After test driving the new 2022 Qashqai last week I ordered mine straight away. In this colour too, in person it’s stunning and looks nice and large too. Nice light doors that open a lot wider, the perfect car
I had the 19” alloy version for a week last year. After adjusting the tyre pressure to the recommend psi, it drove very comfortably. Having overinflated tyres makes the drive horrible. From what I gather, people like to knock the Qashqai because it’s popular. I can only go on my week with the car, but it’s clearly popular for a reason…personally thought it was brilliant and I have rented nearly every car make.
I feel I'm a bit late to the Qashqai party, but I am considering the new one and your clear and concise review; has been very helpful in helping me decide. My C-Class Mercedes Estate; didn't have half the specification, the top of the range Qashqai has, unless I wanted to pay through the nose for upgrade packs. So, I think your review, has helped me make my mind up. The new Qashqai looks twice the car for half the price. It's a no-brainer. Thank you.
I am happy you opened your own non nonsense review channel!!! The opposite of Mat Watson Which I hate pure nonsense and childish!! Keep up your good work it’s pleasure to watch it 😀👍👏🏻
Thank you for the great review. I tested this model and the previous one. I found the suspension bouncy on both. I didn't find the cars comfortable. But it may be an individual experience. Did you or anyone experience the same?
Test drove two, and both had the rubber mat section where you put your phone loose. As in it had come out of place, and wouldn't fit back, also the fuel port cover wasn't flush with the body, it was noticeably at an angle.
Being too good for buyers perhaps attracts different new buyers to the range. I am actively looking at one of these as I will be getting rid of my F Pace due to insurance hikes. The Techna level has all the goodies I will need to be happy.
Great review Batch. SUVs are slowly growing on me and this is a big step up from the previous generation car. I am sure it will sell in big numbers. But for the time being I am very happy with my Skoda superb estate. It’s more practical, just as classy as the 1.5 tsi is frugal and punchy enough for my needs.🙂
Nice review James. As an enthusiast, I don't really like this SUV trend. I'd rather walk than drive a 3008 and the sight of a T-Roc makes me groan! 😅 Always like the take away your Qas-qai though! I don't know why but wouldn't mind driving or owning one at all! This new generation looks like a massive step up in interior quality and general driving so another winner I'd say! 😊
Sorry to say, but ppl buy point A to B cars bcos they are relatively cheap. If the price is right it will not only draw in the new crowd but also the A to B buyers. In fact, it will be considered a bonus for A/B buyers if the car looks good as well as cost low.
It's certainly nicer looking on the outside than for example the new Kia EV6 which everybody and their dog wants. The only problem is does it feel like maybe they made a mistake not building it from the ground up from day one as an EV and only an EV? Or have they actually been smart and built the last petrol car you'll ever need? As for the 20" wheels, I'm really wary of them, for the size of it the suspension has to be hard, so the last thing you want is wafer thin tyre profiles. The question I've never seen answered is this: 2wd or 4wd.
All of a sudden, the old Qashqai is a horrendous car. A little exaggerated remarks on the previous model. And that thing of 50% of Qashqai owners are dumb... well. But, apart from this, great review
It was between the i want to say ink grey But I knew i’d personally regret to as nearly ever car I’ve owned has been grey/Silver. So I went for white. What a beautiful car it looks nice and sleek A pleasure to drive from a smaller car 👍🏻 Best decision I’ve made. Ceramic Grey 👍🏻 ty

A lot of info about the stuff we can already see and very little “almost none “ about the safety tech you get with the car which is why I watch car reviews!! Learnt nothing about the car.

Had mine for over a week now and the drive is just incredible. I had an MG HS before and it's streets ahead of it. The Qashqai is a really great car.

Was just wondering what you're doing these days, great to see you're independent. Have you reviewed the new Golf yet?
As always great review well explained, this new model is a huge improvement .

Pls contact me if you are around cpt for a test drive of the new one.
Good review but could you please include the miles per gallon that you actually got while driving. Not the manufacturers figures.
Hiya Batch, I test drove the Tekna + yesterday and loved it. Especially the HUD which I thought was sensational. Overall I was very impressed.

I might consider this when my Volvo XC40 lease expires, so if they're trying to go upmarket they've got my attention.
Thanks for reviewing the auto version, most testers don't. I can't wait to test drive it. I also love that colour, what do they call it?
Thanks Alan. It’s called Ceramic Grey

Looking forward to it being released in Australia.
With the new UK trade deal it may get cheaper in Australia.
