I can't praise your work and content enough. It's always super helpful, informative, and you come up with some of the most creative uses for gear/streaming in general. S tier content tbh.
I clicked on this video because I was tempted to purchase a stream deck for my setup. This looks incredible, but it appears I have quite a bit to learn. Great video nutty! I didn't realize just how much you could do with those things.
4:54 can you make a video of what lights and what program exactly can be bought and used for this script please and thank you, this will help a lot so we don't have to buy 400 dollar lights and we can just use your script and buy whatever lights we can and just use your script
17:51 you say "turn on and off my SnapCam Video Source" and the camera just slightly blinks. Are you using the same camera? If so: How do you do that? Because normally it's like: When the camera is active in OBS, you can't use it at the same time in SnapCam, you have to close OBS and lalala... @nutty
This is usually the case with UVC webcams or UVC capture cards. I'm using a Cam Link Pro which allows me to uses my cameras in multiple programs (i.e. it's not UVC).
You do a great video.....a balance of education with sly sarcasm. Love it. I have created my own icons for various CAD apps so I can use the XL and an 8x8 virtual on my iPad. Keep up the great content. I find new ideas every time.
For the light control stuff, you might want to take a look at setting up Home Assistant on a cheap PC or a Raspberry Pi or something. Works with tons of equipment of all varieties, including Elgato and Yeelight stuff, and there's an excellent Stream Deck plugin that cleanly integrates with HA and gives you control over it. I currently use it to control three different devices in my computer room: the overhead lights, a set of RGB lights, and my air conditioner. All works flawlessly through that plugin :)
you gave me a bunch of ideas for my set up since i use an XL and a pedal now, and that made me subscribe to your youtube and your twitch. Can't wait to see what you inspire next!
I like that triple setup, especially the audio controls seem worth it. I just got the foot pedal and use it to switch between virtual desktops and mute/unmute my mic.
Long Press needs to just be a general setting across the board with Stream Deck. I assume they don't want that though, since people will realize they don't need to get the XL as frequently.
First off - I admire your work style. You're by far the most inspiring stream bro on YT right now. Question thou - did you explain somewhere how exactly is the transition at 14:43 made? How a full size cam can get a mask over it and position itself in it like you've shown??? The same thing as at 15:31 Thank you in advance

Great Set-up!!! Love the buttons Question on the Panel Action Bar... I can not find the button action to show or hide them... can you please let us know the Plugin used to do that?

Thank you so much for this video, I'm a small streamer still trying to get new ideas on things to do to add and change up my stream so this was very helpful!
First time on your channel. Definitely subscribed. This was amazing! Love the attention to small details and scenarios. "Saves brain power" is such and underrated statement. The one thing that was a bit off for me was the one button on the right hand deck to change the "profile" of the left dynamic deck. I would think the "Dynamic" deck itself would have at least one dedicated key in the same spot on all "profiles" to switch it's own profile. I think this would use less brain power as well since it remains on the deck that controls it's own state, and you are already facing the direction of the next button press for the reason you are switching to that profile in the first place.
hey man do you have a video for the button where you hit and everything opens that you use to start streaming and is there a way to have a button on the stream deck to toogle start each of the aitum multistreaming start streaming for each platform
Can’t wait to get a knobbi boi and a pedal pal. They look so fun and helpful. The quality appears, at least at Best Buy, really high quality. My HD60X is awesome.

Although I don't and have a desire to stream, this is my favorite informative video you have put together. Along with the fact I really enjoy your personality on your videos. Back to the point, I love this video probably because I want to get a 2nd XL device for DaVinci. However, I would have my plus on the left and the 2 XL's side by side (personal preference). One thing you didn't explain in detail, at 9:32 I can understand using profiles to change the Stream Deck but how do you cause that to occur on a different Stream Deck?
2:07 true, fiddeling with folders is more difficult than just to do it on the app itself. i also run 2 SD (standard and a XL) and a GoXLR .. and "sometimes" it actually works ;)
@nutty Can you please show me how to route your audio and do the speaker to headphone audio trick etc.? I also have a Scarlett solo audio interface as well...Idk if what I am doing wrong.

on the one side, 3 seems a bit excessive...on the OTHER hand, if one was just used for sound effects and the other 2 for everything else, I guess it would make sense. I still need to try and get at least one of these
I just got my 2nd XL, to go along with a Deck+ and the pedal (so FOUR decks). 1. The pedal sucks...I use it - but it's not instantaneous - I lower the response to 1ms for a function like VoiceMod (me and my Vtube cohost) and sometimes it takes up to 2 seconds for the stupid thing to actually work. It's trash, so I try programming it for things that don't need that instant switch action.... (powered 3.0 hub...) 2. Deck+ is barely scratching its surface. Zooms and volume, yeah...but what if I could zoom individual images or groups in OBS - or have one set up to ROTATE a scene/image/group???? [*blows conch shell to summon Exeldro*] 3. I have different "rooms" - a game show studio; a lounge; different scenes for memes (dumpster fire scene; space station looking out a window; dank bathroom in the bowels of the space station, etc etc etc) So I'll be using the XL on my left for the game show studio and the new one on the right for the Lounge. Every room is fully animated with Move Transition to be able to move to any part of the room (go to my guests; go to my arcade machine; zoom in anywhere) - so one XL was getting way too slow to do all of that along with SFX; VFX (downstream keyer FTW!!!) on the fly (one man show) 4. Now - I can have the two main rooms with their own XL; the Deck+ for technical stuff (camera zooms; volume of me/epidemic sound/chrome/guests/discord guests/etc) and I can have each XL have "studio SFX (crowd laughs/boos/cheers/crickets)" one page turn away - or the random other rooms/scenes each nearby - so I don't have to jump into the depths of folders and folders ALSO: Elgato needs an update with the option to turn on/off the ability to have all copy/pasted folders to stay updated - instead of learning that some random folder in the depths of 4 clicks down being an older version that is 8 months old and has none of the stuff you've added, etc Thanks for coming to my STREAM talk. Hit me up for questions.
And my slow-ass pedal does a few basic functions - but for some reason, using the pedal for Advanced Scene Switcher "previous scene" (elgato! Add this to your goddamned functions with OBS!!!!) can cause my 4090 13th gen intel super computer to crash once in a while for zero reasons....
I’m interested in purchasing these three stream decks. How do I connect them all? Do you plug them into each other or do I plug them into the computer individually?
Hi can you plse help I’m new to pc and streaming just purchased Elgato xl but when I have put in scenes for obs eg starting soon I’ve noticed on most streams that they have eg title then another box and scene I only have title and scene so when I click the button on the xl and check ins it’s not doing anything wat am I missing plse
Awesome video man! Question: Exactly how much equipment is plugged into that hub? Do you have any USB Bandwidth issues having all that stuff in one hub and therefore one port on your PC?

What should I look for in a proper powered Hub? I got a usb 3.0 powered hub from anker but it seems to randomly decide that a stream deck won’t work so I’ve had to plug them all directly in
Great video, the main thing I got from it is that I need a bigger streamdeck.. :) I use just one streamdeck on my stream rig and one on my game rig, it's a bit of a nightmare and I'd like a bigger one (thats what she said) but I've made it work by generally having a main splash page with the most used things and then some sub folders and pages with the lesser used things for making life simpler like being able to connect directly to a discord channel. Generally on most deep rooted folders or pages, I'll have a link directly to my main "splash page" so I can get out of where I am and back again without having to press back or up on the folders a million times, it uses up some space but in the long run I found it to save time and frustration, I've always wanted a "back" button on the side of the deck tbh. I run a few plugins like a discord plugin, audio monitoring/source/mixer plugin, obs tools plugin and probably a bunch more that I forget over the time of using it. Here's a run down of my setup, I've always meant to make a video but never got round to it lol Main "screen" that has: Folder for NDI sources, Folder for gameplay zooms, folder for a replay suite, break screen, gameplay screen, capture replay, some memes I'll use regularly, camera on and off, screen blocker NDI folder has NDI audio and video source control for three other computers (my two sons and my gf, as we play together), folders for positions of the NDI to give them focus and a folder for game overs on my son's PCs for when they're grounded :) Second page on my streamrig stream deck has these folders: "Camera Admin" which is where I can move my camera to pre set points on my screen, blur it plus restart the logitech software "Screen Blurs" to blur any video source I have access to including the NDIs ect "Memes" Things I dont use very often but like to keep access to like a classic GTA wasted for example "Mics and Audio Sources" pretty straight forward "Discord Capture" so I play with a few people from the stream and I have a discord capture setup, I have it setup with mutiple folders inside depending on how many people I'm playing with up to 4 others, to be able to optimally crop to show the most of their views, plus being able to individually zoom in on their captures at any time. "Stream Elements" which is just like pausing alerts and reloading overlays should I need it "Ads" I don't use it very often at all as an affiliate but I like to have everything handy if needed "Start/Stop Stream" Lots of multi actions and direct scenes if anything breaks. The multi actions tend to restart certain softwares like logitech to make the settings kick in, starts the stream, runs a 3min ad to remove 60mins of pre-roll (pretty much the only time I do run an ad), mutes audio sources so intros run without doubling audio, post intro multi actions to clear any memes that got stuck and turn audios on or off where needed, closes down NDIs left open from previous streams. The stop button does similar but copies out any "replays" that I saved to a seperate folder so I can delete all of the raw recorded seperate footage easily. Again, this page isn't used much during the stream unless I use discord or need to blur something. Third page is just a few random tools and a sleep button plus a dumping ground for loading the odd image I need to display (tarkov maps for example when I was learning them). Game rig stream deck: Mostly just folders of sound effects for comedic timing, all linked to play through the mic for extra comedic. Have a spotify media list of buttons on it but so does my keyboard, also a button to control audio sources with the buttons as sliders.
Do you like sprinklers that go like this "FFFF-ffff-FFFF-ffff” or the ones that go like this “Pfffffpfpfffffpfffffpffft”?

Folder for NDI sources, Folder for gameplay zooms, folder for a replay suite, break screen, gameplay screen, capture replay, some memes I'll use regularly, camera on and off, screen blocker
NDI folder has NDI audio and video source control for three other computers (my two sons and my gf, as we play together), folders for positions of the NDI to give them focus and a folder for game overs on my son's PCs for when they're grounded :)
Second page on my streamrig stream deck has these folders:
"Camera Admin" which is where I can move my camera to pre set points on my screen, blur it plus restart the logitech software
"Screen Blurs" to blur any video source I have access to including the NDIs ect
"Memes" Things I dont use very often but like to keep access to like a classic GTA wasted for example
"Mics and Audio Sources" pretty straight forward
"Discord Capture" so I play with a few people from the stream and I have a discord capture setup, I have it setup with mutiple folders inside depending on how many people I'm playing with up to 4 others, to be able to optimally crop to show the most of their views, plus being able to individually zoom in on their captures at any time.
"Stream Elements" which is just like pausing alerts and reloading overlays should I need it
"Ads" I don't use it very often at all as an affiliate but I like to have everything handy if needed
"Start/Stop Stream" Lots of multi actions and direct scenes if anything breaks.
Game rig stream deck:
Mostly just folders of sound effects for comedic timing, all linked to play through the mic for extra comedic. Have a spotify media list of buttons on it but so does my keyboard, also a button to control audio sources with the buttons as sliders.
How do you connect your microphones?
The batch file to reboot the streamdeck and my promter: great idea TX
