The more I listen to Pantera the more I catch little moments like that. In the song Piss, Vinnie really changes the whole feel while Dime plays the chorus riff just abt the same. It has a really cool effect on the feel of the song. That and no one seems to get the drumming quite right on Becoming. They get close but always a little off. That and 13 Steps have the sickest drum intros
We all know that ola has chased dimes tone for years and I think he did a pretty damn good job at nailing that in. The drumming is so close to vinnies swinging careless but thoughtful grooves
You really do actually have the feel that everyone who ever tries to play dime stuff can't quantify in their playing. This is awesome. You would totally do him justice in a tribute/cover setting.
It's because everybody was incredible with their instrument. Dime and Vinnie are a given, but Rex's bass was fucking killer too. Add Phil's vocals on top of all that and this is really the greatest metal band ever.
That’s awesome you didn’t just pick “the hits,” you did some riffs that people might not be as familiar with who are casual Pantera fans! I love all those riffs, nice pick on suicide note pt. 2, that’s such a sick riff!! 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
I love you for throwing in slaughtered. I feel like that song is so under appreciated and to me is one of Pantera’s best songs. Also, your tone is so on point!
Slaughtered is a pretty well know song, but most people forget about the part they played and only focus on the main riffs. The double paradiddle groove with Dimebag's evil sounding syncopation is Dime and Vinnie Magic at it's finest.
@@supermastater I doubt it & its not plug & play! Ola has been chasing this tone probably since he started playing guitar from what ive seen & god only knows after im guessing extreme trial & error how he achieved it!
Or they have one off riffs that absolutely rip! Like in This Love and Great Southern Trendkill. Amazing riffs thrown in for such short amounts of time. This Love has a friggin sick riff that he plays for 4 measures and never touches again
Pantera is riff stack after riff stack. To play one Pantera riff thoroughly is to risk committing to the whole song. What we need is Pantera cover channel. BDBD is nearly my favorite Pantera song, but then again so is Regular People, and honestly every single track off the first 4 albums.
Mr Ola should be first on the list for PANTERAs reunion . I think he should be counted because of his love of the music. Hes got my vote. Keep On CHUGGING.
I know for a fact Dime would be so fricken stoked on this. Never hear someone nail the whole sound so well. Also your vibrato and harsh bends are exactly like Dime. Love it dude.

Dimebag broke new ground by also breaking the rules to further metal guitarists inventing the chud, the pop a note at will n use the whammy like no one else have done before. "Getcha Pull" . !!

If they had the guy who sang in the sign of the southern cross they would almost literally be pantera
Motördeth too bad that band isn’t still around I really liked them and the album they were gonna drop sounded like it was gonna be really good.
Your tone on "I'm Broken" and Delta's drumming on "Slaughtered" are insanely spot on, love this one!!
Piotr Gołacki maybe because of the bass but other than that

This is probably the closest tone I've ever heard to Dimes. Well done
I feel that Pantera was the pinnacle of Metal as a broad genre. It’s hard to describe, but they hit a sweet spot at the top of the curve.
I agree. Plus at that time they were the tightest band out there. Today it’s Gojira (which I love) and Meshuggah (which I don’t).
