You can subsume garuda blood alter, then mag bubble onto it for a stationary bubble that will continue to pull in enemies since the altered enemy can not be killed. It is good for room/hall comping

Amazing video, great work. Small correction on the mutalist cernos re: longbow sharpshot - LS is multiplicative with base damage always, and gunCO in cases where gunCO is multiplicative. For non-mag builds where headshots are more reasonable, it tends to preform better in my experience. It's also a pain to farm, so for most players the steel path ones are more reasonable, though :) Thanks for all the mag flavored info!
Great quality video that really covers nearly everything you need to know for Mag. I just wanted to point out that the music for the last couple minutes at the end is a bit too loud, making it more difficult than it should be to concentrate on what you're saying. Now I'm gonna need to dust off my Exergis later. Really hoping for a Tenet Exergis someday (and Tenet Opticor).
I've been a long time mag enjoyer I'd just like to say that short of putting at least a few hours into the frame this video is probably the best and most comprehensive means I am aware of for learning not just how the frame works but a lot of what that can then be applied to, absolutely fantastic and rather thorough deep dive on the frame and several weapons. For what little I can add, I am an avid advocate for long mag (>300% range builds) as taking a hit to strength is hardly a downside on the frame in most cases and having often map wide coverage is, in my humble opinion, very funny. It has also proven rather effective when combined with subsuming silence for making eximus enemies far less of a threat (I found the jade eximus quite annoying when they were first added so decided to just turn their beams off). I'd say I was excited to see you go this in depth with other frames but I think you and I both know mag is just too fun to put down long enough for that :3

Small thing regarding the Mutalist Cernos, you can in fact get viral and cold with just a cold mod (seems to be broken, but idc tbh), also the toxin clouds are able to proc hunter munitions, so going for 45% CC is more than enough in my experience, a riven can bump that up to around 80% which makes this interaction a lot more broken. In this case you can also run Primary Frostbite as you get cold for free. Also bows tend to profit more from reload speed than they do from fire rate, fire rate just modifies the chargeup time, while reload speed drastically reduces the time until you get the next arrow.
Wild production level and excellent guide, was shocked to see such a low view/sub count. I was skeptical of yet ANOTHER mag guide but damn you really cooked here. Obviously good information but I remain surprised every time someone drops a giant guide with tons of playtime on the frame and see yet another new build

I was actually looking at Mag the other day and after reading her abilities, I thought: "Okay, so what does she do?" Good timing this video shows up for me.
Mag's been one of my favs frames for a while and I've been loving her in 1999 missions. note on the passive discussion, you used the area formula to describe the differences in size. but the radius is applied as a sphere not a 2d circle. the actual difference in size is much greater when this is taken into account, going from about 2145m^3 to a 10306m^3 volume. A roughly 4.8x volume increase by using the fetch mods over her passive.
Mag wasn't even bad back in the old days. When it comes down to it being good in the void was what mattered back then and the old shield polarize absolutely nuked t4 void. Just a few shielded enemies present and the entire room would get 1 shot. Honestly not many frames could room nuke to that extent back then as the others fell off way sooner like old miasma spam saryn. Mag actually scaled in a time when barely anything did. So yeah she's always had that stigma of being bad but ironically she's always been overpowered to some extent.
So, weapon jamming does work on Melee units IIRC, and also should work on disarmed enemies too. Plus with regards to robotic enemies it specifically stuns all robotic enemies, so Counter Pulse is a lot better than you give it credit for. Feel free to correct me if anything I've said here is incorrect
Funniest thing is when you drop a magnetize bubble on an Acolyte lol love to see Mag getting love. She was my starter frame and as time went by I realized this was not a mistake. Great info!
I'm a time traveler from the distant future here to say that this video is still true; she hasn't been nerfed or buffed at all, and she has no new synergies with any new projectile weapons or helminth abilities. In other words, she's still perfect.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but: With multiplicative CO weapons, it is my understanding that you want as much base damage and elemental damage on the weapon as possible so that the base number generated is higher to then be multiplied by CO. Ergo, you want Serration/Hornet Strike/Primed Pressure Point + base damage arcane/melee exposure + aptitude/shot/melee CO + primed elemental mod for the weapon (or two for shotguns/secondaries). Take dread for example: Serration/Spectral Serration as needed+aptitude+primed cryo rounds+deadhead for headshot multiplier bonus to get the most out of it. Viral + heat in incarnon (with infected clip) and then slap on eclipse for another multiplier. Both my rivens for dread and paris I specifically rolled for multishot/base damage/crit or crit damage for this reason with base damage being the priority stat P.S. Thoroughly enjoyed the video and this is not a knock. I'm at l2 and mag prime is my most played frame. I watched the whole thing still. :)

Slash Dash is an excellent ability, sure, and it's very simple, yes, but it's _so boring!_ You just press 1 until you build up enough combo that the enemies fall down. Mag actually gets to learn map choke points and interact with the game's excellent movement system and find good weapons and stuff.
Look disarm might not be practical against infested but it rips their arms off(literally disARMs them) which is hilarious. That said if you want to disarm with magnetize it's low key better to just use a Halikar bounce build
So yay, mag bible. Im a fan, thank you. However, about the arca titron: use gas. Dots count towards slam capacitor. Obviously you havd the forced electric proc, so you dont need to mod for electric. Blast would also work, but i think gas is more consistent. I love my bonk be gone hammer
You forgot about Penta's other augment, and the real reason it synergizes with Mag, Napalm Grenades. It makes grenades detonate on impact rather than having to be manually detonated, changes the projectile damage to pure heat (as well as notably bumping up its damage), and the explosions leave behind fire patches that deal light DoT and guaranteed heat status per tick (which becomes much stronger with the use of heat inherit).
I have tested it and unfortunately the grenades detonate on impact with enemies as well, I'm sure a setup using heat inherit like you said would be good but for what it's worth I think the augmentless setup is better in terms of DPS
honestly headshot based buffs don't seem that hard to get down with magnetize, but under the caveat you either do it *before* casting crush, or change the rotation up just a hair with crush then magnetise either way it makes mag one of the funniest users of the Felarx+Crux combo since she is the queen of punchthrough multi hits, and if you really want to go fucking batshit with it, do it with crepuscular+evade over pull

She is good, too good that I have a dedicated account just for her. Its currently 15MR and my Mag's usage percentage is still at 99.6%(I still consider it 100% as Excalibur Umbra was forced)
In my opinion excal is simpler than mag, psudo exalts are common enough on other frames (Gara, Atlas, Khora etc) where their mechanics are more widely understood, yes each is different and scales with different stats but compared to the amount of stuff mag has going on and how much of that isn't communicated to the player with her ability screen I'd say she is more complex.
38:43 Long Bow Sharpshot may have a lower number (300 vs 360) percent dmg increase BUT. Sharpshot Damage bonus is multiplicative to base dmg mods like Mod Serration. While Primary Merciless is addative. Still agree Sharpshot is worse because of the inconsistency.

Just as a suggestion, if you haven't tried it, well of life subsumed over Crush + max duration and range magnetize can do some nutty stuff.You can have your magnetize last about 40 seconds, which pairs exceptionally well with the Nataruk which stack up in the center. The well-of-life victim will take 100s of millions of damage on certain builds (my highest hit was 987m damage with Perigale, which magnetize forces headshots on) which makes it great for dealing with certain enemies.

I think you can do the same thing with well of life, trinity’s subsume, which can nullify status dmg and negate death if you are in its range.

Great vid , but longbow sharpshot is NOT base dmg , it is the same kind of dmg as eclipse so it is a multi to base dmg. Not that i would use it on the Cernos anyways
