Man you got a lot of this wrong. For the Back button I set it up to swipe from the end of right side screen to the left... Left end of the screen swiping right I set that up to take screen shots. The indicator of the side menu you can change the transparency all the way to zero so you can't see it. The action button was taken from the remappable Bixby button from generations ago of Samsung phones. I can set that power button to do more than two actions. We can tap the back of the phones twice to open any app you set of that action, tap the back 3 times you and the same. You have the choice to set this up like mine and more. This is why android is so popular because of the deep customizations of functions that you can do. There are tons of tips videos on this phone and you should educate yourself on what this phone does.
FYI I'm a UX designer, I design on a Mac so I can definitely understand the bias. mobile design and development revolves around IOS.

Thanks for the feedback, but just touching on some of your points, yes I do understand that you can adjust how you use the navigation bar; I was simply discussing how the default option was a confusing choice because it was not ideal for the size of the phone. The side menu of course can be removed set to transparent, but that doesn’t take away from how inelegant the default option is. Perhaps they could have changed it to a diagonal swipe from a corner or mapped to a button. The action button of course may be inspired by the bixby button, but there are hundreds of phones in the past that have also had an additional ‘action’ button, so it’s disingenuous to say that it was inspired by Samsung, especially when it was a feature that was dropped. Of course you can map the side button to have multiple options; and it is even more customisable with good lock, but while that helps, it doesn’t replace the utility of having an additional button. The back tap feature is also unreliable at best (it’s just as poor on iPhone), so I don’t expect many to rely on it and yes, of course people love Android for how customisable it is, however with this implementation at least, I prefer other Android UIs that I’ve used in the past.

Also the reason for the samsung app store is for exclusive apps like good lock

They could also just upload them to the play store like BlackBerry did with their Android apps

I've pretty much owned Samsung notes all the way from the note 3 and the 24 ultra I think is the best version of the note they have put out personally. I cannot find one thing that I dislike about the phone, it doesn't get hot (I live in Las Vegas) and outdoor usage is perfect. The vapor chamber that they built into the phone is great for people that are pushing the boundaries with the phone and/or lives in extremely hot climates

One of the coolest things about it the national geographic NFC flipsuit case that changed the video lock screen AOD. Also as an owner of the s23 Ultra the s pen is phenomenal for remote gestures, remote camera controls from a distance, navigation and texting when your fingers get tired etc
I used to be an apple sheep then Samsung Knight. Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Red Magic, Honor Magic, Google, One Plus changed my life in the android world in 2019. There's no comparison. Also thinking that Samsung took ideas is crazy and misinformed when Apple took , USB C , Programmable side key, RUclips pop up view , 5x zoom , Always on display from Samsung. Samsung and Android was one of the best things that happened to apple. Competition is a necessity. Also foldables took smartphones to another level

Yes, that. NFC case thing is a very cool feature indeed! And honestly, I’m not really that into Apple, I’ve just sort of fallen into it. I started with windows mobile, then moved to webOS, then BlackBerry 10, (MeeGo for a bit), then windows phone before falling on iOS. And in my view, both iOS and Android have copied immensely from webOS 😁

Compare iPhone with this masterpiece especially in terms of performance.

While we can look at benchmarks where one will do slightly better than the other, in reality, both phones are faster than one could ever need

i love the design of the S24 Ultra, i have a phone case that makes my iPhone rectangular which i really like but i can see why it would be uncomfortable on a nearly 7 inch phone. Your review was great and balanced. I do think the camera on the 15 series is better than on the S24, I love the audio quality from the iPhone speakers too so that's another reason why i stay with iPhone for my touchscreen device. I'm still using a BlackBerry KeyOne as my android device and it has the curved edge display which works really well for the side swiping of apps. The duplicate apps is definitely unnecessary and i'm really surprised the navigation is not gesture based yet.

@@DavisFangTech You're welcome, i enjoy watching your reviews. It was nice seeing how the iPhone sat with that case on it, it really matches the titanium colour, maybe they can make one for the S24 to stop it wobbling when on the flat surfaces :D

Uh you can choose to do gestures and swipes but many people prefer the standard android navigation like back button on the bottom with app and home button which is alot more convenient
