      Prince Charles treated Princess Diana horribly. Prince Philipp had a good relationship with Princess Diana tho. Everyone else didn't bother to get to know her. She knew what she was signing for when she married charles. Also she was already mentally ill and being part in a family like them (which is understandable, being warm and nurturing is not expected from the queen because she's THE QUEEN, they grew up in that kind of environment, she doesn't have time to be a mother) and having a cheating bastard for a husband made it worse.

    • @mikeg8276
      @mikeg8276 3 года назад +372

      @@noneexistent3219 I agree with most of this but I don’t believe Diana truly knew what she was signing up for. She was a teenager who was tricked into marriage by a man almost twice her age who didn’t love her. It’s true she found out about Camilla after accepting Charles’ proposal, but if she had broken it off before the wedding she would have become the most hated woman in Great Britain and the media would have abused her mercilessly for at least a decade, which, given her mental health struggles, she might not have survived. Diana was a survivor and going through with the wedding was a choice that was made for self-preservation instead of self-promotion.

    The story about Diana is the proofe that common people can recognise when someone is genuine and innocent comparing to the one corrupted and evil. People always loved Diana and despised Charles and Camilla, and that opinion will remain for generations to come. I can't think of better punishment for this "noble people". Forever stained while Diana is always in people's hearts, England rose. I hope the next king of England will be her son who looks so much like her and future queen his lovely wife. ❤️💖Great respect for the creator of the show "The Crown" 👏👏👏

    She loved him at first - very much - watch the news clips from the time - it's obvious. She really was a romantic and nineteen so first love and all that. To give him his due he probably thought he could love her or at least she was good enough - but of the both she definitely got the burnt end of the stick. Marrying into that sideshow to a man she loved who quickly became bored with her and her 'needy clingy' ways once the true scope of her new reality became obvious - and who expected her to play the game and allow him to go back to the woman he preferred and stay dignified and silent - I really don't think that was how she hoped things would turn out. It was her being so popular which lead to the original jealousy - not her fault she fit the mould of a fairy princess way better than he ever fit the prince - not his fault either - but of the two he certainly had the age on her which would have lead one to hope he might have had some emotional maturity to deal with the unfairness of the media latching onto her and leaving him for dead - and not blame her as it was her big plan to marry him and steal his limelight. She was pretty much still a child when they married while he was a 30-plus well travelled man of the world who'd had many loves so him then behaving like a spoiled child having his toy taken off him was...well, disappointing. Hardly surprising - just disappointing - you would have thought at some point on the downward spiral he might have thought that since he was the one who dragged a child into that insanity and madness - he should taken some responsibility and at least tried make the brutality of the whole thing a little more bearable - but he just let it eat her alive and added his jealousy and bitterness to the load. Very human and he certainly not the worst person in the world by any means, and goodness knows the entire royal organisation has ruined his life in many ways, so I certainly don't hate him and think he did the best he could - even it it was a poor effort. But, it must have been a bloody awful life for a woman who thought she's fallen in love with her prince and was about to have a fairy-tale life.

    The marriage was pretty much an arranged marriage and not a love match.
    The honeymoon was a disaster.
    They didn't know each other before the wedding. They didn't have any common interests. They were not compatible in many ways. Both failed to meet each others expectations and needs. Their relationship became increasingly toxic and both were miserable by 1986.
    They informally separated in 1986.
    The marriage was a mistake.

    Regardless of this being just a TV show and some scenes are made up for drama and story telling it doesn’t dismiss the actual horrible treatment Diana still received from the royal family. If anything it’s not too far off of what really went down but that’s something no one knows for sure I suppose. Still it’s crazy to see some people commenting how none of it was true and defining the royal family lol I guess blind loyalty exists for everything.
