I am a Muslim. It was 2012 when i visited my friend christian family's home in Bogor, Indonesia, during my business trip near the city. I spent the night and decided to sleep in their home. They had a room for their guests.
That next day, by the way, was gonna be the first day of Ramadhan. And i thought i would just skip my sahoor meal.
But to my surprise, my friend's mom literally woke up in the middle of the night, fight her drowsiness and cooked some food just for me at 2 AM, brought the food to my room and woke me up to make sure that i had my sahoor.
I will never forget this beautiful moment.
is it because they are all self-important -all of them
My next door neighbors are Muslim. They're good neighbors. When it's Ramadan, I don't cook pork. As a Christian, I know what a fast means to me, and I respect their faith as I do my own. God bless us all.

I have always heard negative things about Muslims but my parents raised me to love and accept everyone as much as we can, no matter who they are. When I went to university I made many Muslim friends, and I learned so much from them. I want to apologize to all Muslims for anything any of my fellow Christians have done to hurt you or to persecute you. We are not all like that. Whether you are Muslim or Christian or Buddhist or Hindu or even if you have no belief at all, you are all welcome in my house. Let's sit together, eat together, talk, learn more about each other, exchange stories. I love you all, no matter who you are, no matter where you are from.

I'm muslim and my late grandma is Chatolic,years a ago I even ever stayed with her when I was a student. It's not a big deal when there was a cross in the house or sometimes she prayed with her priest and others at home while I was in my room. Even sometimes I read bibble...
I even having many Christian friends, Buddhist or Hindus..yes we are same..So basically world need kind of this explanation as Bob said. We need love and knowing someone well before judge them. Spread love not hatred..

I'm Muslim and I have constant contact with people from other religions because of the nature of my work, and even when I travel for holidays.. 🙂 Many of them get surprised when they learn about real Islam and not the propaganda of the media about it.

I am Muslim and as a very young kid I was thought to love and respect my neighbors, this teaching made no distinction to whom my neighbors were. Over the years I’ve also learned that as a Muslim we should never disrespect or discredit other religions. These are the same messages you speak of that your religion teaches you as you’ve mentioned. It’s very interesting hearing you speak, thank you for spreading a good message.

I love this, I live in east Texas myself, in Tyler to be more specific. I have Christian friends and jew friends, atheists & what I learned is they all r just a human being and they respect my religious beliefs and I respect theirs. Every Ramadan they come over I go to their thanksgiving and we live in such a lovely harmony to where we don't see the others religion or cultural background. I always have this memory of few years back. I was on my way back home from work late at night, it was raining that day and I was not particularly in a good mood having to walk home.
There were a bunch of Christian preachers younger group in their early 20's and as I walked by them one of the girl was watching me and so she stopped me and asked if I believed in Jesus. I brushed her off saying yea ye I do as a prophet and walked passed her. I just wish I had spoken to her and shared our Islamic perspective of Jesus and hear her end as well. I don't know why but I regret not being respectful and talking to her even if it was for few mins. It's really important for us to share our faith with one another to better understand and respect one another.

I'm a Christian and have many Muslim friends. They are the kindest most generous people. During the entire month of Ramadan my neighbour brought me a meal every night at sundown. The day of Eid I had 3 different Muslim neighbours bring me pastries and other treats. Everyone should learn about Islam and other religions from valid sources. Verify the source because there is a lot of misinformation out there. How many people say they hate another religion when they have never met anyone. When my daughter was in grade school she told a friend of hers that my paternal grandmother was Jewish. The little girl answered her, I hate Jews. She had never met any up to that point. We hate and teach our children to hate. Thank you so much for your words. We need more people like you in this world. God bless you.
