Hey aliena ! Hope you're doing well. Your video just popped up in my YT and I found it really helpful and motivated as I'm on my first course and almost done with the 3rd week . I'm an architect and really got lots of work so I can't take the classes on everyday basis but I really want to finish this course as soon as possible. Sorry that I made a few mistakes at the beginning of the video by saying "product management." This course is about project management, though the skills can be used for product management too.
Product management is about managing the product (e.g., iPhone 12), which is more strategic. Project management is about managing projects (e.g., improve the camera of iPhone 13 in 12 months), which is more tactical, focusing primarily on the execution side. This video was indeed helpful, in a process with first course in that foundations of project management , its so good and gaining interest in that, thanks Aliena Cai, bless u college student from India :):) also doing this course in audit , will paying when a good time arises as its its not about certificate its just a piece of document , but main thing the skills which we get from that respectively.

Been looking at this course, not a fan of the agile manifesto as people take it too litterly which sacrifices effiency when you have a good team. I'm so glad i found your course reviews, like you, I'll probably end up taking most of them. I know personally marketing in business is my biggest weakness.

I recently noticed that you need to go through an identity proof process to get your certificate. I recall that there was a line of text in the accomplishment page.

I finished my UX one. I wanted to take Project Management as we.. Do I have to cancel my coursea subscription and start over another subscription for each course? One Coursea subscription does not allow to take multiple courses? I'm kind of lost here. Any answer will be highly helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, there are many templates in the reading sections and activity sections. So usually they ask you to do an activity (e.g., complete a persona) and within the prompt they share you a link to the template. Make sure don't skip these activities! 🙌😄

Yes you will receive a certificate, but based on my experience, using the skill you learned from the course to polish a resume/portfolio and get real life project is more important.

Hi there, you should have a one big certificate in the "accomplishment" page under your account. Maybe it takes a day to process.
Hello, I enjoyed watching your video! I am considering this certification program and had a few questions:
1. Was the material hard to learn in modules 5 and 6 or did it just take a longer time to complete?
2. Was there a certification exam that you have to take once you complete all of the modules? And if so what was the exam like?

For your first question, I think the later courses just take longer time to complete. Not really hard.
For your second question, there’s no “exam” you need to pass. But you need to pass all the quizzes - you can take multiple times to pass those.

Im currently taking the Ux design course for google but strongly considering signing up for this one to do along side of it. would you recommend doing both at the same time. Like do you feel the work loud for PM course is possible with the Ux course ?
I did the UX design certificate last year and the 2 last courses took a lot more time than the first ones. I put a lot of effort on each project and also read all the support text given. Having a full job I wouldn't think of doing both at the same time. Now I'm thinking of doing the PM course.

Hi there, the capstone details are provided to you through a list of readings. The readings will describe the scenario, some of them are emails thread, etc.

I registered for google management project certification since I registered 5 days ago and I did not start because I was asked for national id, passport or car license, I only have a national id and every time I send it it is not accepted please solve
Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t send any identification to take the class so I’m not sure. Maybe you can try audit for free for now just to get started?
@@AlienaCai I'm talking about the certificate, I was asked on the e-mail to send my national identity card, passport or driver's license so that I could receive the certificate I only have the national ID card and every time I send it, it is not accepted

It’s Notion!
How long did it take you to complete the 6 courses? Since they offer a free trial for 7-days. Would I be able to complete it within that time diligently or would I eventually have to pay $40 to have that additional time to complete the course...
I complete it in 3 months. It's a long course. With the 7 days trial, you can try out course 1 and course 2 which will also give you 2 certificates. If you don't want to pay, you can apply to a financial aid to take the course for free.
do they require recording videos , writing scripts and attend weekly meeting ?
Nope, nope. Everything is self-paced.

This capstone project requires a lot of reading etc. I think it was around 30min per day on weekdays for a month.
I enjoyed the IT course, and had new opportunities very quickly open up, about the Project Management and Data Analytics courses, are there fully remote jobs for these specialties?
Yep, I know many tech companies are still doing fully remote and they hire PMs and data analytics. I think it mainly depends on the company culture.

Good question! You will get a certificate for each course, and a big certificate after all six courses. Give it a day and check your email :)

How long is it taking you to finish the Google Certificate Courses? PM, UX, and any more if you did
Usually 3 months per course, I dedicate around 1 hour per day. Except the data analytics course which is something that I don't find very interesting.

Hi Karla, if you are more interested in becoming a UX designer, then do the UX one first. If you are more interested in becoming a project manager, then do the PM one first. If you are still deciding your career path or you have strong preference, I suggest you to take the first course of both certificates and then decide which one to start from.
When I was doing the course, I did it one by one because each course has a lot of exercises.

Hi there, the video and the transcript are in English. I would believe they will be adding translations in the future. For now, you may have to translate yourself or using a plugin.

Great question! I suggest you to go directly to the Agile course, in the beginning, there will be a quick quiz to see whether you can skip all the previous courses, which I believe you can! I think the agile and the capstone course certificates can be more valuable for you :)

I’m really considering this course for personal development purposes. For some reason I think PM is about becoming a good manager. As a manager in my Human service job, I think I should take this course especially because I have no college degree. What do you all think 🤔?
PM is different from traditional manager because you mainly manage project/product instead of people. The course is still valuable though! I also recommend you the book “the making of manager”

Which course did you enjoy more Project Management or UX design?
I personally would say UX design, since I'm more into design from an early age. But a lot of things that I learned in PM courses are also essential no matter what career I choose in the future.
