I was having issues connecting too. Never used a pro controller on my switch. So I had to go to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Enable Pro Controller Wired Communicatoin. Not sure if that applies to your case, but could be helpful to others having issues
@@mantic1467 email support if you’re using dual sense the ps5 controller has a firmware that happened in the last month or two that messed up everything.. 8bitdo personally emailed me a firmware that’s unreleased I used to update my stick on my laptop and it instantly worked… I did not believe it would work after the million things I did including messing around with firm wares lol
I updated my 8bitdo to the latest software then i completely powered off my switch and and restarted it. i held the sync button on the adapter and plugged it in the switch (should blink green), then i turned back on the "pro controller wired communication and paired my Xbox controller and it paired and worked
First keep the controller connected to the Wireless adapter. At this moment the control, despite being connected, will not be working. Go to the settings in "Commands and sensors" and activate the option "Pro controller wired communication". Leave option enabled. Then, on the main screen, go to "Controls". And go to "Change order or hold mode". At that moment, with the controller you want to connect, press the "Share" button and the "L1" button at the same time. this should work!
These are all modes : VIEW + UP = Xinput mode VIEW + LEFT = Dinput mode VIEW + RIGHT = Mac mode VIEW + DOWN = PSC mode VIEW + LB = Switch mode VIEW + UP + LEFT = MD mode

Etc press in the D pad, This indications only works in xbox controller , if you have other control , search manual in the oficial page.

I have bought 2 dongles and i have 2 Xbox series controllers,the 1 controller connect's with the 1 dongle, but the 2nd controller doesn't connect with the 2nd dongle,any idea why is that? And how i can connect the second controller with the second dongle??
I have a similar situation where I plug in mines and it won’t light up but as soon as I take my nintendo switch out of the dock it’s lights up for a few seconds then just turns off, anyone have a fix for this?
I have same problem with adaptor version 1 (grey) after update to fw 1.33, so I roll it back to fw 1.32. For your case try to update your adaptor to fw 1.02 or 1.01 may be fix this problem.
I had the same issue with my PS5 Dual Sense controller, so I popped the adaptor back into my computer, updated it again and it worked!
