I'm not even a fashion girlie but something about Law Roach's styling just has me in awe every time. Some of these looks, I didn't even know he was responsible for and now looking at them, I'm like "I should've known". Chi Town stand up❤

What I love about Law. He understands how to magically blend fashion, art and architecture all in one so beautifully. And the fact he doesn’t call himself a stylist because that word doesn’t mean anything anymore everyone is a stylist now.
Law is such a leader in styling. So fascinating and a delight to hear him talk his thought process when it comes to styling and his respect towards his clients he styles, you can hear the love and passion he has in his job!
Law is EVERYTHING. I too am soo glad that Law is getting their flowers. To hear Law has archives, my jaw dropped and what archives they are. I am in awe and I love Law. Thank you Law and Thank you Harper's Bazaar. We need a part 2, 3 and 4.
Just like Andre' Leon Tally before him, I am inspired by Law Roach. Fashion has often been dismissive of black people, of black bodies, of black culture, or does not give credit where credit is due, but when you have someone on the front lines, opening those doors and making themselves known, it's inspirational. You can just tell when people LOVE what they do and it's more than just a job. I hope he's around for many many years to come because I am enjoying the story he's telling with these wonderful women.
I'm glad people are starting to recognize the Law. He really makes people look their best. I remember when I used to read his articles about hair in Black Hair magazines.
Proud of him....he wasn't always everybody "cup of tea"...but when you actually fierce...you the cup and the tea...he has brought Zendaya life and she has matured and blossomed into a gazelle...I watched her grow up...they are a special duo.
Law is so brilliant at what he does, so many of these looks I’ve seen and my jaw dropped at how iconic they were, only to find out later that he was the one behind them. This man is an absolute legend in his field
The Ariana grande look is my favourite and I always wondered why I haven’t liked her other looks as much as I like this one. OFC IT WAS LAW WHO DRESSED HER
TYSM for this gift of giving Law his flowers! He summed it up perfectly-making his client feel like a queen. It’s absolutely what he does and continues to do, and in their own flavors
I just love this man's voice, he has such a unique cadence and accent. I love how he knows he's the best and also demands that other recognize it as well without seeming arrogant- it's just matter-of-fact. "I did this and it's amazing. Periodt."
I love how he is such a creative genius not like many stylists who I see as only shoppers/pin boarders. When he said he have an archive, it was it for me.
OMG I’ve always loved your looks on Zendaya, but had no idea you were styling all of these other powerhouses too! Also watching this interview / getting to know you and your personality and thoughtfulness behind the looks makes me love you even SO much more! The nod to André Leon Talley had me in tears 😭 but just the way you dress each client so perfectly special with such intention and a sense of individually and the moment they’re in, it’s amazing, you’re the freakin GOAT.
His ability to remember the circumstances and inspiration behind every one of those looks in detail is how you know he really cares and gives it his all day in and day out
Mr. Roach has a gift for fashion, YES, but what this segment did for me was open my eyes to the heart he also has for his clients. It's like he wants them to look good, but to look good because you feel good. No wonder now that his roster is full of such notable names and I'm sure will continue to grow.👍
But I think that heart is a big part of _WHY_ he has that gift for fashion. He knows _exactly_ where to make it edgy and where to pull back a bit, because he's so careful at understanding his clients and what they are comfortable with.
I’ve been following Law & Zendaya as a stylist + model pairing for so long. I’m a plebeian when it comes to fashion so he’s really the only stylist I can name and I’m so glad I know his work.
This goes back to the early 90's, he's doing a great job with it, but he is nowhere near the first to do it, a wider audience is simply noticing it now. I don't think he's Laying claim to it (or at least I hope he's not, that would be embarrassing since the practice pre-dates his entire stylist career).
@@Sindelle He isn't laying claim to it. One thing about Law is he will definitely give credit to where credit is due. He has even mentioned in other interviews Geena Davis doing it for A League of Their Own. I think his issue is that an article specifically stated that Zendaya was following the trend started by Barbie of "method dressing" for the Dune 2 press tour. Most people who follow Zendaya and Law know that they have been doing this type of dressing for years. I'm sure it rankled him a bit saying he "copied" a trend he had been doing for years.
