About the part where you talk about Bluetooth version 5, don't worry, the Nintendo Switch is still using Bluetooth 4.1 (even with the OLED model, as it says in the official specs page of Nintendo) so in the case of the Switch, 8bitdo is still by the standards of the console's wireless connectivity

@@ayydrizzleSame! I didn't want a switch pro controller if I already had Xbox and PS4 controllers. I bought the 8bitdo 2 a week after my original comment and I didn't tell a difference in racing games which are super duper fast.

This is cool. I wish 8bitdo would make one for the Xbox and Playstation so we can use all kind of controllers on our PS5 and Xbox Series too. Brook's adaptors are very expansive.
Sony and microsoft are more strict with 3rd party im suprised nintendo is so okay with most of it

Why do joysticks have broader system compatibility than controllers? Most joysticks seem to be wired these days. Does that have anything to do with it? I thought Xbox systems were more exclusionary. If that's the case, why do joysticks have problems with the PS5 instead? The Mad Catz Ego vs the 8bitdo Ultimate demonstrate a lot of what I'm talking about. Are there wired control pads that can be used for more systems at once like a joystick?

Wow mine just arrive and it’s almost comical how easy and good it works with the DS4. The motion controls are somehow perfect out of the box and it feels amazing in BOTW as someone who never bought a Switch Pro controller lol!
So gyro in botw will works well with ds4 or ds 5 ? I’m planning to buy 8bitdo 2 for playing TOTK with ds5
@@f_s_p4 yep it blew me away. Works great even for the motion-heavy shrines! Great for aiming arrows, just overall works like a dream. I put in around 15 hours over the last week playing BOTW on it and I’ve been having a blast. I only ever had joycons and never really liked BOTW to be honest but now I love it. Made a huge difference to me.
@@f_s_p4 btw make sure you read the connection instructions carefully. There is a step of turning on wired connections in the switch menu that will make the controller work. If you don’t do that it’ll say it’s connected but won’t accept inputs!
Just want to say the reason its still bluetooth 4.0 is because the switch pro controller doesnt play nice with 5.x

Just one Xbox controller per 8bitdo adapter. The Switch has a 2 USB ports in the outside of the dock, and some docks have a 3rd port inside the dock (some don't, like the one shown at 5:02 ), so you could get 3 8bitdos for 3 Xbox controllers at most.

It works well, but I definitely feel the input lag when I use it. For most games it doesn't really matter, but not great for Splatoon 3 aiming lol.
The input lag was actually great on mine, but the gyro lag is awful on the PS5 controller for whatever reason lol. The PS5 controller has the best gyro tech I know of too so I hoped the adapter would emulate it better but it's real sluggish. This lil adapter works on PC too, so I checked the polling with it and it my PS5 controller hit a consistent 200+ hz which is great. Other wireless controllers input lag I tested was comparable to what they would normally be at stock through Bluetooth
I feel a little input lag on my DualShock but my Xbox controller feels super fast on it. DualShocks have a lot more technology in them so it’s a lot more data for the system to read. Been using my DualShock for BOTW and anything with Gyro but for Smash and Mario I’ve been ripping my XSX controller and it feels superb.
Is possible to turn on the switch using the paired controller? I have a PS4 Dual Shock here, and im thinking to buy this adapter.

Lol I heard you defending input lag followed by the squeaky voice complaining as I was finishing an invasion kill and got trigger. Then realized you were talking about a switch and I was like yeah ok I concur BUT Mario Party shouldn't be on the list for games that are acceptable to play with unequal input lag.

To be honest, it would probably be the XBox platform. All of them have pretty much admitted it’s the best design. Look at how many times the XBox controller design since the 360 has been imitated in one way or another.

For some reason the Egde dosen't work with remote play. U can connect the Edge to the tablet you're using but when in the remote play app, it just dosen't respond. Id like to see if you can figure that out. I know you don't have much on remote play but thought I'd mention it. Please figure this out sir. Porfa please Captain Stalion, haha

its cause 8bitdo is a little bitch of a company and DROPPED support for xbox controllers due to "product upgrade" which is a bullshit excuse for them to force you to buy the same adapter with the features you originally bought the adapter for at a marked up price.
whats the range on this thing? I sit about 1.5-2meters away from my Switch/TV and about 40cm away from my PC when gaming on there.

So recently I bought this adapter and I've been using an Xbox controller with my Nintendo switch but for some reason the motion control isn't working. Does anybody know why its not working?
Xbox controllers don’t have motion motors in them. PS5 or PS4 controllers have motion controls built in them so if you got one of them you’ll be able to use that feature
It worked fin to pair a ps4 controller to the switch, but I can't resync the ps4 controller back with the ps4.
You need a cable to connect your Dualshock 4 to your PS4 again, that's how I reconnect my controller back to the original console
