As an artist, I love that you understand color theory! There are 3 primary colors (red, yellow and blue), and 3 secondary colors ( colors resulting from the primary colors being mixed together, i.e. orange, green, and purple). Red and green are complimentary colors. Each complimentary combination when mixed makes a varition of brown. I'm thoroughly impressed with your theory regarding your hair color technique! Well done!
Yesssssss color theory 🙌🏼 Everyone always wants to run to the bleach😩 I’ve been loving Stella Cini’s videos on color theory lately, love seeing other creators talk about it!
I noticed something in this video. The client was super relaxed while you were coloring her hair. She didn't appear to ask questions about your process as she seem very trusting of you and your technique. Kudos to your professionalism and expertise. I wish I was near Delaware.
Thank you so much for noticing! I actually do a consultation before every color so the client knows every step of the process and then I walk them through again the day of and let them watch in the mirror as I’m coloring 💖🫶🏽
I used to love this color combo in the early 2000s. However, my natural hair color is sandy reddish brown, so it didn't take long. Now I just stick with burgundy... but this hairstyle took me back. ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
gosh you do an outstanding job! So particular & efficient! Color is hard but back in the 70's & 80's when I worked things were so limited. The foils didn't come out till I stopped to raise 3 kids. We did those old plastic caps & pulled the hair through for a frost, so everyone looked the same, basically! So fun watching you change peoples lives❤❤❤❤
as someone who’s in cosmetology school and is heavily invested in the world of coloring and lightening, this video was so informative i had to subscribe ❤️❤️
lol it actually wasn’t I didn’t really get into color until after I was licensed for a few years but I wanted to make money like the girls I saw online so I practiced a lot 💖💖🫶🏽🫶🏽
Much RESPECT! How you explained the coloring process thru & thru is amazing. That is a real stylist. I used to always watch my stylist do color on her clients. She did the same thing. It takes a lot of time, but the end result is well worth them 8hrs + in the shop. I know I used to be the one in that chair all the time.lol
Wow! You’re a master of color that’s for sure. You did an amazing job. It is absolutely beautiful and it looks great on her! Her hair looks so healthy nice girlfriend!❤
Listen this is all science! I’m just observing. lol Your client jabbered the whole way through the video, so you know she was comfortable and trusted you. Color went smooth and the final project was gorgeous. ❤
Hi and thanks so much for watching the green color I showed in the beginning and it’s linked in the description box 🫶🏽 I used the forest green by iroiro. I’m going to post the longer version on my website with all of the different formula breakdowns it was too long to post here 🫶🏽
Nice job. Bleaching is tough - see my photo. You did an amazing job. Black girl's hair takes just as long as white girl's hair. I used to be able to a full head, long hair, highlight in 45 minutes. Not now. When I was on my game. There is a reason it's the second oldest profession. A bad haircut can make anyone look stupid. I got my Barber license in 1988. I do friends and family only now. It's a great life, I miss it everyday. I love watching ethnic hair techniques. Ya'll are masters.
Omg that’s awesome and thanks for even taking the time out to watch and show love. I love your hair in your profile pic! Did you do it yourself? The color looks absolutely stunning on you 🌸💖
Thanks for sharing. It turned out really nice But 8hr hair dying on braiding time is a little bit much for me. But; when you know what you doing I guess for some it's worth it.🙂
Thank you so much and I understand this is considered a color correction and a color so they always take longer because I like to take my clients low and slow to avoid damage. 🫶🏽
@@CassandraOlivia Thank you for replying. Yes, a story time would be nice about your school story but also about how you taught yourself to understand color. You neutralize unwanted colors well. Have a great day.
love this, do u have a video of how u gained clientele after cosmo school? i’m in there now and i wanna specialize in color, nails, braids etc. did u go into a salon first or a suite? this is my first video i’m seeing of urs so i’m curious!
Hi I went to cosmetology school and I learned the basics there but with the color corrections I am self taught just practicing on mannequins and my friends and family until I perfected my technique. 🌸
What colors do you use to remove blue? My locs was blue for years. I damaged some of the ends of my hair years ago to remove the blue. I just ended up trimming out the blue. My locs are back healthy and thick, but I am so afraid to die my hair again given the fact that I would love to go back blue, but I just don’t know how to safely, remove it

I’ll have to check her out and yes I love using color theory for when I’m doing my color corrections 🫶🏽💕 Thanks so much for watching ☺️
She still had to use bleach to go lighter. Neutralizing the tone doesn’t lift the dark color.

So clever! It never occured to me to use opposite colors with direct dyes to neutralize them. Impressive job 🙂

Beautiful, another way would have been a color remover Argan Brand and shampoo with green and/or blue shampoo and then just apply.
Thank you so much and omg I actually use that brand too 😆😆😆
Oh my gosh…she’s one of those stylists who is worth traveling to visit.

Hey love I posted the clip of the blonde on my shorts feed I show me mixing and applying it on this client at the bowl 🫶🏽
Hello there,
What school did you get your color education - or classes from? You really do a good job and have a strong color background.
lol I actually learned color from practicing my beauty school shut down it was sketchy I’ll maybe do a story time one day
@@CassandraOlivia Thank you for replying. Yes, a story time would be nice about your school story but also about how you taught yourself to understand color. You neutralize unwanted colors well. Have a great day.

Hi Orange cancels out blue ☺️
Question as a newly lisenced master cosmetologist, why not lift the red at the top with lightener to blonde? Is it because it might turn pink
That’s correct ☺️ I wanted to make sure I canceled out the red by using the color wheel first before I lift.
Just beautiful you are amazing
Thank you so much ☺️
So what was the green mixture consisting of?
Did you mix the green color with any developer?
No ma’am I have the full tutorial on my website under my membership videos at www.cassandraolivia.com
So I would like this service where can you be located // booked... Because these are my colors
Hi I’m located in Delaware ☺️
Nice ❤
Thank you so much 💕🫶🏽
So did u strip the green after u put in with a color stripper or just wash it out and it looked that blonde on the ends? I'm confused
I have the full tutorial on my website it’s the pinned comment 🌸💖
Did you mix a developer with the green?
No I just put it directly on
Hey hey, I was wondering what dye do you recommend for covering gray?
Hey what color are you trying to cover it with? It all depends on your desired look so I need more details please.
@@CassandraOlivia I'm trying to achieve like a medium brown not to light
That is nice......the BOMB
Thank you so much ☺️
can this same thing be done with copper brown hair?
Yes depending on the starting level of color
