Thank you for this video. I was a part of a study abroad group at my college back in 2005 and we traveled all over southern India for an entire semester. We spent a while in Kerala and this video really brought me back to all those amazing memories of the things we got to do there. Including the tiger reserve and those woven boats on the river. It was so nice to see them again after all this time. If you ever get the chance to go back to India, riding a train is such an adventure. Oh Allison you've done an incredible job on this and sparked our interest in India in a way we hadn't thought about it before. i'm so excited to explore learning more about the places you went. I am sure that Kerala Tourism is delighted with your work! (I know of what I speak ...) and 100% agree on the outdoor shower. We had one in Costa Rica and it was magical because of the temperature and because of all the tropical vegetation that usually is part of the shower area. Thanks Allison!
Hey, if you like india so much and financialy very fit .I reccomed you to buy bike and travel mountains side of india specialy Himachal pardesh , utrakhand and north east But i highly reccomed you to southern madhya Pradesh if you are looking for green mountains with river b/w them and water falls. it's also famous for its wildlife specialy for tigers.Lastly most of the foreigners do mistake that they spent much time in boring indian dumb cities and don't see what india is really about. If you will travel by road you may find beautiful villages and totally different culture from cities.
The state was run by the Indian Communists for decades who paid a lot of attention to education and health care; many Indians working in the Gulf come from Kerala.
You picked a fabulous place for your first visit to India. Having started documenting my travels this year, I'm currently covering the locations at Kerala's neighboring state of Karnataka. But, Kerala is at the top of my bucket list locations for next year's explorations. You've captured its landscapes spectacularly. Kudos to Kerala tourism for hosting you.
Visiting Kerala for me was strikingly similar to some African countries, beautiful greenery, elephants and of course beautiful African Indian people. I loved it.
@@breezeanonymous6034 There is a debate Indian black people are of African origin and Indian brown /white people are of Aryan origin. But Indian people are mixed race of both Aryan white and African black people
To be honest when I arrived in Kerala and saw the “God’s own Country” catch phrase from its tourism department, I kind of rolled my eyes. But somewhere along my trip, as I took in the natural beauty and the love from its people, I gradually realized I didn’t even want to leave that place. It truly was God’s own country. It had a way of making everyone feel at home. I still feel like I belong there and I am a malayali (although I don’t speak the language). One of most beautiful places I’ve ever been and that’s not just the nature, but people too.
I have been to 12 odd countries in Europe, south east asia and lot of places in India.. Kerala is my most favourite place so far.. truly gods own country

The first foreign vlogger that didn't have cows, slums and autos in the thumbnail xD. India honestly has so much nature and greenery, especially South and North East. A lot of the Airbnbs there will remind you of Bali and Philippines. Meanwhile mountains and cottages are in the far north, we have places that are called Mini Switzerland! But sadly none of the foreigners show that and only a very small part of India is shown via slums, chor bazaars and places that even we as Indians don't visit.
honestly, cows do not wander on the streets here in kerala..Cows are invinsible in cities but taken care of in farms in rural areas..In rural roads also, there are no cows
@@lakshmanmanoj3911 but here in chattisgarh the situation is become worst as the cows wandering in the roads gullies and even in the highway and main road of cities, this is due lack of care. It always buffs me that most foreigners often only visit to Delhi-agra or mumbai, while the absolute beauty of india lies in the north (j&k, ladakh, himachal, uttrakhand), north east and Western ghats (maharastra, gow karnataka and Kerala). Loved your video. I am also an Indian but i haven't been lucky enough to visit this state. I hope i do soon. Sending love to you from India. i hope you had a great time and would return again.😊🇮🇳
True that, I guess they visit Mumbai and Delhi because it's more convenient, you don't need a tour guide to travel around these places , whereas the extreme North, North east and the islands&ghats require some sort of acquaintance. Also these places aren't really promoted well , they are lesser known hence people find it risky to travel to those parts . But truly they are the gems of India . I'm glad people are at least exploring Udaipur .
Kerala is indeed beautiful! I live next to Kerala called Karnataka (where the tech hub of India called Bengaluru or Bangalore is) and I alternate between these two states. I have watched your videos on Iceland and other places and loved your footage and storytelling skills. Happy to see a part of my country featured on your travel vlogs.

Nice to see Kerala videos....
I am Malayali now 84 years old. In 1950 kerala had 18 million population towns and cities were less polluted than now in 2024 population is 36 million. Roads are congested with vehicles motorbikes cities are filthy stinking with garbage heaps and raw open sewage gutters... People are greedy selfish arrogant consumers have fallen for the ads of capitalists to buy their products. In year 2035 population will be 50 million. Kerala is overpopulated youth leave for European countries USA and Arabian Gulf countries seeking job and better quality life. Overpopulation is problem all over India with 1400 million selfish greedy arrogant Indians all over and everywhere... Hhoooo what a hell is life for the young Indian in India added to it is greedy politicians and crony capitalists like ADANI who was nobody but got wealthy by friendship with politicians in power who made Bank loans easy for them less corporate taxes and favorable tax free business opportunities in turn for lavish party funding.
Finally someone promoting India's picturesque scenery in their beautiful way .... Thanks a million ☺️🤞☮️

The first foreign vlogger that didn't have cows, slums and autos in the thumbnail xD. India honestly has so much nature and greenery, especially South and North East. But sadly none of the foreigners show that and only a very small part of India is shown via slums, chor bazaars and places that even we as Indians don't visit.

True words
It always buffs me that most foreigners often only visit to Delhi-agra or mumbai, while the absolute beauty of india lies in the north (j&k, ladakh, himachal, uttrakhand), north east and Western ghats (maharastra, gow karnataka and Kerala).
Loved your video. I am also an Indian but i haven't been lucky enough to visit this state. I hope i do soon.
Sending love to you from India. i hope you had a great time and would return again.😊🇮🇳
I'll add rajasthan and andaman/lakshwadeep also in that list. India is incredible. Lucky to have been born there and travel visa free!
Exactly! Central India is basically a village. They should visit these other parts
Kerala is indeed beautiful! I live next to Kerala called Karnataka (where the tech hub of India called Bengaluru or Bangalore is) and I alternate between these two states. I am glad that you had a great time exploring India. I could however see the struggle with the heat.. 😅
My family is from Kerala and from what they have told me and from what I’ve seen I can say with certainty that it is among one of the most beautiful places on earth and is home to some of the most amazing people as well it makes me proud to be Indian!
As a Keralite, I must say it's not just the inherent beauty of Kerala that captivated me, but also the exceptional quality of your camerawork. Thank you for portraying our homeland so exquisitely. Kudos to you!
My hometown Chikamagaluru, Karnataka is also similar to Kerala except the backwaters.
It has many tall mountains of western ghats, breathtaking waterfalls, splendid view all across the town
And India's 70% coffee is cultivated here along with Kodagu and Sakleshpur
