  • The Nissan Qashqai is three model years into its role in the Canadian crossover universe. Initially launched in Canada for 2017, it takes a spot alongside the popular Nissan Rogue - itself slightly larger and more powerful-as a little brother of sorts.
For 2020, the Qashqai’s been refreshed with a new hood, bumper, grille, and lighting to give the front end a more serious and meaningful presence on the road. And if you’re after the latest safety tech, all of it, you’ll find it here. Ditto one of the most advanced parking assists on the scene, a Bose sound system, full smartphone connectivity, and more.
On dynamics, the Qashqai is a mixed bag. Most should find the Qashqai delivers a relatively more comfortable ride than expected, but really, the easy-to-use connectivity, safety, and parking tech are its most valuable assets. Consider the Qashqai one more for its features and gadgets, rather than for the way it feels in motion.

2019/20 Qashqai does NOT have CVT gearbox. It has 7-speed DCT autobox with new 1.3 engine.
Old 1.2 engine had CVT. Update; Non-CVT applies to Europe NOT Canada/Australia.

it's more of a European design style because the original Qashqai's were designed and manufactured in UK. the ones in Canada and US are assembled in Kyushu Japan. in the US they call it Rogue Sport. only the Canadian market gets the manual transmission making it one of the only manual SUV's out there.

What size tires are on the Nissan Quasai? Can the steering wheel be pulled to come closer to the driver and also adjusts height? Didn't see any back seat space nor truck size. May I please see video or pictures of those? Merci! :)

Fun fact: CVTs don’t shift, they don’t have gears at all. Nissan just has their CVTs simulate gear shifts to be more familiar to drivers.

Unfortunately, with the 2022 coming in the next few months (early 2021), this review seems a bit late to the show.

Japanese cars are ugly, never exciting or pretty, but practical and reliable, I so hope they will for once design elegant cars instead of Pokémon Anime vehicles
