Thank goodness no one was hurt by that falling branch. Trees have a life cycle too. Sometimes they just need to be replaced. Love the trellis. Just beautiful. It's going to look great as the clematis gets bigger. Keep up the great work.🌸🌷❤🌵
Laura, you could use bundt cake pan, with a hole in the middle. Put holes in the bottom, plant yr plants, put it in the middle of yr table, put yr flag down the middle ! Keep up the great work, all three of you!
Hi Laura, I love your videos. I learn so much. Thank you. I just bought two of my very first white Henryi clematis a few weeks ago. They were about to be put in the trash at the nursery. I saw them and said I think I can bring those back to life. Poor dears had death all over them. I didn’t cut the dead off. I know some grow on old wood but this was dry dead wood...so I thought. I went out three days ago and found my first bloom. I was so excited. I put them next to each other in two different large pots. Fingers crossed they both survive. So far one has one beautiful open bloom and two more new buds. My second one is still struggling. I was not successful with 4 bare roots, City of Lyon and HF Young ones this spring. Knowing these are trying to live brings so much joy. I’m in a zone 7 and I alway look now before I try a new plant...I ask myself, will this survive my zone 7, 100+ degree heat.😁. Thanks again for such enjoyable, informative videos.
Wow on the tree branch coming down. Glad little Benjamin wasn't outside when that happened. Always inspirational to see your designs. Love love love the new trellis' and the clematis selection. I've been looking for one that grows that large and now i've found it. Can't wait till spring to get my new bed with my super big trellis arranged. Thank you for all you do.
Beautiful.. I love all of your little vignettes of sitting areas, they are beautiful! However, you never sit down! You have the most energy of any person I’ve ever seen anywhere! What an amazing person you are to watch.. I don’t have much of a garden yet because I just moved into my home and there is no irrigation or viable soil right now. I keep myself happy with pots of assorted plants. I really enjoy watching all of your ideas and how you think things out in your areas. Thanks for filming!!!
Hi Laura and Aaron! I'm so glad no one was near that branch when it came down and that it didn't damage anything. I agree, remove all damaged/diseased trees. No one's life is worth leaving them. I am glad that it was captured on video so the "haters" see your reasoning for removing trees, not that it really is any of their business, it is your property. I love those trellis' on that wall and the clematis will be so pretty next year. Thank you for sharing!
Trellises are such beautiful things to have in a garden (I think every garden should have one!!). I'm glad you kept the footage in and showed everyone how branches can just break. Glad nobody was hurt!
Hey Laura! I was just lying in bed, contemplating relocating my Jackmanii clematis from my front garden, to a sunnier location in my back garden, So, your timing is divine. Thank God you were not near that large branch that came down! Thanks for all your awesome videos.
That turned out really nicely! I had noticed the pinkish pavers in another recent video and boy, are those plants going to just bring it all together in bloom. Love the trellises you chose as well! Perfect for your space. Such a restful looking place.
Hello Laura, The last shot of the completed section of your garden is very beautiful. What I love about your garden ( not only the lovely structure and plants you use ) is the strategic places you put your outdoor seating. I used to think you had to get the same type of furniture, but I was wrong. You have difference types of outdoor settings in well placed sections of your garden and they are all different. This seem to add more interest by doing it this way. Anyway, I love it. Best wishes to you and your family. Love from Australia.
The 3 trellises look like they were made to go there in that spot. I look forward to seeing them next year with the vines and flowers. Thank goodness, no one was under that tree branch as it gave way! Yes, it is time to remove any tree in doubt....safety first. There should be no "haters" as you plant many trees. Thank you for the knowledge you give us along with enjoying the zen from your garden.
That trellis is way beyond beautiful, I hope it does not get completely covered, it is so magnificent against the white background & ties in so well with the black shutters. Superb choice.
So pretty! I truly believe in your motto of "I'd rather have nothing in a space than to put something there I don't love"... you wait and live with areas until you find that perfect plant, piece of statuary or other object... even if it takes 3 years 😊
Well I am loving this! I have a blue Clematis that grows on a trellis and I love the blooms so unique. Love the 9’ trellises and always love it when you find that perfect “thing” that completes the area!
This is going to be gorgeous. What a wonderful spot to shoot some Q&A videos and just sit and have a glass of Iced Tea or A Cup of coffee, once it is in full bloom. I Love it!
The Trellises were a beautiful addition!! Sometimes it’s best to wait for the perfect inspiration rather than putting something up that you don’t like!
Beautiful trellis and stunning plants once again !! ... I’m watching through headphones and the sound of that branch coming down was gut wrenching !! Totally not worth the risk around little ones !! Your totally right !! Get that tree out ... love your videos 😀
That is really pretty Laura just the perfect addition for that spot. So sorry Aaron is putting away wood for 2021 winter though I'm sure he's really busy. Love to you guys from Minnesota.
This is PERFECT. I was JUST trying to figure out what to do with a huge empty space after removing old shutters. I decided that a trellis and clematis would be ideal, but wasn’t sure about the logistics. The timing is 👌🏻
I'm relieved that know one was hurt when the tree branch fell, that was scary! The trellises are perfect in that spot, it'll be nice to see the progress. Thank you for sharing another great video. GOD bless you.
I've always heard groups of three whether you're talking about garden design or interior home design, it always looks better. I'm not big on vine plants/flowers but I do love the look of the trellis in that space.....bare. Thanks for sharing!!
I can’t believe that tree fell while you were filming! It sounded like fireworks. I’m hoping to see what you do with the branch! Love the trellis and clematis 😃
I adore the trellis. We have a vast brick wall at the front of our house facing the street with only a small window on the right hand side. It's an eyesore. A trellis may do the trick in my yard also.
I saw the post on Instagram about the tree branch coming down. Wowza!! Love the trellises and clematis. I also love the discoveries you make while planting i.e. the stepping stone. It makes your videos more personal.
Well you both have done it again...excitement, intrigue, and love. The spot you just featured is now my favorite place in the garden. And I’m like you, tress have got to go when we know they are dangerous. Praise God no one was hurt. I even worried about the cats!!! Lol. Thanks for my morning movie fix. 💕💕💕
In 2019 when this video was released I wanted to buy these trellises so badly! Now in 2021 I got three and just hung them up like you did here and you're right, they're spectacularly beautiful all by themselves!
Awesome trellis' I love how tall they are and fill that space perfectly, they also go with your color scheme with the black and white, I can't wait to see the clematis when it's in bloom and fills those trellis' up, should be stunning, Thanks for sharing, I really love the look.
Your right, absolutely gorgeous!! I spied it in your hollyhocks trim video, so I was thrilled this morning when I saw this upload. Thx so much for sharing.
🤩 perfect design for that area! So elegant! I'd walk by it allot more just to look at it haha. Get that tree out and while you're at it those oak leaf ones also. I hate those. 😁 Glad everyone is ok!
So very beautiful. I love the trellises and your right, they look lovely just by themselves and they will look beautiful with the clematis. Judy from Wisconsin
I just got one of these and didn’t even notice til I was trying to find the type of trellis it was that it was the same one you have! I watch every day and when I saw this old video come up I was so excited to know I have the same one!
So glad you and the family were not under that tree limb when it came down. That could have been a disaster. I do understand. Just this morning the dog and I went down to the chicken coop and took care of the girls then carried the food over to the rooster enclosure. When I came back to the girls' coop, there lay a 20 foot long branch as big around as my calves right in front of the coop. YIKES! Our tree needs to come down too, but... Glad you left that part in the video. Some folks need a look-see to understand. Great video and right on time for me.
To sarahburdify I'm in the twin cities and had three japanese maples in the ground for four years, just lost them to the polar vortex last winter. If you want to try, find a spot that is sheltered from the north winds. The area I planted mine was blocked on the north by my house, the east by a shed and the west by my neighbors wooden fence. I have planted an Emperor 1 in the same area. Another one to look for is the Bloodgood. This late in the season you may not find either but try Bachmans next spring if you live near the cities.
I, too, live in Minneapolis. I've never even hoped to grow Japanese maples. My friend has had success, but she lives on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. I don't think last winter helped. I lost so many trees and shrubs.
Love 💕 love 💕 love 💕 that clematis!!! I need to find space in my garden for one of those!!! I’m so glad no one was around when that branch fell! How frightening for you! 😲
Love the trellises! That patio area is absolutely perfect now. We have a 60 foot Cottonwood that needs to come out, too. Thank you for another great video!
Hi Laura! I bought the exact same trellis (3 also) and have been "walking" them around the yard deciding the best place for them. You have found the perfect location and plant. I was wondering when to buy and purchase clematis and glad I can still do it in August. Absolutely love your channel and have learned so much. Your energy is amazing!! Thanks for all.
Love the trellis!!! And the "X" pattern matches the other "X"es throughout the property!!! Sure hate that tree limb fell ~ that tree is such an anchor in that area.... Thankful no one was hurt!!!
Really great trellis. I would make sure those top pieces are really secured so they do not topple over from wind storms or heavy vines. We had one we thought was secure but it came down. Thank goodness no one was out there at the time. Your property just keeps getting better and better.

Wow. Scary that branch falling like that with no storm or wind! Those trellises are gorgeous. Can't wait to see the clematis in a couple years.

Hola mi querida Laura!!! Clematis la enredadera más hermosa! Un Placer Saludarte!!!
Omgosh very fortunate no one was near that tree! That tree would be leaving the wall looks very nice!
Oh, wow! I am glad that the tree didn't fall on the house or any other building, car or you guys. Praise God, everything is well! Take that out!
The 3 trellises look like they were made to go there in that spot. I look forward to seeing them next year with the vines and flowers. Fantastic idea. I am a big believer in having more hardscape ideas, instead of solving all gardening problems with a plant/bush. Thanks.
same here, i like a strong hardscape. good winter intrest too.
Yes get that tree out. You've planted many more new healthy trees on your property :)
So pretty! I truly believe in your motto of "I'd rather have nothing in a space than to put something there I don't love"... you wait and live with areas until you find that perfect plant, piece of statuary or other object... even if it takes 3 years 😊
The Trellises just EVEN WITHOUT THE CLEMATIS ARE ALREADY SO BEAUTIFUL!
This year your garden is starting to look so much more full and mature! I love it!
Glad no one was harmed by the falling tree limb...scary. Beautiful idea with the trellis and clematis!
That opening 😲 yall were so calm, I would have been freaking out! Glad it didnt damage anything.
Wow it’s going to look gorgeous when it’s full grown, looks beautiful already!
I'd be getting that tree out asap!
Well I am loving this! I have a blue Clematis that grows on a trellis and I love the blooms so unique. Love the 9’ trellises and always love it when you find that perfect “thing” that completes the area!

This is PERFECT. I was JUST trying to figure out what to do with a huge empty space after removing old shutters. I decided that a trellis and clematis would be ideal, but wasn’t sure about the logistics. The timing is 👌🏻
I ordered three of these trellis, I have a wall just like this. Perfect solution, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I really love this look.
Wow that was dramatic start to the video Glad Everyone was safe Beautiful Clematis and trellis
Beautiful trellises....I just ordered 3. I'm curious if "cans" is a geographical thing. I've never heard of nursery pots being called cans.
Thank you for my morning video with my cup of tea. Good job wearing gloves. Lynnwood Wa.
It's perfect there! Softens that area and gives it nice visual interest! Trellises are my fave in the garden ♡
It took me a minute to figure out where this blank wall is. But then I saw the sun porch and figured it out. Absolutely stunning. Well done.
I'm relieved that know one was hurt when the tree branch fell, that was scary! The trellises are perfect in that spot, it'll be nice to see the progress. Thank you for sharing another great video.

Never feel bad about moving or removing trees or shrubs on your property. Trellises are beautiful. I have the perfect place for some of these!
Panacea has stepped up lately. in the past, I recalled them being crappy. These look super nice. Good choice for this application.

Or odd numbers anyway. Three, five, seven. Our eyes have a tendency to divide/split even numbers.
That's what I was taught.
It made such a big difference. Love the look it got! I really enjoy your channel.
Wow,glad nobody or building was hurt. Love the wall idea
Love that trellis! Have been looking for something in a space I have. This will be perfect! Glad no one was hurt by that tree

Please get that tree out, oh my goodness!! So glad everyone is safe! Crazy you practically caught it on film.
I adore the trellis. We have a vast brick wall at the front of our house facing the street with only a small window on the right hand side. It's an eyesore. A trellis may do the trick in my yard also.
I noticed the trellis set in yesterday’s video and thought how really awesome they looked. Perfection.
What a statement peice it looks fantastic! And the succulents are doing amazing
love the trellis trio - completes your outdoor room perfectly...what a great find.
Those trellis are so perfect even without the clematis, they will be gorgeous against the white of your house when they bloom next year.

Gorgeous! For a final touch, it would be nice to have the brown chairs spray painted a dark grey. The brown kind of sticks out like a sore thumb.
That’s going to be so gorgeous when it’s full and in bloom❤️
Ooh that looks really awesome Laura. Now you make me want one. Lol it really looks great on that wall.
Fantastic choice! Looks beautiful.
So glad that tree branch fell without Benjamin outside. Good Bye tree!
Glad there was no one by the tree. Also the trellis looks great it's going to look beautiful when it fills up.
Love 💕 love 💕 love 💕 that clematis!!! I need to find space in my garden for one of those!!!

Trellises, gigantic and gorgeous, enjoy.
Gorgeous work! I love to create landscape designs that incorporate trellis whenever it makes sense. Love the channel and your ideas! Great work!!!
