*UPDATE* So, I was WRONG.... You CAN indeed remove the slide without pressing the trigger. Simply follow the standard takedown method and press it forward with a little force. The slide comes off without pulling the trigger, although it is easier once the trigger is pressed if you use that method 🤙🏼👍🏼
This is the best review I've seen on this gun. Arex should invite you to the factory for a tour. Thank you for your services. Keep up the great reviews.
Based on your review I purchased the Rex Delta and am very happy with it. I own a G19 gen4, a West German Sig P226, and a Walther P99. The Rex Delta trigger reset is as short as the Walther P99 which puts it in the awesome category, One thing I noticed with the Rex is how incredibly fast the dwell time is with the striker. The slide also seems to cycle very fast and the ejection pattern is consistant. The trigger take-up has some grit and can easily be fixed by polishing the sides of the firing pin safety. The grit is the fps plunging into the slide as the trigger bar “shark fin” engages it. My specimen’s polymer reliever had some flashing on the front-strap, and there was a little flashing on the trigger. I sanded these along with some of the corners with 1000 grit and made the ergos a little less raspy. It’s a great pistol, I noticed a Rockwell cone hardness divot on the inside top of the slide just forward of the ejection port. Arex attention to detail on these slides and barrels are as good as Walther. Like Walther Arex has a stress relief cut on inside top of the barrel lug. The locking block is forged and I didn’t see any cheap-ass MIM parts.
love mine, and I own 21 striker fire pistols. I bought it because Arex nailed the G19 demensions where no other manufactuer has been able to accomplish this. It's actually smaller than a G19, and I'm not noticing it being any snappier as the reviewer is suggesting. I'm carrying it presently, and it is a quality made pistol.
Cool review. I realy like the homegrown atmosphere of your channel. Its down to earth. I realy don't care what you do for a living, thats your business. I am just an Iraq Vet gun nut looking for good gun reviews. I looked threw your videos and didn't see any 1911 or revolver reviews. Looking forward to seeing those in the future. Take care.
Once again J nice review in depth as always I wouldn't buy this gun the review was very informative and I've got nothing but mad respect for you as a peace officer you seem like your a down to earth guy!!!
Very good review. This is exactly what i was looking for. I saw the rex delta at the gun show and i thought it was a good looking gun. So i wanted to know how it perform before getting one. Your thorough review helped me decide on my gun purchase. Thank you..
J Helmsing came on last year as just a down to earth humble guy and that hasn’t changed. Don’t like the police? Then don’t call em when you need em. Keep up the vids my man and thanks for your service.
My favorite was the Dallas sniper. During the police protest, when the sniper opened fire, every snowflake ran behind the cops for protection. Then they had the unmitigated gall to complain about the cops using a robot to kill him.
I believe there are good police departments and bad police departments. There are at least two problems with your recommendation, "If you don't like the police, don't call them." 1) Someone else calls the police and I can't opt out of their services. 2) Even if I wanted to opt out of police services, like every other aspect of government, I'm forced to pay for police services.
Wow!! By the way, "Back The Blue". One of the best reviews I have seen. I now include you as one of my "Go To Guys" (including Tim of Military Arms Channel and Mike of MrGunsnGear) . I really like your channel. You do very in-depth reviews. I own rifles and shotguns but have never owned a pistol. I have done a lot of research on compact carry guns and decided to go with the Arex Delta. It was between the Delta and Smith and Wesson m&p M2.0. After a lot of reviews it was pretty much unanimous that the Delta can be put through the ringer and come out asking for more. Everyone said it was extremely reliable. Because of that I went with the Delta. Did I make a good choice for my first pistol ?
Very good review. I caught the breakdown error but not a real issue. Really covered the pros and cons. Some of the popular RUclips channel reviewers never saw a firearm they don't just absolutely love, which doesn't really help.

Thanks for the review, I have two of these also and was curious on how to remove the extractor in order to clean the safety plunger or even if I had to replace the extractor? I can’t figure it out. Thanks again!
Great, extensive review. The only downside of the Delta is that slide won't close on a mag slam. What was the holster/light combination you showed? Looked like it fit the Delta nicely.
Nice review on the gun. Can that striker indicator be used with your thumb over it to keep the trigger from getting back far enough to fire the gun? Could you use it the same way as thumb over the hammer on a double single action pistol while holstering it?
Haven’t seen you in a while. Thanks for the video as always you do great reviews. I don’t hate cops I wouldn’t want there job at all, I think the reason is people think cops should be held to a certain standard being that they are to serve and protect and that’s not the case anymore. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
So, could you check if it fits a holster like the Safariland 6354 and the 6390 ALS holsters? Thinking on buying the Gen 2 and wanted to use these holsters.
Awesome review of this little pistol. I appreciate the in-depth look! I purchased one last night after watching this review. It looks very good, and like the ideal pistol for appendix carry. The striker indicator with the feedback function is nice, and also the longer initial pull with the sweet follow up reset. I think Arex is calling it the SDA trigger (striker double action) I might have to try this as a carry option in addition to my P-01, I love when companies think things out, and execute well. Also the forward firing pin block is welcomed, it looks like a good offering for sure. Thanks again.
