Not seen golden wonder crisps for years, I think walkers bought them out, I remember when they came out in the sixties and the cheese and onion tasted just like onion on its own, smokey bacon and tomato ketchup were two other flavours, enjoy.
A belated Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you're having a lovely day! Golden Wonder was a favourite crisp brand of mine as a child in the 70's. That could have to do with having a plentiful supply from a neighbour who was a travelling sales rep for Golden Wonder. Yes, I remember the excitement of the new tomato sauce flavour!! And the smokey bacon. Yum. Have a good week. 😊
Golden Wonder back in the 60's to the 90's were one of the biggest crisp manufacturer's in the UK along with Smiths , they went out of business in the early 2000's but were brought back a couple of years ago and I like them very much , I think they were the first company to bring out Tomato flavour crisps back in the 70's and as for Walkers French fries they're very good on a barmcake ( bread roll ) , have a good week 🍟
Hi John! Really enjoyed the Golden Wonder, it's a shame we don't/haven't had it here during that time. One brand of chips we recall from the 70's and beyond was Granny Goose and Laura Scudder, Granny Goose acquired Laura Scudder in 1993, occasionally I'll still come across one of the blue Granny Goose chip/crisp bags in stores. That brand was an instant 'take me back' item, kids with their school lunches, etc. Love tomato flavour crisps - they have the perfect level of tanginess, the Walkers french fries were good too, maybe try in a crisp butty? :) Hope you're having a great Tuesday! :)
@@FinnLovesFood never come across those American brands over here and when I was a young kid still at school we used to be able to buy a local brand made in Preston called XL which were very tasty but they got bought out by a big conglomerate and disappeared off the face of the earth and yes I'm having a decent day , take care
Smoky bacon crisps and Han sandwich and saled. Whoster sauce and cheese sandwichs .it's heard sometime as we have someny great flaver in the UK .Take care and all the best . Thank you to Stephen and richerd for making this possible .😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍🐶

Hi Valerie, they had a very mild flavor. I think they'd go well with some tomato soup.
