I am looking into a uxui boot camp and narrowed it down to Springboard, Designlab and Avocademy due to affordability. Does anyone have any negative critiques that could help eliminate a program?
I learned the music production, graphic design and professional photography on my own, but made many mistakes along the way, hence, my interest in a program.
I’ve heard about Springboard and it sounds pretty good. However, I can’t answer your question because I didn’t take a bootcamp course. I’ve pinned your comment so that other viewers can see and respond to your questions 😊
I’m in Avocademy I love it
@@talanceastevenson8730 I'm leaning towards Avocademy because it's price point and because I have an MBA in Business, but I'm also reluctant because it's a newer program and there is not enough information online about it. Is your mentor industry knowledgeable? How many real business portfolios will you have upon project completion? Anything else you'd like to add would be helpful
@@angelcamus393 well there is two programs if you take the foundations you will have one project on your portfolio , I also took designlab but I left and joined Avocademy, mentors are nice some of them are past students, I’ll tell you more in a few when I wake all the way up lol
@@talanceastevenson8730 I was just looking at designlab what made you leave them and try avoacademy?
This video is made for everyone who's working to become a UX designer 😄 I hope it's helpful! (And I kinda hate myself for pronouncing "role" as "rule" but you probably understand what I meant.)
Hai alinea you are doing great job!
i have done a 6 months certification course in UX UI Design and now i am looking for career upgrade could you please suggest me any master course in ux or somthing advanced ux course .Thank you🙂
Especially in UX Design / Product design.
Thanks a lot Aliena for each video you make, you are so helpful and every advice is important and means a lot to me 🤗 I'm currently studying the Google certificate, and about finishing it so your videos are on the goal for me..thx again, and I just want to know how can I find a real client to work my real portfolio study case?
I’m in Course 2 of the Google UX Design Certificate and it’s so comforting listening to someone who graduated from the same program and landed a role.
You got this 👍🏼👍🏼
Same here
did you finish it?
Is the course of google ux design free?
You're one of the rare RUclipsrs who actually put out info that is important and not just repeating everything that others already said. Thank you so much for teaching me something new today and helping me improve!
Thanks for the support and comment ❤️
Agree, there are so many others trying to selling their courses but no real information. Thank you Alina!
I appreciate what you said in the end, "...if you can improve a little bit in design every single day, then there is no way you cannot find a design role". Very motivating. Loved this video! New to your channel and I'm already hooked.
I'm currently in a UX design bootcamp and the ocean of new designers is quite overwhelming, that worries me for when I will need to job hunt.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️ I totally feel you when you said "the ocean of new designers", the competition is so high in junior/new design roles but it's going to worth the effort 👍
interviews are like flirting, match the energy of the recruiter, speak their langage, be confident, and definitely know what u are talking about.
I just discovered ur channel, great job Aliena, these tips are so good to hear !!

Wish you all the best with your work :)

Bcoz my age is 26.. now this is correct age for change Career path.. pls advise..and really ui and UX design have scope in future??
@@keerthivasan9807 Hey. UX is definitely growing in India and now is a good time to switch careers. For India-specific UX questions, I recommend Saptarshi Prakash's RUclips channel (ruclips.net/user/saptarshipr)
thanks...a lot
Thanks for the video, quite useful ☺️☺️☺️
Thanks for the comment and support ❤️
Wow these tips are a life saver! thanks a ton for the video
I’m really glad that this is helpful ❤️
@@AlienaCai oh yeah, my indeed went from crickets, to a phone interview an hour after replying. The resume tips are essential!! Thanks again!
this gives me hope to carry on 🖤
Keep going! It took me a long time and a lot of self doubt to get the first role. But it will worth it ❤️
I love your videos, keep it up
Thank you so much!! I will do 😄
Hi Annie! I’m currently enrolled in a boot camp course and came across your videos. I would love to set up a time to ask you some brief questions about the industry if you have time!
you know, there’s so many videos and guides online that tell you how to become and to get a job but you’re the only one i trust, it’s like your energy is sincere and you truly want to help people step their foot in this career. thank you for that. i’m in an 1 year bootcamp (ends in october), i’m in some slacks but i haven’t worked in real life projects YET and haven’t really started networking. i predict i’ll start applying around may and june maybe? just diving in haha i’m just waiting for when i feel confident with my skills because i’ve never worked in my life and i know the anxiety would kick in if i’m not prepared lmao ok long text. thank you thank you for this video you’re an angel 🥺
as a question: do you feel more comfortable doing ux or ui?
Hi there, my work experience is also close to zero before I enter the field of UX. I understand the self doubt and fear you are having. I had that too, and I’m proud of what you are doing now. Regarding your question, I’m comfortable with both UX and UI, but more excited about UX 😀😀
@@AlienaCai your words are so encouraging, thanks! and eng isn’t my first language so yeah i meant being excited about one 😅 personally i feel the same, ux is some lively stuff
Thank you, Aliena - this is just the pep talk I needed today! I also completed the Google UX Design Certificate and have been looking for a job for the last few weeks. It's such a slog! And can be so disheartening at times. I'm going to keep at it and, hopefully, I'll have some success soon. 🤞
Thank you for sharing your experience. All the best, do't forget to leave another comment when you have a good news 🙌
How long takes you?
Dude u r a real utuber now im cryinggggg. It has been a long way since filming on india rooftop lol
Dude thank you and you shall sleep earlier! Love from Seattle ❤️
Hi Aliena! Thanks for sharing this information. I am a full time Graphic Design and I am currently studying the Google UX certification program. Hopefully for the next few years, I will transfer to be a UI/UX designer. Love your videos!!
Glad it was helpful! If you are a graphic designer, I believe this transition can be done within a year 🔥 All the best!
@@AlienaCai Thank you!
Its also been hard finding internships as a college grad as as many of them are selective for those that still in undergrad.
I totally feel you!! I'm also a new college grad and didn't get into any internships that I applied to😭 Don't give up, I did a project on the side and used indeed to find the full time role. It wasn't easy for sure.
Hi love! Really appreciate your videos being a springboarder currently! Wondering if you could elaborate on the resume scanning as it pertains to not building your resume I’m figma. I already built mine using this tool *sigh*. Thanks for your insight!
This is so precious! Thanks for this content, Aliena! I'm on my way on becoming a UX Designer developing my first case to my portfolio, and sometimes I tend to lose hope due to this huge amount of requirements and pressure that falls on the beginners. I wanted to ask you if with just one project I have real chances. If that is the case, how to manage it to work as my "showcase"?
First of all, thank you so much for your comment and support! With your question, I suggest that you can apply to things while working on maybe another case study (it can be a 1 week case study that redesigns a feature of a popular app. Check one this video for example: ruclips.net/video/lHQ_0_lAdT0/видео.html
I understand that it could be very difficult fo motivate yourself through the process. Don’t give up! Hope this helps 😁
Só não pare de cantar, Douglas!
