The single red tulip made my smile and cry. I had a beloved dog named Obi that loved to garden with me. He wasn’t a digger but he loved to shake my weed clumps and dirt would go everywhere. He was known for picking up a bulb or two and then in the spring I’d wonder how things got there. After he passed I’d find a single red tulip in various places in my garden where I’d never planted tulips. I’d see them on a walk. I haven’t seen one yet this year and low and behold, there is one in Laura’s garden. “Hi Obi! Thanks for saying hello.” I watch your videos every day. You couldn’t ask for a better garden puppy than Obi. He must know that I do. ❤️❤️❤️

Its easy to overlook. I lost a dog to some kind of toxin, I now check every plant to see if its toxic before I buy. Dog owners need to be more aware of this. Tulips are one of those plants that are toxic to dogs.

Have you ever considered adding “scenes from your garden” at the end of your daily videos. Highlighting what is happening in your garden. No talking, just sweet music, film clips and stills. At the end of each month you could compile them into one long video like a monthly stroll through your garden highlight reel.

I couldn't help but 'Google' it. You're both right! They originated from Asia and Turkey and were brought over to the Netherlands, but most tulip bulbs today are grown and produced in the Netherlands. I learned something new today, thanks!

Two things here, If ColorBlends ever needed an ad for their tulips, the shot of the four beds by the Hartley with the redbud in the background is absolutely STUNNING! And I find it funny that you explain your reasoning for planting boxwoods, because they can handle both sun and shade, when we know that you can't not put boxwoods in your gardens!! Loved all the color this tour!

We live on a windy hill in Oklahoma with red clay, and what I most want are lush trees surrounding me. I get very discouraged by how much failure I have with regard to planting trees, but it helps me to see when you have the same problems.

OPINION: You commented on the front walkways flower bed about it not being big enough. When you plant something in there, maybe all the same (even if you wouldn’t) with all your flowers everywhere I wouldn’t think anyone would say, that flower bed is not wide enough. They will be looking at everything and it will be beautiful. The grass looks so beautiful the edge is already done so nicely, why make extra work on yourself. 😊☀️🌷

My mind stores the strangest information. Back when you had the little front gate and the old lilac, that was overrun by an aggressive climber. I remember that was where you had red tulips before from the previous owners. If that's not where that flower bed was then maybe it got tossed around in the grading or irrigation process. Random thoughts. :D Thank you for all you do.

You wonder why we've stuck around? Well, watching you transform that space has been amazing. It's been educational to see how you've tackled it with the infrastructure going in first. But you also have brightened it with temporary things like your first cut flower garden with the rows of tomato plants. It's also interesting to see how your ideas change once you have things in place. Seeing you add things bit by bit and watch it fill out is just a thrill.

Lovely tour and really great to see how much growth in short period of time. At about 15:44 when the cat was in greenhouse it made me think about this, maybe it would be good idea to put a large very shallow pan of water with a rock in the pan so in case the a cat or other critters such as anoles, geckos, frogs, toads, and such critters get trapped inside the Hartley.

Hi Laura, this morning I wanted to see a tour of your garden and ended up finding the first one ever for this house! It was in three parts.
You’ve not been posting on the weekends for a while, so it was a nice surprise when I saw a current tour just posted today!
The garden has changed so much, it’s fun to see that! Thanks for inviting us on your garden journey💕

Ssssoooo happy to see your blooming trees too, this year!! Thank you sharing your daffodils and the perfect tulips and all of the fleeting blooms in your garden this year! They are all part of the rewards of your hard work, even the rogue tulips and the weeded grass are so satisfying. You have accomplished a tremendous amount of work. Spring has been good this year!!❤

What? You're kidding me. When I was stripping my bed to wash the sheets I felt slightly disappointed when I realised that there wouldn't be a Garden Answer video this morning, being Sunday here in Adelaide South Australia. I thought about how once upon a time we used to be blessed with daily videos. After tending to all the cats, I put the kettle on. Went and got my phone. Went straight to RUclips and low and behold this video at it's normal spot at the top of the offers to watch. I couldn't believe my eyes and then to notice it's a long one and a tour.... Yippee x
Thank you so very, very much for sharing your precious time with me and all of us. I'm writing this before I start, going to make my pot of tea first. This is so exciting. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved.... AWESOME you guys... 🎼Oh happy day! 🧡💛😁🙏😇🇦🇺🕊️

Hey Laura & Aaron! I had left a comment on yesterday's or the day before video. Suggested that Aaron get out his trusty drone and do a fly through and over while all the bulbs are blooming together. It's amazing how the cooler spring has allowed many of the various bulbs, trees and plants to all be blooming at the same time. That doesn't really happen very often and would be phenomenal to capture with the drone. Just a thought while everything is looking so wonderful.

So excited you guys are doing more regular garden tours this year! They're my absolute favorite and it's such a great way to see and compare all the plants in their various growth and flowering phases over the course of the season. And to see the fruits of all the hard work you've done in planting and caring for your spaces. Keep it up! Cant wait to see more of the perennials in full bloom!
