I can’t help but love the woman she has become. She seems much more comfortable in her own skin and doing press, plus she’s a fantastic actress. She will get an Oscar one day not far, mark my words

Thought the same thing - blown away how much more comfortable and talkative she is now around her roles, experiences, etc. Always associated her with being very quiet, shy and at times awkward talking about her work in press and interviews. Fun to see.

How is she a fantastic actress? Everything she does is watching her play Twilight all over again. The only time she had any nuance was in Spencer.

I have loved Kristen since I was a teenager and had a poster of her on my wall of her flipping the bird with her black nail polish and black mullet, so when people walked into my room they were just being flipped off by Kristen Stewart. She felt like a physical representation of the angst, inner turmoil, anger and revolt I felt as a young girl. So many of her early indie films are the ones that have still stuck with me through adulthood life; Speak, Welcome to the Rileys, Fierce People, In the Land of Women, Adventureland, Equals and obviously Panic Room which wasn’t a small indie but still one of the best thrillers. She really encapsulates such a specific phase/time in my life!
Panic Room is honestly so underrated and under remembered. Truly an incredible film, once I went on a Kstew binge years ago and found that one I knew she was talented beyond her time.

One of Kristen's first roles was an indie film Speak, based off Laurie Halse Anderson's book. She was really good in that film, she conveyed such powerful emotion yet repressed rage for that role
Speak was the first time I had ever seen her. Afterward I recall thinking, " Who is this a girl???"
We did get to find out who she was! 🎉

Agree, but even in Twilight her acting matched the books' energy. Bella does come across as an unlikable, pick-me girl, with an I'm-just-weird-that-way-and-not-like-anyone-else teenager vibe
I used to think she wasn’t a good actress until I read the books again after 15 years. She really caught Bella’s personality and played exactly how the character was described. In the movies we don’t get all the details, so it seems like she didn’t perform according to the books. But she nailed it, for sure!
And before this work, she was highly praised for her performance in “Panic Room”. Twilight’s script itself was the problem, not her acting.

@@K.C-2049 I mean the context of the characters. For example: in the book, Bella is strong and emotional at the same time. In the movie, she is silent and less expressive. It's not about Kristen's performance, but rather the lines adapted to her role.

I've never been huge into Kristen, never realized how truly brilliant and subtly hilarious she is. I'm going to have to deep dive into some more of her more recent interviews now because she is so insightful and incredibly well-spoken. I might just be a Kristen fan now

Spencer was the WORST MOVIE ever made. It literally destroyed the image of an icon like princess diana. If this was her attempt to intentionally sabotage princess diana, she did a good job doing that. That’s why Jessica chastain outperformed Stewart’s wannabe version of the princess of wales. Hopefully she can win her role as best actress. Just not another movie as the princess of wales. Maybe the new queen Camilla. But not Diana.
There’s something about her personality that is so engaging. Just fascinating and charming. She’s coming along way from Twilight and I’m happy for her.

I’ve always really liked her, never seen a twilight film, but she’s done great films since and I think it’s a shame she’s been stuck with this teeny franchise that she’s clearly super talented and capable to escape. I hope she keeps getting the recognition she deserves
I watched the Twilight movies for the first time last year and surprisingly really enjoyed them.
They’re not masterful works of art but they are enjoyable and people just hate in them waaaay too much.

Kristen Stewart is a very underrated actress just because obvs everyone largely knows her for the vampire movies, but videos like this shows she has a breadth and depth in her career, doing everything from small indies to big budget blockbusters (that are kind of trash)
She carries herself in such a delightful and intelligent way, really such a pleasure to get a snippet of her own personality

I've just been loving seeing Kristen Stewart come into her own more and more over these last few years and this interview was so lovely. I'm really curious as to why she hated making Charlie's Angel bc I loved it and wish there was a sequel with this same cast but obviously her experience BTS and what she felt about this new iteration is personal. Also, the "you're getting water in my mouth" was such a good one that can have a duplicitous connotation. Loved it and I'll have to go see where I can watch the short.
Found some additional Kristin Stewart movies I hadn’t heard of. I always liked her. She never went after only the blockbusters. I love that she likes small films. It says something about her. Admittedly I didn’t love her acting in twilight and I hated crimes of the future but I like her even more after watching this.
