Great video as usual man, I've actually set 2 of my face buttons on the edge as r3 and L3. I basically get to use all 4 of my inputs without taking my fingers of the sticks and the fact the sticks are swappable I'm ok with early drift from it, 2 paddles suck when you've used 4 for 6 years.
Not gonna lie, this looked sweet until the no ps5 support from other controllers. All I want is a Hall effect PS5 controller. That's my end game when it comes out from some company.
Yeah, basically no adapter right now supports PS5 games of PS5. Only PS4 games in PS5 since it’s basically simulating a ps4 controller. Part of the reason I use the edge as my Pro controller, I can convert to other consoles but can’t convert from others to ps5 yet.

Kevin…great video, but just like I told Brook on Twitter 2 years ago: Until they make an adapter that lets me use an Elite V2 to play PS5 games on PS5, then I don’t care about anything they have to say lol. I know Sony has made it difficult but somebody has to eventually find a way to make that happen. I got so mad when Destiny 2 got a “PS5” upgrade and my $200 Astro C40 became a paperweight instantly. Even though that “PS5 Upgrade” literally made no use of anything unique that the DualSense has to offer.
The “besavior” controller is the only way to use an elite v2 and other third party controllers on ps5 with ps5 games. Unfortunately they aren’t available on any US websites yet. It’s only currently available direct from their website (china).

I thought there might be an input lag portion of this video for pc use. The pc seems to have different lag depending on which converter you choose. I have the switch converter and the xe1 converter. They both have slightly different lag on pc but you can overclock both of them. You have like 5-6 different converters so I wanted to see what the differences are between them. Maybe in another video. Thanks.
I have the Brook PS5 one, but thing is when I plugged in the adaptor and a wireless XBone controller to my PC I was stuck with PS icons to press rather than Xbox icons. It's an Xbox controller! I have no idea (well it'd take some thinking, not something I like to do when gaming :)) where the PSX controls are! I haven't figured out how to get it to work on my switch yet though. But it's pretty cool otherwise. I need the Xbox one, but these suckers are expensive (50 bucks).
I used the Brook2 to use ps5 controllers on my Series X and it is a game changer, the only thing I didn't like was that I had to pair the controller everytime I switched the console on. I'd have used it more if I could wake the Series X with the paired PS5 controller
Hey! Just had a question, when you use the ps5 controller on the series x how's the vibration? Does it also still use the mic on the controller for game effect sounds?
I tried it to get my core series 2 to work on my PS5 and unfortunately for COD it just doesn't cut it on high sensitivity. It was almost like there was no aim assist and turning just feels very strange especially aim diagonal, sometimes it was fast, sometimes slow, but as soon as you put sensitivity down to 4 it's a lot better. I play on 7 and it just is all over the place, at first I thought maybe I could get use to it because the Xbox controller is just so much better but unfortunately it's too random.
I'm using the xonese and it's great with my new Elite Series 2 controller. Only weirdness I'm having is to use it on ps3 I have to plug in that part of my xbox controller and the home button doesn't work (it's spoofing as a ps4 controller which you can use on a ps3.) And I just want to know if they have a xbox 1 to ps3 adapter or some such... I couldn't find it but it's fine, just will continue to use my weird solution haha.
I just happened to order the XB2 but not for modern consoles. Pair it with an OG xbox to female USB cable and you can use modern controllers wirelessly on OG Xbox. Game changer.
There is some sort of adapter for PS5 , well its not and adapter but a controller that allows you to use Nintendo Switch controller on PS5 and more . Its call the Besavior Controller from Beloader. The only problem with beloader it takes them a long time to send the product. I wish they send one for review to you.
@@dan1976z Hey Daniel, what an unexpected but pleasant surprise reply :) Good luck guys, we know Sony've made it challenging, but glad to hear you're making some progress. Can I suggest you create an account on Mastodon so we could follow on the updates? Thanks!
Did they updated firmware support for the Edge? I bought the xb2 march 1st and it kept disconnecting and wired was unplayable, it just kept opening the menu like I was pressing on the xbox button.
i really dont even see the reason for the back paddle button add-ons, because you can use the top and lower shoulder buttons just as easily... unless you have a game that has more functions than your controller has buttons and you need to map them to do everything; but other than that, i just see it as redundant and not al that useful. imo
Can you review a similar Mayflash Magic-X adapter? Magic-X supports Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch plus some older consoles and lets you use pretty much any controller on them except PS5 controllers. There's another one which works for PS4 but maybe not PS5.
Great review, quick question - do you know if this will work with a SteamDeck in docked mode using a Dualsense Edge controller? The main problem I'm facing is Bluetooth latency. I'm not worried about the lost haptic feedback, but I am curious if it'll recognize the controller's unique features like back paddles and gyro, or just see it as a generic controller like Xbox or Switch Pro without those extras. I'm aiming to reduce latency while maintaining Dualsense Edge's special functions. Thanks!
The one adapter they made specifically for the elites wireless that you plug into the controller. Yea never worked💀 I bought 1 got a replacement and all didn’t work. Then even got a new controller and still adapter wouldn’t work. Tried the old pink one for Xbox controller on PS. Works really nice didn’t know they made a green version finally
Plug the adapter into the pc with a controller and do a xinput test
