Very informative man. You make the Type-S platform look like a lot of fun. Currently run a Stinger GT and I was surprised to see all the aftermarket support it got. Seems like Type-S is going to get way more love sooner than later consider how big the Honda community is.
Yeah man I hope you are right. Historically the Honda community gets plenty of support. Maybe some of the bigger companies see my videos and sparks their motivation. The stinger gt is an awesome car and amazing how quick you can make them fairly easy. Thanks for watching

I just bought my Type S on wednesday, excited to work on it, i seee some crazy nice numbers from 0-60, can drop to 4.26 seconds without a tune!
Unfortunately my model is 2023 and i have been told that no tuning support is out for those yet, but might be doing a DP and Drop in filter soon

Most likely not much until there’s tuning capabilities at this point. Really want to try a ethanol blend just not sure the oem can compensate for all that so might have to wait for k tuner/flex fuel kit
P2R also has CNC ported intake manifold too...they say it will fit my MDX Type S...very excited about it...would love to do larger FMIC and piping, downpipe and Exhaust, along with throttle body and intake manifold
Yea, I have the intake manifold installed as well along with everything you mentioned besides the exhaust

This is major. Honda engineers haven’t publicly begun to tweak their newest turbo toy. Look how many applications the 3.5 six cylinder is in tuned, detuned etc. I would worry too much about warranty stuff. I started buying Acura in 2006 when looking for a nice SUV for the wife. 5 Acura’s later….zero problems. The sweet spot for the 4 MDXs I’ve had is 90mph.
These engines will be having huge gains 💯

This will not add Hp, but it will help with response. Also whenever i do my TB'S i ask to do TB shaft machining, it will cut another 2mm-3mm. My suggestion to you would be bigger pipping for intake.

@@BCautosolutions man I can't believe how fast this car is after those three mods. You should make a video a tutorial on how to take the downpipe off. And then on another video you should also make a video showing how big the turbo is and how it compares to the CTR. I know everybody swapped the a spec turbo. I'm just wondering if that this is a bigger or smaller turbo.
@@kongxiong6005 turbo is similar size to fk8 although tlx is twin scroll but I have a feeling new type r will be as well. When I remove my downpipe for whatever reason or install one on someone’s car I will 💯 make a video
It was very nice to see your mods, I wonder if you are planning to upgrade your car's front pipe.
Both cats were deleted essentially the downpipe and front pipe. All that’s left is the oem exhaust which starts right at the front subframe if that’s what you mean. I have plans for something on the exhaust just not sure exactly how/when I’m gonna execute it.
My flash tune + downpipe Giulia runs 12.9 and 4.3 0-60….so this is great to see you close with just bolt ons no tune! However you’re a V6 vs my 4cyl turbo

@@BCautosolutions thanks man and i really love your car. I watch all the type S videos that i can. We have some of if not the only best looking sport sedans in the market right now. Everyone else sacrifices style and luxury for outright speeed/power. I’m curious to see how the type s does in a track day environment. The Giulia is a monster on track

Nice, but the coolant bypass I don’t get that my bmw b58 has coolant running through the intake manifold maybe it’s the same thing just less complicated and won’t fail
Yeah any coolant running through tb/intake I would eliminate, most these cars arleady suffer from heat soaking, shit like this only makes it worse. Thanks for watching dude 👍🏻
I'm just trying to take in the new J engine. seeing the housing for the dual cams... i dont recognize this v6 honda! ill keep my 2014 6 6 coupe accord and save for one of these

pretty cool stuff you re doing to this car and I appreciate the content but I wouldn't recommend doing that coolant re routing (Honda tech to Honda tech). I just recently purchased 1 of these for my son and yes they are disappointing power wise. I'm waiting for ktuner to come out with a flash, these feel like they will be able to produce a lot of power with just a tune. His previous car was a fbo prl ctr with ktuner prl base tune, it would run circles around this car (it did when we traded it in, we ran it on the fwy) but its apples to oranges and not fair. Personally I wouldn't do any of these mods until there are tunes out for them unless you are sufficient at tuning it yourself or have help tuning the vehicle.
Appreciate the insight and opinion. Ctr is one of my personal favorite cars and had I not secured one of these cars, would have been my second option. Congrats to your son
@@BCautosolutions Thanks man, where I'm at, we are Honda and am fortunate enough to have our Acura store next door so we can brainstorm issues with both brands. They are similar and different in many ways. Anyways I think the choking point in this motor will be the turbo. the motor is overkill for the turbo....the car aside from just power is astonishing. keep doing what you're doing, i'd like to see where this platform leads.
@@supemebart4461 i agree, comes with a td04 (same family size turbo can be found in type R) which is a whole liter smaller in displacement, so I agree I think a td05 could have been more suitable. It would have been more sluggish down low but would have kept pulling up top. Anyways stay tuned, plenty of updates coming.

Minimal gain. We need to figure out ways to drop its weight. Then again, I don't think a 3.0 turbo has much to offer. They should use the EarthDreams J35 engine from the Gen9 Accords and then twin charge it.
The recipe is there just need tuning to be h locked to really move forward

Engine is solid for sure but I think it should have been a little bit more powerful from factory.

Possibly but the opening of the manifold would have to get port matched
I just got my type s last month but how do I remote start with the lights on so I know it's running. 🤔 if you can help let me know no RUclips videos on that yet. 😆
Your remote blinks green to tell you it’s on. Red means it isn’t
You have to see the lights blinking and also as mentioned your remote confirms it as well. Won’t turn on headlight I’m assuming not to blind people lol

The car actually has a custom downpipe and the throttle body was added for this video but yes 12s are right there 👍🏻

Yes that’s deff a possibility although I did multiple runs 20-30 degree difference and it stays pretty consistent within .1 now with all mods. I’m on 93
@@BCautosolutions Would be interesting to log with ktuner/hondata to see if it is pulling any timing on stock tune.
@@Zharsergey I’ve thought about buying k tuner just to log. I would like to think/hope they will offer tuning for this eventually. But yes data is key, more people need to realize that, but from talking to someone that has been data logging his, the stock map is garbage and there is tons or room for improvement.

i think he had his custom fabricated, ive looked around and havent found anything

yes at this point nobody is mass producing them. prl motorsports should be working on something as we speak, in the meantime you would have to get something fabricated like i did.
