That double drumming bit is magic. Dead, ABB, TTB---two guys synching up, changing time signatures, passing leads & fills back & forth; building to quiet to building...& can't just stop. Magic...
We're drummers! AAAmazzing! Chang times change leads drum sizes make one 12 drum set isaac classic jazz set Falcon Bonham set oh so thick at any volume and totally hanging With his Maestro is phenom CLAP CLAP CLAP
@@jazzisall1 without active listening trucks sound is excellent but if I guess you are blessed to have those big ears BB King asked the Hollywood bowl crowd about you certainly hear beyond greatest electric slide player or guitarist at all for that matter, on any kind of world scale Trucks skills as a musician are historic and guitarist ineffable.
TTB are the new torch bearers I have watched Derek over the years with other musicians he watches their hands . Or it seems so .When I go to concerts that's what I do. I have my few crazy moments but I watch the fingers on the guitars hoping to replicate. Derek us too fast for this ole lady and Susan you are my favorite female artist period . You have the most soulful voice and can play like all get out its amazing .
One of my all time favorites!! I'll always remember hearing it live for the first time outdoors at Saratoga last year. (CHILLS!) This song is Amazing! MountainJam vibes all the way to my soul . Spotify said I played this song 82 times in the end of the year wrapped . 🔥🔥🎸🍄🤘😃
It does I was working security at the orphan Yum and I swore he was playing some rhythm and the smoke was coming off this the strings I almost pulled the fire alarm
Around the 5 min mark the smoke should be billowing out of Derek's guitar and hands and the fire trucks should be summoned! Wow! The man has taken over the pedestal as far as I'm concerned. Pure magic almost every time he picks up the instrument, yet one of THE most humble artists ever.
Saw Derek open ror Gregg at Electric Factory in Philly, Late 90s. Derek was maybe 18 prob 17 yrs old. Was so shy but his playing was prolific. Treasure that show. Was wild. He was a child. Also, Gregg's band was pretty much 38 Special. Got a 4 song 38 Special set. You know the girls went wild! Great show.
I love watching Derek play. I don't play guitar, but i can't figure out how he seems to play with all 10 fingers and all this unbelievable music happens. I don't think there's another guitarist who comes close to being as great as he is.
I agree! I have followed him since 1999 and have seen him Live many times times with DTB,ABB,TTB and have seen many great guitarists over the years and I thought Jeff Beck was the best guitarist I've ever seen live but for my money he is by far the best guitarist on planet EARTH!!!
19:44 Derek turns to the drummers and does a fist pump with a big grin on his face. I can't recall him ever showing that kind of emotion on stage! Only with his back to the audience though. 😄 Such an awesome, yet humble talent. ✌️🇨🇦
This was such an Outstanding concert, I for sure thought it could not be outdone. It was by far the absolute, no doubt Best I had heard in my 58 years 👏👏👏👏👏👏 However at 59 I saw their Sep '23 show with Warren at Boston Garden Party. This show raised the bar to an impossible height for all future concerts. One of those rare moments in life where our language really can't represent our emotions. This I s the closest I can come to express my feelings ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Derek is a master slide player , but i love it when he plays straight guitar !
He has such a unique approach without the slide, love it too.

John Martyn did the same thing. Derek for sure knows John's music.

Gabe needs to get the credit that is due. Fucker can play.

I 99/100 use my fingers on the right hand. So I'm used to playing like that. Derek's right hand makes no sense, incomprehensible
This band is special
Reminds me of Les Brer in A Minor off of the Allman Brothers "Eat A Peach" album
Bingo. They meld the roots well while keeping to their brand.
I was thinking the last half of Mountain Jam myself, but I can dig it
Thank you so much.❤❤😊
Best band in North America!!!!
I think they're the best band in the world now. It kills me that you have a band like TTB and people flock to see Taylor Swift.
This is my favorite instrumental by The TTB Band . I’m surprised smoke doesn’t come out of each player’s instruments especially Derek’s Guitar 🎸

Do you know how many guitarists could pull this off? One, Derek Trucks!
Only top musicians in this band!
Absolutely ripping!!!
I saw them play this is San Antonio last night. It was crazy!

Have seen them a few dozen time and the respect that they each show to fellow band members is refreshing. Peace
Simply amazing. Great drumsolo too!
great camerra catching Gabes fingers! Greedy I want more!
Really can't thank you enough.
Merry Christmas Ellen. Thank you so much!
7:20-8:00. OMG - love it!
There are some surfer music licks in there along with ragas!

No words
Cool to see 👀 Derek playing a 335 style instead of the faithful SG
That song flew bye , can't believe it was 20 minutes.
❤❤❤🔥🎸🔥❤❤❤
or maybe "mountain jam"
Pasaquan
Badassery from start to finish 😮😅
mm-mmm-mmmmm
A 335? He makes all guitars make the sound he wants anyway!
I think they need to toss Joe Russo in the mix for a third drummer. Call me crazy. 🙂
The new drummer seems timid. All the dynamism is coming from the one on the left.
