You amaze me, you have not only taken care of your gardens, you’ve done your mothers, sister,sister-in-law,and mother-in-law’s! Plus you inspire all of us to be better gardeners. The energizer bunny. Oh to be young again. Your family is so lucky to have such a beautiful soul among them.
Yes well I detect a bit of like mother like daughter going on there :)
Wait - church- college - daycare center- friend which just had a house built!

Laura for mayor! I’d settle for declaring one day as “Laura’s Day”
Will we be seeing an update on the GAZEBO you gifted to the city years ago? I’m so interested in seeing what has become of it nowadays?🤔
What a beautiful sight to see 3 generations all gardening together. That’s priceless ❤
I had the same thought.😊
It will certainly be something for all to remember.
A good beautiful morning to you all from Rhode Island! I love it when mom is on the show. The kids are the cherry on top. Your dad made a cameo appearance too!❤
Me too. West Warwick.
Me too. Charlestown.
Same here to the second half of the comment (from Buffalo NY ☺️)
@@altheab.8907Very cool!

Hello Laura and fellow gardeners. Hope everyone have a great day. Keep planting. Much love from Trinidad 🌴🌺
May greetings & love from Ohio.
I really don’t watch garden shows as I’m an artist so watch art videos. However I stumbled across Garden Answer on RUclips a few years ago & was hooked. It’s the first thing I do every morning. Watching todays show I realized why GA is so loved. Laura you are so real! You make me feel like I’m a friend that has come to visit and we are just walking through your day together and you have that adorable cute ,”I am who I am” personality that is just so much fun to hang out with. I love your dirty hands and the occasional smudge on your cheek or nose. You have the same appeal that Oprah had- your on camera personality makes everyone feel like they could be your friend. I’m so glad you do these videos. They start my day beautifully and have opened up a whole new world of gardening for me. I just bought two of the Green stalk tiered planters! Thank you Laura and family for inviting us in.
That's a very sweet comment.
How this comment doesn't have hundreds of likes is beyond me! Everything you said here, SPOT ON! ✨💛✨
Morning Everyone 🍃🌸🍃
Good morning 🌞
Such special moments with you creating little gardeners for generation after generation. Please allow yourself to feel the immense gift you are giving Susan and Laura. You’ve empowered so many people to take the reins and grow literally and figuratively.
I’m 40 years old and I’ve always loved plants but for the first time in my life I have a yard of my own and I’ve made a beautiful flower garden in our new construction home. I cannot thank you enough, it’s really helped me feel connected to the earth and to myself again. I’m happy crying as I write this. Thank you thank you thank you!
This really touched me. I hope you love on the Earth for a long, long time! ✨💛✨
☕️Good morning Laura, Susan, Benjamin and Samantha Grace and all GA friends. What a great beginning to this beautiful week spending it with all of you. The planting continues and as always, Laura, it will make a spectacular display. Enjoy the week everyone - happy planting! 🌸💕🌷🌼🌱💚
Good morning! I swear, I think Laura should be dubbed the human "power planter" because, my gosh, this girl can get stuff planted in the ground like no other!!!
I love how comfortable your family has become in front of the camera. So wonderful to have that support and validation. As your mother was describing the flowers in the "cut flower" bed, I could not help but notice what a beautiful woman she is. Explains how lovely her daughters are! And the stepping stones in the shapes of hearts and such(like a deck of cards) How whimsical and delightful! It is amazing to see all the stacked stone walls. Such a beautiful garden. Benjamin, always "the not so little anymore" helper. You amaze me with all you do and how much love you show your family. Your videos energize me and delight me. Thank you so very much.
Everything you planted is going to be a show stopper! I love when you take us to your parents’ home, they’re delightful people!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your parents garden is amazing
It shows many years of work
The quality of your videos is so professional!
Omg! Little SG’s face when she’s imagining what’s in the secret garden! ❤❤❤❤
What a great mix of planting and such a sweet setting with grandparents, parents and children just enjoying the evening and one another. ❤🌱❤
I love that you and your mum have the same taste in plants yet both of your gardens are so beautifully individual just simply down to the landscape differences ❤️
Susan’s garden is a couple decades older than Laura’s and also not as level. That would account for quite a few differences.
@@laraemitchell9064 I think Susans vision is also a bit different. She said it herself, she doesn't mind a slightly untidy look, which in terms of garden can translate into a relaxed lived in look
You're right! As alike as they are, they enjoy different 'looks'. A totally beautiful relationship.
Foxglove and hollyhocks are two of my favorite flowers! Add some lupine and it's a trifecta!!!
What a treat ! Can’t wait to see everything you planted in bloom, & how special it is too see your Mom & Dad’s garden as well!
Goodness the kids are looking so old all of a sudden 🥲 Sweet Samantha Grace with her little pony tail this year 🥰 Too precious!
You work circles around all I know! I am now 70 with arthritis and 2 hip replacements and one shoulder replacement and I struggle to do what I do! You make me think I can and sadly I struggle! Love watching you and making me think I can! My poor husband is 74 and I work him to death!!!!
Those tulips are gorgeous. And your children are so precious.❤
Foxglove are one of my faves..can't wait to see all those bloom...will be magnificent !
Love seeing you plant with your Mamma🥹🥹🥹 Cherish each moment, the memories will get you through. I lost my Mamma 6yrs ago
Always think about how barren the South Garden was when you started it. I wondered how you would ever make it beautiful. Of course, I never should have doubted you. The transformation is amazing.
My son bought his first home last Fall, with about 4 acres. So he's just now beginning to see what flowers might have been planted. It's a joy to hear the excitement in his voice as he talks about the flowers blooming. He's shown me pictures & all seem to be bulbs. He has daffodils (he calls them buttercups); some tulips; & beautiful stargazer lilies. Maybe some rose bushes. There is also a small orchard with peach & fig trees.
Super productive day! How beautiful is it is already. Can’t wait to see it all grow! Like the kiddos. All growing like weeds! 💚💚💚
A couple of weeks ago I made the trek to Andrew Seed and had the great pleasure of a photo op with Susan and Monica. It was truly like saying 'hello' to old friends. Such a joy 🥰💗💐
Please make a video of your folks' foxglove and hollyhocks this summer. I would LOVE to see them in BLOOM!
Hello GA Family,
Lovely to see the update on all the bulbs in both your garden and your Mum’s garden. I can’t wait to see the Roses, Hollyhocks and Foxgloves bloom in the fullness of time. ❤
Good morning from Delaware Garden Answer friends.
Those pavers in your mom's "secret garden" are so whimsical. I love them!
love how dad and grandpa sit watching you and your mom plant:>
Good morning ladies. 84 foxgloves, wow what a statement that will be! Please take us back when they bloom!
Yes! We NEED another tour of your parents' garden. Those are some of my favorite videos. Their garden just feels so cozy under the trees, and with the rock walls. Just lovely.
Lovely. Love Benjamin and his granddaddy. Can’t wait to see it all in bloom, your garden, mother’s, sister’s and sister-in-law.
Good morning! 🌻🐝
I love seeing Laura point things out in the garden with dirt on her hands. ❤it’s the truth and soul of gardening. 😊
Laura,, so fun seeing the kiddos involved and enjoying hanging out and helping in their own way. Sweet family ! all the plantings are going to be stunning.
Thank you Aaron for the beautiful music 🎶 in this one, I so enjoyed listening while Laura created 🌸
Wow Holly Hocks get 8 feet tall!?! You make it look so easy; your soil is so fluffy. So happy for you, you must totally enjoy it!
Your mom & the kiddos 😍…. how very sweet to see your family in this video. Bonus. 💓

👋Good Tuesday morning, again, Laura!
LOVING the music 🎶🎶🎶 selections used during Laura's Hollyhock/Foxglove planting!!!! Thank you, Aaron/Ken!!!
It is wonderful to see John & Susan enjoying their grandchildren and visiting with you & Aaron!!!
👋Hi CS!!!🐈⬛ I don't know if that is how your name is spelled, but that is what I hear, when your name has been mentioned.
I DID enjoy this video, very much!!! I always enjoy seeing the production you do in a day and seeing you enjoying time with your families!🤩🥰 I am envious that your family is so close; mine is spread across several states.😢

👍❤I am thankful to learn about hoselink retractable hose reels. I have seen yours and was hoping to find out how to get some. I've spent 30 years fighting with hoses as I drag the hoses around my property. I used your link to hoselink and picked out an 82 ft hoselink. It will be the best Mothers Day Gift from my husband, I hope! Laura I love waking up and watching your inspirational garden videos. Blessings to you and all your family.
The timing of this video couldn't have been more perfect. I was just thinking about planting my Foxglove that were started in milk jugs via winter sowing method. That looks beautiful.
Oh the work your parents did with the steps and patio is gorgeous! Looks like it was always there. Stunning
I love that little sheep in your mom's garden.
Samantha sure looks like your Mom, so sweet! Kids are growing so fast!
Love kids with gram!
Will you plant any really tall perennials? You have so much space, you could easily plant some big ones. I like for example the helianthus 'Lemon Queen' and helianthus salicifolius (but this one bloomes very late, but has beautiful leaves, and in the public garden they had a gigant metal ring around it so that it does not flop over). And rudbeckia nitida has also interesting flowers.
Delphiniums are also beautiful, but they need a lot of water and nutrients. And did you ever think about to plant Eremurus? But the leaves disappear after they bloomed.
For flower arrangements you could plant some gypsophila paniculata. Maybe you have that plant allready, I can not remember. Echinops bannaticus and ritro look also good, but maybe they self seed as much as eryngium.
And for half shade are cimicifugas great.
You are one of the most hard-workingest people on youtube.
I am loving how your garden is filling in.
Hollyhocks behindagainst yourflowershed fence it would frame your fruitorchard anyway youd love colour texture and height there and especially trailing sweetly around yourflowershed beautiful building even with a spattering of your lovely foxgloves to add hieght and hidden views of your secret garden there.. so lovely laura what you are doing why and how it models everyone who views in… your candor is amazing…. No one knows what others lifes are going through your diligence helps each of us grow through the diversity s with the love of garden and its healing properties it relieves the pains …what
ever they be on any given day… thank you I am very grateful for you , your dear family💚🙏🪴
OMG Your beautiful children are so big already!!!!💚🧡💜 All the flowers to be are so nice!!!!
Hi Laura! Don't worry about the foxgloves not being true "perennial." I have these in my garden. They never "disappear". Like you said, they reseed so freely that you would never notice them gone year after year. They also don't reseed too far from the original mother plants in my garden, so are pretty tame that way. Hoping to see their beautiful show in your video later this year!
So nice to see all of the Generations getting in on the fun
Samantha Rose and Benjamin look so much like you at this age! They are so adorable!
Good morning Laura,Susan Benjamin n Samantha nice to see you all planting n making memories the flowers love awesome
I would Love to see your parents garden tours come back. They are some of my favorite tours!
And so strong too every time you pull up a tree or you use that heavy auger to plant bulbs and other plants, I bring my husband over, and I say look at this do you think I could do that? No way! She's so strong!
Your mom is living her best life with the kiddos. Samantha, a.k.a., Laura Junior, with no shoes on. You all do such a good job of mixing hard work and childhood fun.
Laura... Your garden is glorious, but I tell you what...I just absolutely adore when you take us to your parents garden too! Thank you so much for sharing this special moment with your family. You easily could have skipped filming to enjoy this moment with them and instead you chose to share. It was beautiful to watch! Thank you for all you do and share with us. Brings me so much joy! Have a great week! Ashley
I agree. Susans' garden is mature while Lauras' garden is still being created. Laura reminds us that gardens evolve with time and we should change things around as that garden matures.
Good morning! Has the dining room addition/remodel started at your Mom & Dad's house? If so, how's it going?
Laura, you are truly living your dream. Keep dreaming!
I have Hollyhocks, love them but there a rust color fungus that takes over on the leaves what can I do for them? Your are amazing gardener mother and I enjoy you over cup coffee just about very morning. Keep sharing your beautiful garden and life. It’s such joy from hard world… and give hope for so many thank you ❤
I love the way u help out so many people in so many different ways, like planting extra and helping family members to beautify their spaces like urs. Ur family get togethers are so precious and to see ur kids grow is fun. God bless u and urs. No Russell photo bomb today? He’s a stinker.
What a day, do you ever sit and relax? I spent the day yesterday planting and composting with the first of a few beautiful days. Now for a day of rest. 🌱🌷🌼🌻🌸💮🌷
Good morning!
Hope the sun show up soon and blue sky, too.
I appreciate each day in the garden.
💜🎶Good morning Garden Answer .. Great job Laura .. yes colors that are pleasing to the eye.. You Go Girl 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💜🎶🇨🇦
Shame we have major rust issues with hollyhocks as i do love them...better luck in the next garden 😉
Speaking of animals...the new property could take grazers a starter group that you separate and let grow by a couple each year for twelve yrs, their lifespan.
Sheep bred in hot climates could be good to add for cheese and dairy, you get twice nutrition of cow's milk. I think Manchego sheep could be nice to look up.
2 acres per 20 sheep. Maybe keep a couple of goats mixed in for fun. I would have a nice sized barn loft shelter first with stalls for caretaking...so sweet for all holidays to visit during season changes.
What a lovely video! It brought back so many memories of my own parents working in their yard and designing beautiful landscaping.
The words "black eyed susan" and "somehow" just don't belong in a sentence together. LOL I live in NC and happily scattered seeds around the perimeters of my gardens 5 years ago and now they are EVERYWHERE! It's easy to pull them up if they've wandered too far and I LOVE them :)
I have a lot of Agastache too plant from seed 🌞🤔About 100🤓 all started from seed in March
Can’t wait to see them in bloom. Will you like in 20 years make this a “public” garden?
That's a good question, a public garden. 😊
I would charge an admission fee just to cover the cost of more plants, plant food, fertilizer, just the upkeep.
Beautiful, as always! Can’t wait to see them as they grow and fill in those spaces!
Unbelievable how much you can get done in one day!!! I did 30 bags of raised bed mix in my new bed made 16 baskets and I feel like I ran a marathon 😳I love seeing the kids with your parents❤
I started some of the double champagne hollyhocks as well. Although, I was under the impression that the majorette series is a dwarf variety only growing 2-3' tall.
Samantha has beautiful hair color! Love your mom’s garden!
Greetings, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸
Cute intro❤
A Hula Hoe? That looks like an effective tool👍
Your cut Garden is going to be glorious ❤
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍 💓
❤Peggy❤
I call it a stirrup hoe.
Hello! I don’t recall if you mentioned if the Double Champagne is the Marjorette variety from Baker’s Creek? I planted those last year and they’re a dwarf variety; they only get about 3 or 4 feet tall.
Every time I see that new rose garden I start craving chocolate layer cake! 😂😋
I've been in love with hollyhocks since I saw them the first time in a mass planting. What an amazing flowering plant! The way you planted so closely it will turn out to be a jungle of blooms!
Can not even take the cuteness of the kids!🥰
I love hollyhocks, especially the single blossoms. I spent many hours as a child making hollyhock dolls. I miss having them but in my area I deal with hollyhock rust because of the hot, humid weather. I will enjoy watching yours grow and bloom.
Never get bored with your videos.
Laura it's a treat to see the family together!
I can see how the Hoselink would make things much easier- thank you for showing the different ways to mount them- even the temporary way…. Good idea. 👍
Gardening aside, you are making such beautiful memories with your children. They will have the memory of the time spent in their grandparents garden for the rest of their lives. These kind of videos absolutely warm my heart. ❤
Ohhhh the perennial garden is looking so gorgeous right now! The trees and shrubs and flowers and statues. So pretty. I never really liked or considered statues until watching your garden. Now a few years later, I've got a few in my garden!
Good Morning! 🌞 The South Garden is looking gorgous! I love the family time you share with us - Thank you! 🥰🪻🌱🌿💜💚
Laura, I have been eyeballing a hose link for over two years but just not ready to pull the trigger. That are so handy!! I would. love one! I loved it when you just tossed a bunch in the Gator...oh what a life to play in the dirt and garden all day. You are a joy to watch and I get to live vicariously thru you guys! Blessings!
You gave me the courage to get rid of things in my garden. I pulled all of my hollyhocks out. AND I still have them. They were here when we moved in 24 years ago.
Loved seeing the family together, kids are so sweet!
Hi Laura, I had to shake my head watching you plant hollyhocks. I spent most of my day yesterday digging out all mine. Can't beat the Japanese beetles and rust. Have battled for several years and over it. Tryed every kind of repellent nothing has worked. Flowers are so beautiful but over it. 😢.
Good afternoon Laura and family
Oh my there going to look amazing, hope you well show us a video later on and at your parents also. Thanks, have a wonderful rest of the day 👋🙂💮
Good morning everyone
I can’t believe how big those babies are! Feels like they were just in the belly!
Inspirational, as usual. I really like the music while the first group of hollyhocks were being planted.
Oh, Samantha is getting so big, grow so quickly. ⚘
the children are so adorable, truly blessed, sending blessings & love Caroline
Love that spot by the chicken’s house. Eye candy for me.💗💗💗😊
What a glorious sight the chickens have of the Harley😊
