This is amazing and so beautiful! South Africa is on my bucket list for sure. I cannot get over how you can just be out in the open so close to the lions like that in an open vehicle!!!!! My jaw is on the floor
Cape Town was my first international trip and I went solo. I had the most amazing time! I hiked Lion’s Head and Table Mountain, went cage diving with Great Whites, and biked through Cape of Good Hope - It was incredible! Sadly I didn’t safari while there, but what an amazing story with the antelope and the leopard 😍
You are really lucky to have gone white shark diving. For the past few years all the great whites have disappeared to the point where there aren’t any trips being offered. The reason they’ve disappeared is the appearance on our shores of the orca - which kill great whites and remove their liver with surgical precision. This causes most of the great whites in the area to completely disappear from the shores. It’s sad but amazing to have the orcas. People who have experienced the white shark diving back then are very fortunate
@@safiakhan8498 I went in 2015 and that was the beginning of the decline in S Africa actually. Been to South Africa twice and spent some time at Ulusaba in Sabi Sands both times. I’ve since been on safari other places in Africa and around the world. I remain convinced that Sabi Sands spoiled me, as far as the best overall safari experience. Nothing compares.
Thank you for capturing my home & country so beautifully. I am proudly South African living in Cape Town, it truly is the most beautiful place in the world. SO much culture, beauty and so many incredible activities, restaurants and more to see. It is perfectly safe when staying in the hub of the city and the Atlantic seaboard. Just don’t walk the streets on your own at night and you’ll be perfectly fine! A big misconception is that the areas tourists visit are unsafe, this is not true. Majority of crime occurs in the neighbourhoods that tourists would never visit, they are far out of the hub. The safari looked incredible, hope you’ll be back soon ❤️❤️
I'm am from Cape Town and feel very lucky to live in this City! The next time you're in South Africa, you should take a trip along the Garden Route, which will lead you into the Eastern Cape. The Eastern Cape is an extraordinarily beautiful province (be sure to stop at Wilderness, Storms River, Jeffreys Bay, Bloukrans Bridge, Amathole Mountain Region and Tsitsikamma). The Eastern Cape also has beautiful national reserves. I'd also recommend a trip to KZN to visit the Drakensberg!
Awesome advice!🌻 Born and bred in Long Street, Cape Town, but made Jeffreys Bay my home. Love to travel, but never want to leave - I love this country so much! Most of my family have left, but I still believe that this is the original garden of Eden, and I feel blessed to call it home.
Thank you to my fellow Saffer for remembering us here in the beautiful Eastern Cape, we have smaller game reserves that cater for every budget, from our amazing Kragga Kamma Game Park in Port Elizabeth to Addo Elephant Park to our internationally renowned Shamwari ( where the Hollywood stars go) and we have awesome beaches, restaurants ( seafood at our harbour restaurant is highly recommended) and so so much more…
South Africa looks so so beautiful! It's been on my travel list as well for a while. I've been to Kenya and Masaai Mara national park but I'd love to explore more countries and areas in Africa. I love this video!

I have lived in South Africa all my life and have been to Kruger National Park numerous times, but I have NEVER heard of a Leopard dropping an antelope next to someone out of a tree and splattering blood over them 🤣 Consider it Africa's special gift to you. I am glad you had a good time in our beautiful country.
I like the sound of this guy, I am also a travel enthusiast but sadly I don’t have the financial power to live my dreams of a n adventurous life, if it’s possible I would also like to do business with this guy, what is the best way I can use to reach out to him
Great video -but I just don't resonate with the message of coming to SA for a week or 2. Do we really want to live in a world where people travel long haul for just a week or 2? That doesn't seem sustainable. I feel if we use planes to go so far, we need to go for a month or more, else we should hold back from travelling so far. May I invite you to be mindful of the implicit values / message that you send out there. thank you
Cape Town is one of my favorite places in the world and you captured it so well! I traveled there in 2019 and I was alone for part of my trip and with friends for the other part. I was super careful in the city and booked Airbnb experiences like hiking Table Mountain, so that I could do those bucket list things with a group & a guide. Thank you friend for sharing such beautiful scenery and information. In addition to the beauty of your visuals, I was also impressed by your editing skills.🙂
Well done, Allison! I'm a Capetonian, so viewed this with a critical eye, and you did excellently in the short time you gave yourself to describe Cape Town! Cape Town IS the most spectacular combination of city and nature anywhere on Earth; well done. Your wildlife adventure was spot on too! Thank you for being realistic about the crime problems.
Glad you hired a driver for half a day instead of renting a car. What happens when/if you break down?.. The crime is shocking! Left there after 5 decades. Really happy to have been able to. Take care! God Bless you on your travels! Lovely brilliant video!
Allison, every single shot you took is eye candy ❤️ The leopards, oh my God. So beautiful. I'm curious, aren't the drivers afraid of running over a lion or something? You were so close to them! I know you mentioned safety concerns. Did you feel safe the whole time you were in Cape Town? Numbers definitely don't mean safety but I really admire you for going alone!
hey, as a south african, I can say that Cape Town is one of the safest places when it comes to cities. I am from a city close to Sabi Sands called Nelspruit and I travel to that places a lot for work, everything you see there is the cream of the crop, but if you really want to see South Africa, ask the local people who stays here, not everyone here are out to steal and kill, we are caring and friendly people who loves our country and want just the best for it and it's people. As a filmmaker I must say also, the quality of this video is tops. I am working on a big story based series tackling stuff like poaching and stuff like that, but also show how beautiful this country is and that there is still hope for this country despite corruption, power cuts, killings, we are here to welcome you in our country and we love it when we see videos people make of our country and posting that. Just one last thing, please make more time to see the other parts of our country, there is so much more to see and experience than just the big 5 and table mountain. Thank you
@@filmwithhannes hi 👋🏻 thanks for your insight. It's always interesting to hear from a local! Of course we're not saying everyone is out to steal and kill but Cape Town does have a bad rep internationally. As someone who's never been there, it's definitely a bit daunting to think about visiting a city that's known to be 'dangerous'. But hey, we live in London and have witnessed what, 7 arrests in less than 5 years (from our window) and in our street alone there has been a handful of stabbings in just a few months so what the hell do we know 😅 I guess the media only highlights the bad bits about a place sometimes. Cape Town does look absolutely stunning and we'd love to visit one day! I still admire Allison for going alone (as I always do, regardless of where she goes) :)

@@travelmurmur the thing with cape town is that it has super dangerous areas that make the entire city look bad. The Touristy part of the city is mostly super safe, just don't leave valuebles in the open, don't be an idiot and you'd be fine.

I'm a full time solo traveler, and South Africa has never been high on my list of places to visit. However, I've found myself in East Africa for 4 months and ended up with a house sitting opportunity on the coast in Cape Town for 6 weeks, so I'm unexpectedly heading there soon. This video just made me SO excited! Thanks for sharing!
I stay in Cape Town and as a local I suggest staying in groups and not out past night time on hiking trails etc otherwise it’s petty crime like pick pocketing especially your cellphone you have to watch out for ❤ but I love my city and can highly recommend the wine route as well which is the franchoek area which is phenomenal 🦋 brass bell in kalk bay is so cool or cape to Cuba xx the cbd for night life, boulders beach with the penguins and Clifton beaches for a day in the sun. Cafe caprice in camps bay is amazing restaurant in the day and a lovely party space to dance with awesome djs in the night. Beautiful little coffee shops along seapoint main road and if you can get down the west coast to langebaan is such a treat 🌸 stellenbosch is also stunning along with fish and chips in Hout Bay. Omg can you tell I love my city? 😊

I grew up in South Africa and live in New York now! I was in Kruger many times and also lived in Cape Town for 1 year. Thanks for sharing, your voice is great at narration of the travel and being a former South African I can say that you REALLY know what you are talking about in your video...thx!
Sorry, I had to laugh here! 😁 Foreigners are soooo Soft!... 'I got blood all over my jacket! ' (three tiny spots) 😉 As South Africans, besides all the other rubbish in the world, we're also trying to cope with up to 8 hours of power failures per day.😵 Gotta be Tough to survive here! Nice video anyway and really glad people are still visiting our Awesomely Beautiful country🏋️
There is a reasons behind the rules the National Parks, and it is protections... the Private game reserve simply explore the animals, disturbing them in name of more money so it really depends if you are there about the nature or itself...
This has been so beautiful! Sharing my experience too in case is useful to others. I did the same trip back in 2016, Namibia and South Africa. From both countries I have to say I did like Namibia a lot more. Animals and nature are equality stunning in both countries, but I had a radically different experience with safari guides. In Namibia, we were received by guides from the local tribes and the message we got from them at all times was that as visitors we had to respect their land and appreciante cherish what nature would show us. They shared so many stories about their life in the country and got to know so much about the history and rich culture of Namibia. In South Africa, it was the opposite. All the guides we had were disrepectful to the animals. They would purposefully drive way too close to them, bang the doors and even one guy drove the vehicle towards two resting lions and almost hit them. They did all they could to stress out the animals, to get them to stand and get defensive. They kepts saying 'the tourists want the pictures', and we got the message that, if you pay, you could just go and do whatever you want. That was not the experience I was looking for, I would go to a zoo if I wouldn't care about the animals wellbeing. When you choose to travel to the other side of the world to see an elefant where the elefant belongs, it is really disappointing to see tour guides bothering them this way.
Please report the Tour, safari company u went with & had this unacceptable experience, both to the companies management and to the South African Tourism Board.

I'm from the Eastern Cape and I 100% agree 🙌
I have lived in four provinces in South Africa. Am now living on the Garden Route. It's definitely the most beautiful place in this country❤
I'm from morocco you're welcome 🤗
U have to it's worth it
I've lived here my whole life but u will still see something new everyday
I'm from Egypt
You are welcome 😊
This was a dream to watch! So inspiring, can't wait to visit South Africa one day.
From someone who’s lived in South Africa for five years, you explained everything spot on and so well! You really gave the viewer a great idea of what Cape Town and Kruger is like 😄
I'm from morocco you're welcome 🤗
Try 50 years, you would know what that vile government is doing. Blind, blind, blind
Thank you for capturing South Africa's beauty so well 💗 I grew up there X
Africa is beautiful, I hope you will visit Morocco 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
I’ve been to East and South Africa ten times each time solo. I never once felt threaten, uneasy or frightened. Best times of my life have been in the Africa bush. ❤️🦁🐘🦒🦓🐆
When I visited South Africa, Kruger was definitely the highlights, but I must've spent at least half a day hanging out with the penguins at Boulder Beach! They're my favorite animal🥰

This video made me so proud being a South African🇿🇦Thank You Allison🌻
Extraordinary! I have only visited national parks so far and have not yet seen a rhino and leopard! I would love to one day have an experience like this. Thanks for sharing..! Also.. hope you get to 1 mililon subs soon!
Woooaaah seeing these animals you captured really sparked this child-like enthusiasm and happiness in me, incredible videography. I am road tripping South Africa in a week I guess I have never been this excited!!!
Looks so stunning! South Africa is high up my list of places I want to visit
She must have thought it OK to sleep with her windows open. 🤯
There’s nothing sweeter than being able to afford the luxury of traveling to different locations as enchanting and beautiful as this
I like the sound of this guy, I am also a travel enthusiast but sadly I don’t have the financial power to live my dreams of a n adventurous life, if it’s possible I would also like to do business with this guy, what is the best way I can use to reach out to him

Love this vlog! I am from Cape Town and also think it is truly one of the most beautiful cities :)
Mustafa
It truly is one of the most amazing places in the world and your story telling and video footage is incredible. So glad I found your channel :)
Allison, the photagraphy on this video was truly amazing! You are so talented and it really shows! Love from Sweden🧡
Your videography skills are on point! Thanks for inspiring me to want to go to South Africa :)
Stunning ❤😂🙏 South Africa 🇿🇦
WOW! Absolutely stunning video! Looks like such an incredible experience 😍
This was so inspirational Allison! Thanks so much for sharing. Your family must have wanted to climb in your suitcase!!!
I'm so glad you had the opportunity to experience my home country. It is a magical landscape with the most beautiful beaches in the world. Come back soon!
HOME TOWN! C.T.👍🇿🇦🇬🇧🇿🇦🇬🇧
Oh this park is definitely on my bucket list now!
It has been my dream to go to Capetown for years and I was always scared as a solo female… Thank you for doing this and showing me what is possible and this beautiful part of the world ❤
Bring some friends with you on your first trip! That way you can get more comfortable with traveling and the country in general
Great video about my country. In your next visit add the wine farms and Robben island, but also the Eastern Cape, they also have national parks and beautiful beaches in the Wild Coast!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm heading to South Africa in April.
South Africa beautiful country beautiful people 🇿🇦👍
Brb planning a trip to South Africa now
I would love a video on how you plan for these trips. Like a step by step. Whether the trip is sponsored or not.
Such a fantastic advert for South Africa....THANK YOU!
Thanks for such a great video of South Africa. I am South African and appreciate how others will get to see some of best that our country has to offer.
just went to south africa and this sums up my whole trip. great visuals and well explained!
south africa has been on my travel wishlist for years and i’m finally planning to visit this september! this video made me much more excited for the trip!
September is still raining a lot in cape town so i suggest u come between November and march
Wow! How did you get the dynamic range at 2:54? I have the same gear but wondering what settings you used!
Allison, every single shot you took is eye candy ❤️
The leopards, oh my God.
But hey, we live in London and have witnessed what, 7 arrests in less than 5 years (from our window) and in our street alone there has been a handful of stabbings in just a few months so what the hell do we know 😅
I guess the media only highlights the bad bits about a place sometimes. Cape Town does look absolutely stunning and we'd love to visit one day!
I still admire Allison for going alone (as I always do, regardless of where she goes) :)
@@travelmurmur thank you for that info, I would love to visit London one day and make a movie there or move there. I am a qualified film and TV productions person with 15 years experience, so if you know of something, please let me know, thank you
@@travelmurmur hey, just subbed you. Will start to watch your videos now from the beginning.
@@travelmurmur the thing with cape town is that it has super dangerous areas that make the entire city look bad.
The Touristy part of the city is mostly super safe, just don't leave valuebles in the open, don't be an idiot and you'd be fine.
Absolutely wonderful video Allison. I actually live in South Africa (Durban) and haven't even seen some of the things in your video, I guess I need to start doing more travelling in my own back yard. 😍
Awesome video Allison promoting our beautiful country. As a tour guide myself you've definitely done us proud. Hope to welcome you back soon. Stay blessed!
Cape Town has been on my list forever. I think I may have to plan a Namibia/South Africa trip. Your video was beautiful.
How does one get an opportunity like that?
East Africa your prior choices you welcome Ethiopia. The land of origin❤❤😢😮
@@triphabesha I will definitely visit Ethiopia when I get the chance ❤️
Very good shooting skills.
Love from (Agra) India.
Didi or Sister, you have a mind-blowing voice that God gives you.. It impressed me a lot.... Videography is just awesome❤❤valuable content........ That is free😮
Takes some courage to not lose it sorrounded by lions at night! 👏🏼
Africa is beautiful and thanks for capturing it's beautiful moments.
I don't know how I found you but after this video I am sold! Subscribed and definitely going to South Africa !!
Foreigners are soooo Soft!... 'I got blood all over my jacket! ' (three tiny spots) 😉
As South Africans, besides all the other rubbish in the world, we're also trying to cope with up to 8 hours of power failures per day.😵 Gotta be Tough to survive here!
Nice video anyway and really glad people are still visiting our Awesomely Beautiful country🏋️
You and suitcase Monkey are like my favorite travel content creators now.
Hello, Miss Allison
I have a request for you to please visit northern Pakistan 🇵🇰 I am sure that you will find it lovely and beautiful both
And it will super cheeper and crazy experience
Guaranteed 📈📌
Please have a visit ❤❤
I love your videos so much! I'd been planning to go solo travelling (not for the first time, but for the first time in a long time) at the start of this year but things got in the way and life is difficult right now and I am living vicariously through your videos instead. Thank you!
Solo traveller is sweet planner❤❤😮
Well done on this amazing video. I am fortunate to live in this beautiful Cape Town. We have one of the most diversed countries. From Cape Town and the most amazing coastlines to our beautiful winelands right up to our National parks with amazing wild life.
One of your best videos yet! I felt like I was there on Safari and experiencing South Africa with you. And thank you for shining a light on how great solo female travel is... it gets tiresome when people always question my life choices to travel the world solo.
I saw a baboon on the way to the Cape of Good Hope. I also had the analogy that Cape Town reminded me of San Francisco.
I always look forward to your travel videos, I find them so inspiring. I learn about places I wouldn't have necessarily thought to travel to (helloooo Oman) and am constantly in awe of the beauty of the world. And as another female solo traveller I love how you work to normalize this concept. Thanks so much for sharing!
Funny, you sound like a California girl. Every sentence is incomplete and I can't tell when it's a statement or a question. jk, cool video. I'm filled with envy.
I live in ZA and I've traversed this country to all corners, you've not even scratched the surface of what you can find here. Yes, traveling alone is a bit daunting, but I can promise you 99% of us locals love meeting new people and showing off this amazing country of ours, even with loadshedding nothing stops us from lighting a braai and knowing how to have a blast of a time! xD
We absolutely LOVED your video and the way you captured (and edited) the beauty of South Africa! 😍
My fiancé and I are really contemplating going to South Africa for our honeymoon, but we are a little concerned in terms of safety after some research. can anyone share their own experience and how safe you felt while you were there? we will take all precautions necessary of course, but I don't want us to feel anxious the whole trip about safety because that's not what a honeymoon or trip should be. any advice from personal experiences or advice would be appreciated :) thank you
South Africa is a place like any place in the world, you don't have to panic, crime is allover the world, you need to come and enjoy yourself😀🙋♂👋👋

I've always wondered why female travel vloggers need to put in their titles the fact it was a solo trip. I don't see male vloggers doing that. As a former Police Officer, I just really don't think that's very smart. Lovely video though.
Hey Allison, thank you for putting a positive spin on my country especially Cape Town, that's where I live and its simply the best city in South Africa. There is still plenty to see here so I hope you come back again. Your photography is really the best I have seen in a long while, the close up detail is amazing and its been great to see how you have captured all of the animals.
Agreed
Omg loooooooove!! I went in 2017 and going again in April! What camera are you using it’s incredible! ❤

The most beautiful country in the world ❤️
I'll be your Chauffeur in exchange for some photography tips 😁 ❤
Cape town is so beautiful but it is also so not representative for SA cities. Travelling alone in Johannesburg? Would not recommend that. I went there to visit friends and even they wouldn't stop in the city centre for more than 5min.
I m watching your videos from Pakistan and wanna join you really Amazing
That prancing of the Wildebeests has got a amazing name . Its called LOLLOPING . Impala also can be seen doing it.
And also Springboks which you dont see in the Kruger area
I’ve learned more from this video than I did from my 2+ years living in Cape Town 😂😂😂. I always told myself ‘there would be time to do all these things’ but time went by soooo fast!
As a South African I'm happy you loved it here 💖
I'm from Cape Town and I love how you captured our beautiful city! Xxx
Thank you for visiting our country❤ i’ve been here my whole life, so you get kind of used to it, but its wonderful to appreciate it again through a tourist’s eyes
In Capetown now, second time here and still planning on coming back, beautiful city
