- Is Kristen's performance in Spencer Oscar worthy? With all the Oscar buzz surrounding her stellar performance as Diana Spencer, top awards experts are predicting she will receive her first Oscar nomination. So here is a video containing several brief film clips of Kristen portraying Diana to help viewers decide if she is worthy.
The movie portrayed bulimia in a way I hadn’t seen before, and I was actually so thrilled with her performance. It isn’t a biography of Diana by any means but it was important to show the struggles she was going through. I hope she wins an oscar
Yep, I loved that dinner scene.
I think it's hard for people who don't have an eating disorder to understand those who do, and the dinner scene just portrays how nervous she was and how it felt like eating rocks.
The looks they gave her, made me want to step out, drive home, and take a shower.
Definitely! I’ve had bulimia since 2008 due to my gender dysphoria and I can say that the snide comments in this movie all happened to me. My ex husband used to say mean things just like Charles. When I purged after meals I’d sneak snacks to fill my tummy and people followed me around. Eventually they’d spy on my every move.very very real. And like Diana, I’m not ashamed of my disability. I’m ashamed at the coldness of others
I hope the worst for the queen she is evil
Her sons were such failures
@@maybelleobia6588 not Harry he actually left. And is living a life his mother wanted to have so much but couldn’t because of her untimely death
@@maybelleobia6588 wtf
I read an article with Kristen saying she doesn't care about winning an Oscar and I found that really refreshing, that it's more about the performance than winning an award.
Jokes on her, she actually made it through 🙌🙌🙌
In that short She prayed Diana as sad, however, at that time Diana was full of sharing 🙏 🙌 life with others!✨Full of life star!✨
Take the basterds out!✨
So it was not a fucking accident I'll do that Myself!✨ n Quick!✨

The night I saw this video, I was so moved by her performance, the cinematography, gorgeous colors, everything, I can't even tell you. So proud of her. I love when underdogs win at life.
@Broken Girl: yes - in recent interviews, I notice a distinct change of tone on the part of interviewers, AND from other highly-respected actors & film makers....I was late to the party; after reading an intriguing review from Peter Bradshaw (UK Guardian critic), I bought the DVD of ‘Personal Shopper’& I remain mesmerised by her intelligence
- so essential to her beauty!
Wondrous when an actress plays the long game, - she could so easily wipe the floor with everyone!
Little Punk Witch! 💗
yes!!! this movie mesmerized me and her performance was exquisite
“TELL THEM I’M NOT WELL” What a performance!
This is once in a lifetime performance by any actor. This is not just for oscars but to be written in the cinema history as one of the best performance.
She sounded better than Corrin tbh,but I pity how director only showed darker side of diana. We know she was suffering, but also her vibrancy and beauty would hide her grief perfectly. This is way more depressive than usual realistical way. Her figure was better than Corrin as well, but i still give Corrin preference cuz of emotions being portrayed more expressively. Diana wasn’t eating their words in private she stood up herself as possible as she could.
I wholeheartedly agree. She made me FORGET I was watching Kristen Stewart playing Diana and made me believe that this was Princess Diana herself. I had severe doubts but she proved me wrong and made me apologize. EASILY the best portrayal of anyone playing Diana onscreen ever.
@@emilywandosen8472 To be fair, the point of the film was to show her struggles with the Royal Family after being in that oppressive system for a decade already, so this is a Diana that/s already been weighed down and made to feel hopeless. Emma was portraying the Diana at the start of her life with the Royal Family; naive and full of energy and unaware about the state she will be in.
@@emilywandosen8472 Corrin's performance was based days before this moment in history. I think the last episode was Corrin entering the castle and then it ends there. And this movie picks up. And you noticed at the end with Corrin's, performance, she was already exhausted, drained, and decided to divorce Prince Charles. So in the end, this is probably how depressive Corrin's Diana is going to be. lol.
Facts.
I really hope she'ill win the oscar . Her performance gave me so many emotions....
I too hope Kristen wins or at the very least receives an Oscar nom, for in my opinion, this was the best performance of her career and one of the best performances by any actress in 2021.
She absolutely deserves a nomination but she has to go a long way to win one. She isn't there yet.
@@SyedSaifAbbasNaqvi i don't see you acting in a major film lmao
@@tristanbelenn 😂😂😂
@@SyedSaifAbbasNaqvi Isn't there like what exactly? Apparently she has won like 14 awards in some small film awards, according to her co-star Jack Nielsen so an Oscar win chance is possible for her. Remember the fact that Jennifer Hudson got nominated for an Oscar for her very first film role and she ultimately won. Win an Oscar because of the performance, not because of the track record
As a long-term advocate of Kristen and her tremendous acting abilities, she was beyond brilliant, captivating and haunting in this role. I can feel the Oscar looming.
Esperemos que si 🙏🌠
me too
her tremendous acting abilities 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve seen this movie 7 times and it gets better every time.
It’s not your traditional biopic where they put everything on the table for you and tells you everything.
You have to pay attention to every detail, every frame, every movement of the camera, the relation of the scoring and each frame, everything.
You have to sit there and pay attention and clearly understand that this is a character study and they’re not trying to tell about what actually happened to the late Diana Spencer. Evident by the scene after the church where she didn’t smile at all to the cameras of the paparazzi, but in real life we all know Diana never had that expression in her photos.
It’s a portrayal of what she felt inside behind all the smiles. It’s like a dark Diana 🖤
Her performance, the music, the poetic storytelling, cinematography gave me goosebumps
the music was one of my favorite things about the film
The movie made me feel what Diana must’ve felt. I was sick to my stomach 3/4 of the movie. It’s so internally intense, it’s scary.
And when the final 4th act hit
We feel relieved because Diana is finally free from the "cage" alongside her children
She is nothing short of astonishing. I can tell Diana was a kindred spirit for her and she truly embodied her turmoil, angst, warmth and ultimately her essence. She deserves the Oscar in this astonishing portayal but of course ....she doesnt need it. Shes too cool for it anyway but it be nice.
Well put. My respect for her is so great
This movie is so intimate and it made me uncomfortable at times because the emotions are just so palpable. Kristen moved me with her performance!
This is a remarkable portrayal. It could almost be The Princess herself. One of the best pieces of acting I've seen, and from the woman who was given so much grief over her role in Twilight. Bravo, Kirsten!
Even if she doesn’t win an oscar (she deserves tbh) but this performance has engraved her as one of the best.
I can't stop watching this. She really more deserved to win that Oscar. She is really good. We have to support her
SHE'S NOMINATED FOR THE OSCAR GUYS. SHE WON WE WON
I can finally sleep peacefully, Kristen Stewart is officially an Academy Award Nominee. Thank you Neon, thank you Pablo Larrain, thank you Steven Knight, thank you Academy!!!
Some were predicting Alana Haim would sneak in replace Kristen while Lady Gaga was looking more and more like the Best Actress Oscar frontrunner. So I'm surprised both got snubbed while Kristen received her first Oscar nom.
@@kokoleka808 well nevertheless, I'm glad she got in
@@kokoleka808 i’m sorry but alana haim would not have deserved an oscar. kristen deserves it
This movie is a turd salad. It looks appetizing on the outside.
I have always been an advocate of Kristin Stewart. Her ability to make me feel every emotion she is feeling in her films and the way she transforms herself into her character for each role is simply brilliant. You can feel the passion she has for each role she plays. She has a talent like no other.....everything about her portrail of Princess Diana is exquisite. Beyond Oscar worthy
Kirsten Stewart became famous for playing Bella Swan in Twilight but now she's proven herself as an actress with Spencer and she wants to be taken seriously and this movie shows it. I hope she wins an oscar for Spencer. The DVD comes out January 11 2022.
Seeing her grow has been a pleasure. Other actors seems stagnant especially when they start of younger but she os grown. Her and Rob have been great (I know this is about her buttttt they both get slack from their roles in Twilight)
According to Neon, the studio behind this movie, Kristen Stewart has been crowned 'Best Actress' by 17 critics group, more than any other actress this year. It's very possible that she's sweeping the Best Actress award next year at the bigger ones
Twenty now. Three times more than any other actress this year.
I just love kristen stewart. she is savvy, smart and plays the industry as much as it plays her. she will do things beyond acting
This narration of Diana...is something which i never imagined in my life ..even though I've heard she had a eating disorder and depression episode..princess Diana was always portrayed a young kind woman...but this was really something! interesting to see the story behind the close doors.
She did the head tilting so welll, in a not cringy wayy, really stunning performance
YES!! This movie was beautifully haunting and Kristen's performance was perfection!!
Gross.
I thought I was looking at Diana herself in some parts. She did a timeless job here.
Wow I'm so interested in watching this now, I didn't know it was so psychological, atmospheric, oppressive, metaphorical. I hope Kristen Stewart gets all the recognition she deserves! I mean, playing someone so beloved as Princess Diana, the stakes were high to begin with, and she appears to give so much of her inner world. Not even her natural accent, but it doesn't seem to be a problem either. She really outdid herself!
Definitely Oscar Worthy. Her performance is captivating and breathtaking. It's even more amazing not just because of her role and fame from Twilight. I knew of her before that. The first movie I saw her in was Cold Creek Manor. She did Panic Room, Catch That Kid and the Messengers. To see her blossom over the years is just....wow.
Plus we share the same birthday, (Same month, day, and year) so there's my bias.
If she doesn't win the Oscar I will never watch them again. Her performance shook me. Lady Gaga deserves a nomination but Stewart better fucking win
I mean
Her perfomance is the most critical acclaimed in 2021
Yeah not Kidman , not Cruz , not Colman , not Gaga , not Haim , and not Chastain
It's Kristen . That's saying something
@@m.syauqiabdurahman2798 I didn't ask for your input, curry breath
Who wrote the script for this movie? Whoever it was they had the right idea. Also Kristen is fantastic.
Thanks Steven Knight for the brilliant screenplay .
I think she is briliant in this role. She's very convincing as Diana.
I learned that it’s a movie to watch alone, unless you’re watching with someone who is just as into the topic. I tried to watch with my parents and had to turn it off because they couldn’t stand it. I’m going to continue tonight.
OMG, I have loved these two ladies so much and now one is portraying the other. Kristen is talented and she deserved this role. She did justice to the role. She deserves an Oscar.
I am definitely not a kristen Stewart fan but she acted so impeccable that she gets an A from me. Very Good.
Sounds like you're a fan now. She has always been talented.
Definitely oscar worthy. New fan of Stewart now. Love and mesmerized by Stewart performance
I thought Kristen Stewart couldn't act; I was wrong.
She can, now.
Resplendent.
The scene from 1:25 had me in tears - I managed to hold it together in theatres, thank god, but the feeling is so raw and sounds like somethings that was probably said (in some way or another).
it was actually really fascinating to see her style of acting and her mannerisms infused with her portrayl of lady diana it was so sweet and airy feeling.
I hope this movie will shut down many haters from calling Kristen a bad actress. She's extremely talented, I love her. She has done good perfomances in other movies that I truly love mainly Speak which till this day is her most underrated performance. She has always been a good talented actress, she just need a better material to work with, she would be fine. From all the cast member of Cafe Society she carried the movie for me, she was brilliant in that movie
She is still bad.
@@Flambefare Hahahahah no
@@Bjork4s 🤷♀️
‘Speak’ ....she was still a child & beyond reproach: her ‘back catalogue’ is really worth watching...I began with ‘Personal Shopper’ (the reviews are so intriguing!), & I’m still back-tracking!
Such a revelation - full of lovely surprises - I can recommend the journey!
🙏🏻🌹🙏🏽
Seems a little too much like Kristen trying to be Diana. I like Kristen but she doesn't "become" Diana the way she should.
I'm not sure either how I feel about a movie merely portraying Diana as unstable. Yes she had issues with her mental health and felt isolated a lot but why focus so much on that aspect of her? I think a "darker" movie like this one was a good idea but the execution didn't turn out right. I feel it should've been a bit more equal in showing both her dark and her light sides, rather than to only focus on the miserable parts. You can do that but still make it a darker, artsy movie. I just feel like that would've been more interesting to watch.
Personally i'd like a movie about her life after the divorce. There's so much focus all the time when it comes to her about how cruel Charles was and how depressed it made her. This, in a way, is just stigmatizing. A person isn't crazy or unstable just because they have mental health struggles. I don't know why one would want to make Diana seem like a crazy person, to be honest. There is so much positives about her and what she accomplished as a part of the royal family that should be lifted instead.
The film Spencer actually had several scenes depicting the positive aspects of her life but I choose to show some of her more dramatic moments. The media often portrayed Princess Diana as someone who was charming, charismatic, high spirited, captivating and loving, which I strongly believe to be true. However, the tell all interview by the BBC's Martin Bashir told of a woman who was also deeply distressed by powerful forces that did not have her best interest at heart. Although speculative, the film Spencer explores a side of Diana Spencer that very few knew about. To remain silent on this issue would be a disservice to the People's Princess.
just proves you didnt get the film at all
it's not a biographic film, it's a mental reflection of Diana, half virtual half realistic
@@edwardchen9619 exactly, and a very specific 3-day period when she was in excrutiating pain and confusion, about to opt for the divorce which, in her case, was not an easy decision at all.
I agree with your comment. I don't find Diana in this performance. This is so American... Something does not fit.
Have to agree with you. There is something that is just „too much“ of all … the accent, the Head tilting, too loud.
Diana always seemed so calm and collected
So happy she has been nominated for her Oscar. Well deserved.
Basically there was no need to add anne boleyn into this..Diana’s story and title is alot more of that of catherine of aragon ..anne boleyn is more of camila parker bowles
She said the king accused her of having an affair, when it was in fact him that was having an affair.
Felt like Camilla was more of a Jane Seymour. The woman he really wanted to be with.
She bodied this, I hope she wins that Oscar
She definitely deserves the Oscar for this
Omg! She was so good in every scene
Kristen Stewart nailed Princess Diana and I hope she wins an oscar for this performance. Princess Diana was a complex woman who was dealing with so much but she became the People's Princess and was loved by the world and she still is today. Princess Diana did have an eating disorder and she did get help for it and she broke up with Prince Charles and then she did things her way and she died in August 31 1997 in a car accident and she was only 36 and if she had worn her seatbelt she would have lived.
I really loved it, there were moments where she looked so much like Diana
I was blown away by Kristen’s performance. She nailed everything about Diana except her height.
Kristen Stewart IS royalty imo.💝
You know its Kirsten but I cannot see her. Her performance is remarkable. I hope she at least gets nominated for an Oscar. Bravo.
Kristen side profile is everything ... Her nose is to die for 🔥
I watched the film yesterday and her performance is beautiful
from being Bella to Diana, Kristin has really grown over the past years
she made me feel towards diana.. i honestly never had imagine she was suffering on the inside... it gives me this perspective... i was admiring diana when i was young and now i feel like she deserves more than just the news..
Wow, her british accent 👌
It's even more impressive when you see the full movie, she disappears and you only see the character she's playing
Beautiful job! Thank you for the upload.
0:49 Why did you get me a lobster?
Diana: Because my favorite director is Yorgos Lanthimos.
This IS hers. She better get the goddamn Oscar statuette.
ive watched spencer 6 times now and yet every time i am hopelessly captivated by it. there multiple scenes that give me goosebumps each time i watch. amazing! kristen is absolutely breathtaking and wholeheartedly deserving of the oscar this year, and i am 100% rooting for her
Where did you watch this. Thanks
I’m really looking forward to her nomination, she’s surely in, but I fear she won’t be winning as much as I think she deserves it for this amazing performance there are just so many other strong performances this year. It’s gonna be tough. I think we’ll know for sure by the end of January.
I KNOW! I fear that this will be similar to what happened to Jackie. Natalie Portman should have won that Oscar for her role!
She is winning every award from the critics in USA recently I know for sure she will get an nomination, honestly if she doesn't win the oscar since all the critics are giving her awards for this performance will be very weird
I feel like Gaga’s media campaign is much more aggressive but i think this could mark a turning point in Kristen Stewart’s career

Honestly I didn’t really like it as much as I should have they just made her seem like she was a angry psycho and less like the loving kind natured person she was (I mean we all have our angry moments) but she just didn’t seem right in my opinion
Please don’t be mad just my opinion
I agree. This seems caricaturish
I agree. The portrayal Was so unflattering, that if she was truly like that much of the time, it almost makes the royal family appear justified in their treatment of her.
Because that’s literally the only portrayal we have seen of Diana - especially from the media. We all know how good natured and kind she was, but just like she was those things she was also very sad and wanting to escape. There’s multiple interviews where she looks completely miserable. This movie is supposed to be dark
@@tcherieee It's not about the sadness or darkness. Simply over imitation of facial expressions. Everybody knows that sadness and darkness was part and parcel of Diana's life. Crown's portrayal of Diana can be considered a good one. But there also you see this mistake in the engagement interview scene and many people noticed it. Here it seems like in the whole movie Kristine got it wrong.
She's now the Oscar Nominee Kristen Stewart ✨🏆well-deserved 🌟🌟🌟
This is so heartbreaking to watch.Dat Kristen Stewart potrayed Diana as the most saddest royal in the world.Very reckless and lonely.
Great ACTRESS! Kristen Stewart deserves an OSCAR! 🥰👍
I love her laugh laugh…. Incredible look, thank goodness
She did a great job acting in this.
it's certainly a masterwork by Larrain. it's very reminiscent of Jackie. i hope it's not too samey, though that was an excellent film.
Lady Diana just wanted and craved for Love...hope her Children helped her....hope she had some happy days....the World will never forget her...we just loved her as People's Queen...RIP Princess D.Well done Kristen Stewart for giving us a glimpse of how her life was...you nailed it.

Pray she wins the Oscar she’s an incredible actress 🌹
She was absolutely fabulous in this role.. very touching
This in all honesty is some Oscar award worthy stuff
I kinda wish they used Kathrine instead of Anne because I think Kathrine would've fit her better.
Kristen Stewart was brilliant in this movie as she is in every movie she makes. She has the ability to transform into her character perfectly including her perfectly enacted accent! She deserves an Oscar for this one for sure. Her rival nominees are not even close to her caliber of acting except for maybe Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lawrence. Not sure if she is nominated or not Bravo Kristen!
Kristen Stewart was brilliant in this role. Just breathtaking. I was very hesitant in the beginning. But this movie really touched me.
Yes i agree, she was magnificent in this film- and I’ve never been a fan
God I really enjoyed this film! I even want to watch it again when I’m in the right mindset. It’s that good
I'm sorry but - does she fervently whisper through the whole film?
Yup, sometimes she shouts and screams
What?!?

Didn't enjoy the movie, but god damn Kristen is great in it! That's her best performance by far.

I actually could not believe she was the same actress of Twilight movies... What an improvement 😂😂🎥🎥
You do realise that twilight was 10 years ago and she had done loads of good movies since? Even won a Cesar (French equivalent to Oscars) and the only American actress/actor to do so
In this video she seams to overact a little bit... It seems like on the edge of parody at moments. Have to see the movie though...
That’s because this video takes the biggest moments of the movie without the small moments in between. The entire film is literally following her the whole time, you have to see it, it’s incredible.
