FORMULAS:
PAINT: Oligo Pro Blacklight Extra Blonde Lightener- I started with 10vol for my first bowl, moved up to 20 vol then 30 for my last one. Also had 1/16 oz. Olaplex in each mixture
PRETONE: Filled the blonde first with Redken Shades Eq 1.75 oz 9aa + 0.25 oz 8wg with processing solution for about 10 minutes
ROOT: Oligo Calura Gloss 6nb
ENDS: Oligo Calura Gloss 8gk with a dash of 6gk

This is wonderfull, it reminds me of the first balayage I had, nearly 30 years ago, my hair had then exactly the same colour! very true what you say about the base colour too. but I do sometimes add a bit of golden copper to the 7 beige I use as base colour.
Aww I love that :) I bet a bit of golden copper on a level 7 beige is sooo pretty and rich! It's probably all in the formula ratio🥰

My natural color is very close to your client’s. I am pretty much all grey at the roots as I have been coloring it for about 5 years now. Can you give me a formula to get close to her natural hair color? It would be greatly appreciated it.
I'm trying to go strawberry blonde from dark reddish brown. I've bleached it and of course it's brassy/yellow. I'm desperately searching for how to tone this into a soft strawberry blonde color. Because I don't want to cancel out too much warmth, right? Overwhelmed please help.

Since you already have the gold/ orange in the color from bleaching you’ll want a neutral toner/ gloss to soften and cancel out the grassiness while maintains the strawberry blonde. Use 1 level lighter than your current level. Example if your a level 7 use an 8 neutral. However, without seeing your actual hair color this is just a suggestion.
Why stylist call foliage „balayage” ? Those are different techniques…
They are you’re completely right! Most of my clients just know the term balayage and since they’re just going by the look and not the technique and don’t care what technique I use they’re just looking for the results I’ve turned to calling most looks balayage and then when I break it down to fellow stylists or clients if they ask that’s where I get more technical which is how I went about it in this video. That’s just what works best for me and how I do things!
