Every time I go to Taiwan, I look for local seasonal fruits! There are so many delicious fruits there! My favorite are guava, mountain apples, lychee, mango and sugar moya! Travelers, please give it a try, you’ll love it!
Taiwan is definitely a hidden gem of Asia. Taipei has been ranked as the fourth safest city in the world, but in my opinion, the entire country is generally very safe. I have personally witnessed people in restaurants casually walking away from their tables and leaving behind their iPhones and MacBooks unattended. Moreover, I can confidently say that most of the time, you will find your lost valuable items in Taiwan. It’s an amazing country.
Haha. I am visiting Taiwan with my family. We have lost our cellphone, etc on the bus, restaurants, etc. and we were able to get them all back. Lost items will be turned into police stations or bus/train depo. I once had to chase a bus down to get my cell phone back. After many stops, it was still there. Not only Taiwan is a very safe country, they are also very friendly. I have asked for directions countless times and they were all eager to help. I love it here.
I have a Taiwanese student who always shares to me about Taiwan. I realized I feel inlove to this country more and more each time he shares to me. Definitely a country I want to visit if I get the chance.
Absolutely stunned by how you portraited Taiwan in this video. Taiwan is really often underestimated or even ignored when it comes to travelling in Asia. Like this video :)
I just traveled through Taiwan for four weeks. In my opinion, I never felt safer than in Taiwan. Although I must admit that besides Taipei I didn’t like the other cities like Kaohsiung too much. Also you missed out on my favourite places like Alishan or Shifen for the stunning nature. Must do’s are definitely the hotsprings!
As someone whose been watching your videos since the og makeup days, it’s been SO cool to watch your content evolve through the years and I swear the keep getting better and better. Such gorgeous shots and just overall fantastic videos :’)
It’s because of all the hype of big cities like Paris, New York,Tokyo and London. There are so many other places are so much worth visiting than those cities.
Thanks for sharing. Love it. !! Taipei (Taiwan in general) is one of the safest big cities to travel in Asia, you can walk through a city park or small alley at night without having to worry about safety concerns. The food is so good, it becomes a big part of enjoyment on your trip. However, if you are allergic to certain ingredients, then you probably want to be a bit cautious about the food you take. If you don't mind the language barrier, it is definitely highly recommended to all solo female travelers who want to explore Asia cities.
I am Taiwanese and living in The State. Every time I visited Taiwan, I discovered something new and exciting. There are so much culture, old and new, luxury shopping and night markets, eating, and outdoor nature to explore. Thank you for visiting and sharing with more people to visit this lovely country.,
I just moved here from New York City born and raised. I am slowly learning all the beauty that surrounds me here in Taiwan. I loved at the very end you said that Taiwan is safe being that I'm from New York and have a general paranoia of theft. I'm gradually letting down my guard and learning what you said is true. Kudos to you in your posting of this video
What a gorgeous and thoughtful tribute to the country so dear to my heart. Thank you for a beautiful video. You really showcases the “other” side of this beautiful island!
I went to kaohsiung a few years ago with a friend! We went to a cash only restaurant but we didn’t realize it was cash only until after we had eaten and the bill came. We explained this to our waitress! That we had credit cards and we just needed her help finding an atm to pay. She told us not to worry! Are we staying locally? We can get cash and then pay tomorrow! No rush. I thought that was so sweet of her. I have never experienced that in the us
So exciting! Taiwan is amazing and while slowly growing in popularity, it's still very underrated, at least in the West. I can't believe I finally managed to visit a place before you created a video for it. :)

Hi Allison...thank you so much for this on Taiwan! My wife and I just moved here 3 months ago and have been wanted to get out of our neighbor and you stimulated us to visit some of these places. I especially liked what you said at the end about the safety and not having to lock your bikes. Taiwan is so safe and the people are incredibly nice. Thanks again!

I absolutely loved my visit to Taiwan and I think you definitely captured the beauty of it in this video. I travel a lot and I can safely say that food-wise, Taiwan is one of the best places to go. The food is excellent! I tried that Fu Hang Soy Milk place as well and actually, we went twice because it was so good. The night markets are amazing too. Although a bit touristy, I think Shifen and Jiufen are definitely musts. And don't worry if you know nothing of the language, Taipei is very easy to navigate!
So glad that you came to Taiwan!!!!! I’ve been watching your video for many years. Suggesting that next time you can go to Tainan, a city with sooooo many delicious traditional snack. You’ll gonna love them❤❤
What a great video! You truly caught the beauty of Taiwan and Taipei. I was in Taipei for about five months but it rained most of the time so I just assumed it rained almost all the time there. You got great footage of blue skies and sunshine! And you got a 7-eleven there! When I was there they had these eggs in their convenient stores that had a strong scent to them... maybe century eggs. Beautiful video. Thank you for your post! It looks like you had a fantastic time there! Kindest regards.
Thank you! Yeah it was pretty cloudy for Taipei and most of the east coast but then we got to Kaohsiung and it was like a 180! I guess that side of the island is known for being much clearer. Taipei seems like a fun city to spend a few months!
