definitely recommended this now after the fix. Hope this helps someone
Ok, can one question get answered. Does the analog stick actually function as the analog stick of the3d pad? OR does the analog stick function as the saturn dpad? Not one channel has answered this question, and I have not seen a video with incremental movements.
@@alfredsartwell5659 What do you mean by Saturn dpad? Like does it function in a way where it's 8 way direction movement like a dpad or how WASD movement works rather than typical analog stick movement? If that's what you mean then no, it functions exactly as the normal analog stick should, there's no weird 8 way movement/angles you are locked at. The analog stick movement is read the same way, can hold any exact pressure amounts or angle you put it at. If you get it you can also check for yourself and use a site called gamepad tester to read the inputs
@@alfredsartwell5659 If you get it though, try that beta firmware update I mentioned in the comment above. By default the deadzone for my Wingman XB2 was huge on whatever patch it was, so making small incremental movements felt horrible. Also it wasn't even just huge, it felt like part of the zone was cut off which would make sense why you said you barely saw anyone making small movements. It almost did feel like a dpad before lol. Right at the edge of where the input was detected, you only had a very small amount of room for the low sensitivity to work then it jumped up quick. So if you use the beta update I mentioned, this is fixed and the controller deadzone can got from being 10x bigger than it should have been to basically 0 deadzone. The smallest amount of pressure I can put on the stick is read in game on this version
Do you know if this works like the anti-deadzone in steam configs where it removes a built in deadzone that the game has? I’m assuming not but I’m really trying to find a way to remove the 26% deadzone in overwatch on the ps5.

Or you could just have an Xbox controller plugged in , in the background and then just plug your mic into it. Just need to make sure when you get on certain games that you start with your adapted controller and then once your in and it thinks that it’s P1, then you can plug in the Xbox one in the background

Are you able to use Astro A40’s or headphones in general on the ps5 scuf reflex while it is being used on the Xbox? For example, the headphone jack that is on the Xbox controllers does the ps5 or scuf reflex controllers have that headphone jack?
I mean, latency wouldn’t be an issue. To put it on perspective, I’m doing remoteplay with my vita streaming the PS4 on it. I can play all call of duty games and there’s absolutely no lag unlike when you use cloud services. So I guess this adapter would offer even less latency locally that remoteplay and you would not even feel it and still be able to be competitive on multiplayer. Actually, you are still supposed to have more latency using wireless over direct connection with your controller, but this latency difference is not noticeable and has no impact in your actual skill. It’s not like you’re sending a signal over a router that need to commute back to you over wifi while you are far away, or using cloud services as I said, you’re not in these cases. You wouldn’t notice any lag when it’s still much more responsive than human reaction times. Just my opinion to not stress about it.
I asked them if the Gulikit King Kong 2 pro or the 8bitdo ultimate (the ones with Hall effect sensors) work with this controller and they said it did wirelessly. Could you confirm if this is the case and also possibly check if either work when wired? Xinput mode would probably be best.
I actually got the Wingman XB2 two days ago, tested my 8bitdo Bluetooth Ultimate with it and it worked perfect wirelessly. I also have the Gulikit King Kong Pro 2 but it wasn't syncing for some reason the other day. That could have been before I updated the firmware though, I could check it again for you if you want. Btw the input lag is extremely low on this, tested my 8bitdo Ultimate, 8bitdo SNES wireless, PS5, PS4, and GameCube PowerA wireless and they all worked great. I haven't finished this video just yet, so I'm not sure if he mentioned it but the only big issue I've noticed is the inner deadzone area is pretty large for every controller. Feels like you need to move the stick about 30% of the range to get any input, I've been speaking to someone in an email from Brook though so hopefully they could fix this in a future firmware update. I even enabled no deadzone mode on my 8bitdo Ultimate thinking it could make it slightly better but the range was the same. If you need anymore info or I hear back from their support team again I'll try to give an update here lol
Just checked it for you! King Kong Pro 2 also works in Switch mode after the latest firmware update. I tested it the other day before I updated and it didn't work, so make sure you update the firmware once you get this and it should all be good. Also using it wired can be a way to connect it right away, it was letting me play with the cable in on both Bluetooth Ultimate and King Kong Pro 2. This could have just automatically synced to wireless mode and just let's you charge it while playing wirelessly, but it does work for sure keeping the cable plugged in. Btw the lights on each side of the Brook adapter are actually buttons, so if you have a controller with no cable like my wireless PowerA GameCube controller, just hold both button in for a few seconds to start sync mode and then hold the sync button on the wireless controller and it will pair right away. You can sync any of the wireless controllers this way too if you don't want to use a cable to connect
@@EVCartman good info thanks for the reply. The large deadzone is a deal breaker though, can’t imagine that’s something brook would deliberately add… When you had it wired you are saying it just started working before syncing? If that’s the case then it sounds like they do work wired as I’m sure you would need to sync them. Did you only try these in switch mode? I’m wondering if that might be related to your deadzone issue, I think Xinput would be the best bet could you try that? Xinput more closely matches what the Xbox uses natively. Thanks!
How do i fix the deadzones being crazy inaccurate? i use my ps5 controller on my XSX but the sticks feel so inaccurate. I heard some other people having the same issues wherin the sticks are automatically being configured to have square deadzones. the correct way it should be setup is circular deadzones but i have no luck in succeeding in this regard.
I know this is an old comment but, it does work though? I wanna use my ps5 controller on my xbox one x but i’ve seen some people talking about a xbox ban on third party controllers and i’m not sure now.
It looks awesome but if i would use a PS4 controller with the wingman can i then still use the headphones jack for chatting on the controller? and can i pair multiple controllers with one wingman xb2?
Would the XB2 work with the GuliKit KingKong Pro 2? It seems like that is possibly the best controller you have reviewed quality wise, if only it could be used on consoles.
I asked them about the kk2pro and the 8bitdo controller with Hall effect sensors and they said they would work wirelessly… but I can’t confirm it this is true.
I have like three fight sticks for playstation and would like to avoid buying another one for XBOX. I'm assuming, based on what I've read, that this adapter will allow me to hardwire them directly to my series X?
Strangely, I just has my PS5 Scuff Reflex controller working wirelessly on Series X yesterday, on the original Brook XB adapter. Today I can only get it to work wired. Not sure if Im doing something wrong this time. Tried for a while. That leads me to believe that the original XB adapter I have still supports wireless PS5 controller use. So Im on the fence with picking this upgrade up.

Does anyone know the answer to this question- If I were to buy one to use my ps5 controller on Xbox , but my brother wants to use his ps4 controller on his Xbox. Would we need two? Or could I connect it wireless and then give him the adapter, so he can do the wireless connect thing as well. Or does wireless only work with the adapter plugged into the console
The Wingman XE2 and Wingmane NS converters both state that they only work with a single controller at a time, which are real deal brakers - I aim to play wii games in multiplayer on PC - and I don't look to buy one adapter per player.. The XB2 adapter does not state anywhere how many controllers it allows at the same time (at least I haven't found any information on it) - I also cant find any information on if 8bitdo adapter can handle multiple controllers - would you happen to know if Wingman XB2 and/or 8bitdo can handle multiple controllers - that is the main metric that needs to be in place for me after compability - since I love to play with friends.
With the new cronus detection on warzone 2, I was about to get one of these but then was worried I would get flagged with a 3rd party hardware warning for using this? You tried that yet? Thanks for your help

Hey Kev….Just bought a dual sense edge for the xbsx…but for some reason I can’t get it working through the Brooks Wingman. Can you check to see if it works on your end, on the XB2?
It worked for me, but sometimes it disconnected while wireless. Wired it popped the dashboard on and off and was unusable. But now on their website they now list the Edge as a supported controller maybe they changed the firmware to fully support it. I put the wingman on pairing mode pressing the 2 buttons until they flash rapidly then on the controller hold the ps button and the share button until it flashes blue.

get a astro mixamp, and problem solved
@@Manudefillo Yeah was thinking the same, glad that works
Or you could just have an Xbox controller plugged in , in the background and then just plug your mic into it. Just need to make sure when you get on certain games that you start with your adapted controller and then once your in and it thinks that it’s P1, then you can plug in the Xbox one in the background
Are you able to see the battery life left and if it is charging with PS5 Controller?
i wanna play with my scuf pro instinct (xbox) on ps5 is trhat possible with a brook usb ?wich one?
We need a conformation if 8bitdos ultimate bluetooth and the king kong pro 2 work we the adapter
I asked them this and they said yes wirelessly… I assume that means not wired but it would be great if this could be tested.
Can you use the sound part of ps5 controller as in game sfx through controller speaker or party mode?? Obv adaptive triggers and motion won't work but the speaker part??
Are you able to use Astro A40’s or headphones in general on the ps5 scuf reflex while it is being used on the Xbox?
For example, the headphone jack that is on the Xbox controllers does the ps5 or scuf reflex controllers have that headphone jack?
I'm curious as to the latency using a product like this. I wouldnt mind buying the victrix bfg to use on my series x
Did you end up finding out I am also curious about the victrix BFG working on series s
Thanks!
I connected my Gulikit KKP2 and it works in switch mode but the ABXY buttons are in switch config. Anyway to change to Xbox layout?
Please do a video on the best controllers with hall effect control sticks that can be overclocked. It's impossible to find one!
Can u use it to play wirelessly on PC with reduced input delay?
No nonsense great info....u are the man
Is the latency on the Dualsense with the adapter the same as an Elite 2 controller without the adapter?
Can you please check if this XB2 adapter allows you to OC Xbox controllers on PC to 1000hz?
Very cool i might get one, Merry Christmas to everyone 🎄
Would this work on a Samsung TV, using a ps5 controller, playing the new Xbox streaming service stuff directly on the tv.
@@samemz i ended up returning it as it gave me the warning like a month ago.
I used this on my Xbox series x 🔥🔥🔥 I use ps5 controller so it's sick 🙌
Is there vibration?
@@sanny87 yes :)
@officialteamroc Can you also charge a PS4 controller through the adapter?
Does the Haptic feedback on the ps5 controller work on the xbox games??
It looks awesome but if i would use a PS4 controller with the wingman can i then still use the headphones jack for chatting on the controller? and can i pair multiple controllers with one wingman xb2?
Would the XB2 work with the GuliKit KingKong Pro 2? It seems like that is possibly the best controller you have reviewed quality wise, if only it could be used on consoles.
I asked them about the kk2pro and the 8bitdo controller with Hall effect sensors and they said they would work wirelessly… but I can’t confirm it this is true.
Next up from them needs to be a Dualshock 4 adapter that lets it play PS5 games
With the Edge, it sometimes disconnects. You have to repair it and hoping you don’t get killed in the meantime.
@Anthony Macia That's one thing I never use anymore so not sure if that would work. When I do play online these days I usually mute all voices.
I saw flydigi made a new controller called FLYDIGI Apex 3 Elite it has adaptive trigger the first 3rd party controller who has it I wish to see ur review sir
Does PS5 rumble feature still work when connected to Xbox SX?
Longshot, but would like to know.
If you use it for PS5 controller on S/X would you have to re-pair it to the PS5 to use it on PS5 again?
Will the razer wolverine v2 pro for Playstation work on Xbox series x with brooks wingman xb 2 adapter? I always wanted a wireless version of this controller.
Does the DualSense Edge not work with the XB1?
Do you know if the new victrix ps5 controller will work on xbox with this adapter?
So I have the stealth 700 headset with the usb, can I have it plugged into the front, and the dongle for this plugged into the back and still use my ps4 controller and headset?
i connected my ps4 controller to my xbox. i used my headset and it didnt work. i have the first brookwingman tho so idk
I have the XB2 versión but no work on xbox 360.......only work when disconect the adapter and conect again after shut up the console
Do I do the update you showed even if I plan on using a PS4 controller on my series X?
Can you use a type a to type c lead between the xbox and dualsense controller
Must to connect Wingman-XB2 with them.
Hey just a question, what watch face do you use on your watch? I’ve been trying to find that one for mine
Can you flash the Brook XB with the XB2 firmware and get XB2 functionality on the XB?
How does it hold up now? Is there a way to get the audio to work?
I plan on getting one this month so I could use with a stickless fightpad.
Have you gotten it yet?
I own a bunch of Brook adapters and they all have input lag when using the Switch Pro controller wirelessly. Curious if this one does as well. I've emailed their support about it years ago and it's gone unfixed.
I haven’t noticed any lag when using a switch pro controller
Have you made sure all of your adapters are up to date? My adapter had some serious lag before doing the updates
@@GamerHeavenOfficial That bodes well then. PS2,Dreamcast and Wingman 1 all have lag specifically with Switch Pro for me. Have to daisy chain with a Mayflash adapter to fix the issue.
@@genevievetaylor Yes, I have updated them all. No controller I own exhibits lag on them except for Switch Pro. They've also described it in their support emails as a known issue.
Nice vid is there any input lag? Would wired be better or does wireless work just as good?
But it doesn't show that the PS4 or PS5 controller's touchpad button doesn't work.
Where did you get that awesome Rick and Morty skin for the Xbox it's really cool
Does a cabled headset work plugged in the PS5 controller over wingman XB?
Can a brook wireless fight board (made for ps3 ps4 n pc) connect to the xb2 wirelessly?
I need an adapter to use xbox pad with ps5, which of these adapters will u need?
Great vid. If I am going to play older xbox 360 games on the newer xbox, like call of duty mw2 for example. Will this still work or will the fact that its a 360 game on a newer xbox mess everything up? thanks
If you don’t have a pc, can you play wired ? Will it connect if you just simply turn on your controller while connected to the adapter wired?
Hi can I flip R1/L1 with R2/L2? I will use ds4 or ds5 on Xbox series x and play older cod 360 games
Now MS block all ''unofficial''' accessories :(. They didn't work brooks adapter, i wish brook as xbox partner, it isn't for cheating this adapter! Totally agree the block of XIM and Chronus Zen!
Do you need to connect it with the cable each time you boot up the Xbox or is the wireless connection saved for future uses?
Tried the wired then unplug method for the dualsense Edge, but it kept going to my dashboard and closing it without touching anything. Saw on RUclips, you press the wingman to enter pairing mode and on the controller you press the PS button with the share button and it works.
Is it possible to use this adapter combined with a PlayStation fight stick to work on Xbox One ?
Can I use the scuff envision pro on a Xbox series x with this adapter?
can i use any 3rd party controller like the gamesir nova with this adapter?
With the new cronus detection on warzone 2, I was about to get one of these but then was worried I would get flagged with a 3rd party hardware warning for using this? You tried that yet? Thanks for your help
Is it compatible with the flydigi vader 4 pro controller?
Will this work with the gully kit controller that has the non-stick drift made for Nintendo switch?
Do you know if 3rd party Xbox controller works on ps5 games (turtle beach controller)
can you hookup more then one ps5 controller to the adapter?
I'm looking for an adapter like this one, but compatible with every console, does that exist?
Does the Wolverine v2 pro works with the adapter. And I heard that you cannot use headset and mic with the controller as the sound/mic does not work. How do I get this to work
does the pdp xbox controller work on playstation ? love to know?? with this adapter!
Another banger! Your killing it bro 🤘
How many controllers can be paired to it at a time?
Would the ps controller haptic feedback work on the series x as well?
I doubt it because haptic feedback needs to be implemented by the devs and probably none of them anticipate someone trying to use a dual sense on an Xbox console.
Got it! Thanks
If I just wanted to use this on my ps5 with my ps5 controller just to reduce latency and lag would that be ok
This awesome im thinking about buying this wing man just so i can play street fighter 6 with a ps4 controller, the xbox series x Dpad is not good for sft6
Can you use mic or headphone 🎧 with this adapter connected? Pls 🙏 someone answer
No
I have a Rog Raikiri Pro controller, and a I bought this wingman xb2, but I'm trying to connect my raikiri without using the cable, and nothing happends. Do you know how to make it work? If yes, plz help me.
I have a ps5 .....if i purchase the Ps5 adapter to use my xbox controller to play Ps5 games.....will it work?
Is there such a kajigger that plugs into a wired controller to make it wireless?
Curiosity beckons me to inquire because I'd use my Razer Wolvie more if I didn't need a 20ft umbilical cord.
Can I use this adapter to use Xbox series x controller to play ps5
Can I use this on an ps5 and plug in an xbox elite series 2 controller ?
If I may ask if I use it in Is normal multiplayer while I am using my ps5 controller to my Xbox one Can I work like that or doesn't work like that When you get a chance please let me know
Hey Kev….Just bought a dual sense edge for the xbsx…but for some reason I can’t get it working through the Brooks Wingman.
@@themigwel6185 they ended up sending me a beta download through email. I installed, and has been working fine. Quick funny story tho, I sent them the info for a wingman xb2… but the beta firmware did not work on the xb2. I luckily had a brooks Xb, and the firmware worked fine with the xb, even tho it was previously paired with a separate Stock ps5 controller.
Anyhow, I suppose you can thank me, for being the beta tester lol
Will this work on pc?
How do you use the brook assessory wired?
This device no more use on my xbox , control not response !
The only question I have is if you use it on an Xbox one s then sync a ps4 controller could you use the audio jack? Hoping I can still use my gaming headphones and still use discord
