I do not want to read news anymore. Most news bring sadness and anxiety to me. But, I feel happy and satisfied every time I meet Laura and family on RUclips. It is like spending time with a good friend and her family and going home with something new in my head, and something warm in my heart.

That is how you want a cut flower garden to look - all those beautiful tulips and so much color. Glorious. I think that clematis looks so great there, can't wait to see it in full bloom and I love the look of that obelisk. I keep noticing how beautiful the house looks now that it has been painted - it is only seeing the before and after that you really see the difference. I'm so happy this worked out! I also think planting anything Spring and delicate in compost gets the best results. My sister let's me have some of her compost soil. The rows look stunning like in Europe. I do like them natural in the landscape, but this is really great!
You're also creating the best memories for your daughter.

Hi Laura, I’ve been watching your channel for years and told all my friends and strangers as well. Interesting to see how your taste for garden design has changed 360 degree. Bright colors, rocks, ponds, etc. many of which you didn’t care for and now it’s all there 😊. It’s what that large space needed. Look forward to other things you didn’t like but will eventually be incorporated into your garden. Love your channel and family. Keep up the work.

This weather in 5b this year is such a gift. We are so ahead schedule on our tasks (which is a spreadsheet literally) and the flowers are ahead of schedule too. Foxglove and tulips at the same time. Our Veronica's have their stalks and about to burst. Weird, but I'll take it. This will make May (for us in 5b) not so overwelming. Thanks mother nature!
Lastly, squirrels ate 150 tulips over winter just in one bed. So, I will be converting to to just all different varieties of daffodils. Squirrels didn't touch one.

Regarding the connection of the 1900s & 1980s sections of your home...you might get inspired by Brent Hull's YT channel. He is a master craftsman/architect from TX that does a weekly series on visually "fixing" the exterior facade of different homes styles. His focus is on preservation of architectural accuracy and "balance" in the proportions of exterior design elements, so the result tells a unified and understandable "narrative." He is also the owner of a period-authentic architectural millwork and window restorations company and is an industry expert in the history of interior wood trim. May give you some ideas on how to unify your home when you move forward with renovation plans. 🙂

Those variegated tulips over in the Persephoney garden, I have to say are my favorite. And the large variety, those blooms are huge. Wow. Beautifully done. It's just magical watching you miss Laura getting after your projects. You definitely are an inspiration to all of us out here. Maybe some day we can plant here in eastern Idaho. I came to your parents garden center there at Andrews 2 weeks ago and I have had to keep my beautiful flowers still in the garage because yesterday it got to 18 degrees with wind-chill. 😤😤 I'm soooo tired of being stuck inside. I love the Japanese Maple you just planted and that's a perfect spot. Too bad you won't be able to see it when the grass grows. I also wonder if that grass might be the spider mites' home. I can't wait to see what all you do to that front area.

I was so excited it wasn't just a tulip update and you took us along with everyone for a full project too. I SO would love to find the purplish silver with the dark stem that was in the beaujolais mix, loving the details on that one! Also nice work on the editing, text additions and pronunciations! 😊
Loving all Garden Answer offers from NE GA, Zone 8. Added a new to me Columbine and fuschia for my hummingbirds to the garden today.

One nice thing about the little wild tulips: the night grazing deer are leaving my “Little Beauties” alone. Perhaps because they close up at night? Knock wood! They are planted under my cherry trees beside the street, and the combination has been absolutely show stopping.

My Dad is from Holland and my heart is just so happy to have seen your tour this AM. I've been trying so hard to keep my small yard to three colours of tulips, but hmmm you have me thinking I may need to add ALL the colours. Thank you!
