Diana truly was the people's Princess. Charles had words. But, no grace, no presence or empathy. He never tried to make things work because Camilla was always there, a shadow or ghost in the room. I admired Princess Diana's confidence and poise in her little black dress. She deserved that moment.
Camilla is forever known as the usurper to the marriage and Charles as the weak immature prince who couldn't handle having such a radiant woman as his wife and Princess Consort. Meanwhile, Diana is forever known as the beloved People's Princess. Diana may not be alive but she won.
I love that Diana wore red nail polish with the ‘revenge’ dress. That’s completely against protocol for royal women. It’s just one more symbol of taking back her freedom and identity.❤
AND THERE IS THE IRONY. Diana could NEVER accept that it wasn't Camilla's beauty that attracted Charles, but rather her intellect, her sense of self and well, interests. Diana would repeatedly call Camilla the Rottweller; claiming that she (Diana) was more beautiful. That's VERY true,.. Camilla could never hold a candle to Diana, but many people would attest that Diana was vapid, vicious, EXTREMELY vindictive, INCESSANTLY victim-y, vengeful and utterly viperous; she would literally be screaming and screeching down the halls after Charles who had a full calendar and diary of obligations. Who would WANT to be around such a woman? Looks aren't everything as she found out with Camilla. True, Charles wasn't entirely in the right, but Diana was not the virginal victim. If they wanted to, both Charles and Camilla could have destroyed Diana. Camilla actually pitied Diana and did not press the issue of Diana constantly harassing her. They both were quite relieved when Diana went on a few romping matches of her own; one ending up as one of the parties responsible for a divorce; always cleaned up by her staff. So Diana may have born a divine name, but she was NO goddess.
@@creativewriter3887 she was flawed, but she had her good qualities. Her humanitarian efforts can't be ignored. She tried. She was human. No hero nor villian.

I imagine much the same that the wives of Diana's affair partners thought when she would call/harass their homes. After, or perhaps during, Charles and Diana's divorce, it was headline news here in Britain how Diana had seduced Will Carling (captain of the national Rugby team) and harassed his wife. She broke their home and their marriage - and they were newlyweds! Funny how people seem to sanitise her sins and focus solely on Charles and Camilla.
That little black dress will go down in history as the Revenge Dress that Princess, Diana wore. Leading the way for all women to have a "revenge dress" in their closets.
To know that Charles failed in his relationship with Diana because he wanted it to, without even factoring how his love for Camilla also destroyed and upended her life with Andrew Parker Bowles. While Camilla somehow put that aside, I can't help but think that Charles will throw anyone under the bus if he doesn't get his way. Of course, it's easy to think he still does so, as he threw Harry and Meghan under the bus repeatedly until they comply.
Camilla and Andrew were done once their children were born. Andrew was never faithful and they divorced. Only thing that got hurt was Andrew's vanity. They were married to get Camilla out of the way. Harry and Meghan chose to leave. Harry slandered his 94 year old grandmother while she was by her husband's deathbed. Charles and Diana were never suited to each other. Different values, different interests, different ages, different lifestyles.

@EveB-6B6. Why do you think? Camilla has class FAR beyond what Diana had, and she is intelligent. Its sad and unfortunate, but these 2 were never suited for each other. Diana was not suited for constant eyes on you all the time as a member of the Royals. Charles at first found her delightful, but it soon became clear she couldn't keep up in a conversation with him. Not that she was stupid, she just didn't know about what he knew. They didn't share interest. I personally never thought much of Diana, except pity for her. The Royals bound by old parliamentary laws, stopped Charles from marrying Camilla, just as they stopped Princess Margaret and look how sad and miserable she was. Its very sad that Diana could not have had a different happy life.
I do like what he's says starting with the trouble starting when the monarchy set them selves up as an ideal . Those are true words. Also. . . I still think that dress is stunning. I think it would still look good today.

Photos of her in that dressmade front page news and Charles' s interview and photo was on an inside page. Diana really was not so much about revenge as self-esteem. she wanted Charles to see what he had given up. Lol and Camilla underlined that by trying to cosplay Diana in a similar dress. Camilla embarrassed herself doing that in the eyes of the world because then the talk was all about how much better Diana had looked.

The worse part is that William and Harry had to grow up the rest of the way without their mother who missed out on their weddings and the births of her grandchildren. I feel that they'll always have resentment towards their father.
@ 🤣🤣 And if SHE had tried to be a better wife it might have been different.
She died because she allowed her driver to speed through a city. She could have stopped him at anytime, but she didn’t. What was the worst that would have happened…they got a photo of her? Without those people she would have been nothing, she relied on the press to keep her in the public eye, which she loved. It as all so unnecessary but make no mistake…she died because someone had been drunk and was allowed to drive at speed on roads not suited for that. Charles had NOTHING to do with her being there at that time…why not blame Dodi? Diana was having an affair with yet another man who was already in a relationship, and if she hadn’t been doing that she wouldn’t have been in that place at that time. You have a very strange mindset to make the connection with Charles.
I wish Diana was still here.
Diana: Charles just called me a mistake...
You can actually hear it in his voice "well i tried.....until i didnt."

Diana truly was the people's Princess.
Charles had words. But, no grace, no presence or empathy. He never tried to make things work because Camilla was always there, a shadow or ghost in the room.
I admired Princess Diana's confidence and poise in her little black dress. She deserved that moment.
I certainly remember that dress. Diana won the war with that one. 😎
Diana wore it better. Watch Camilla try and duplicate it and look pathetic. 😅😂
She did duplicate it, and Diana definitely wore it better lol
The real Dianna was Classy,Elegant and Smoking Hot in her Revenge Dress.😊
That might be so, but Camilla has her husband, and Diana is dead so who really won?
Camilla is forever known as the usurper to the marriage and Charles as the weak immature prince who couldn't handle having such a radiant woman as his wife and Princess Consort. Meanwhile, Diana is forever known as the beloved People's Princess.
Diana may not be alive but she won.
@@dianabumblebottom4598 Who said Charles was the prize?
That’s so unforgivable
I love that Diana wore red nail polish with the ‘revenge’ dress. That’s completely against protocol for royal women. It’s just one more symbol of taking back her freedom and identity.❤
Man.... he had gorgeous Diana and still fumbled smh. Carmilla ain't no prize but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Diana had daddy issues and a load of crazy.
@@creativewriter3887 That might be so, probably because Charles himself married Diana soley for the shallow reasons. He took a naive 19 year old girl and fed her a shallow romantic fairy tale. Of course she didn't understand the substance of his relationship with Camila because she didn't get a chance to live an adult life long enough before Charles married her. Both Charles and Camilla were in their thirties when Charles married Diana. They were full adults and Diana was barely out of school.
Fumbled is putting it nicely. 😂
If Charles was not a prince ,women wouldn't give him the time of day! He's a total bore! If camellia had any class ,she would have lived her own marriage life will her own husband
I think Charles and Camilla were perfect for each other all along. It's a shame they didn't just marry at the outset and save everyone so much pain.
for real! I remember reading a book about Diana in middle school and seeing all the pictures of her and Charles together and just thinking, "Okay but she married HIM??"

@@gnostic268 COWMILLA Is A IMMORAL WOMAN, BRINGING DISHONOR TO THE CROWN
I imagine much the same that the wives of Diana's affair partners thought when she would call/harass their homes. After, or perhaps during, Charles and Diana's divorce, it was headline news here in Britain how Diana had seduced Will Carling (captain of the national Rugby team) and harassed his wife. She broke their home and their marriage - and they were newlyweds! Funny how people seem to sanitise her sins and focus solely on Charles and Camilla.
Only twwo words is Anne for respect, commitment and dedication. And Edward and Sophie for the same but more in huge measure
Agree three people open to working hard
That little black dress will go down in history as the Revenge Dress that Princess, Diana wore. Leading the way for all women to have a "revenge dress" in their closets.
If she were still here, she’d get her boys to communicate again. She’ll probably want to bring the chancla with her
That was the best chess move Diana ever did. Perfection!
That's precisely why it worked; Diana wasn't an actress. It takes great courage tapping into your self, when you're hounded into submission.
Amateur "psychologists" should keep their day job.
Exactly.. Charles and Camilla should have really married in the first place

How is the dress a revenge? Is it because she looks good?
Because this interview was supposed to be front page news and Charles giving his side of the story instead the media put Diana in her dress on the front page because she looked so stunning. The funny thing is Diana never intended to wear that dress she had another one picked out but the media found out and leaked it so she chose that dress instead she was apparently livid at the media for doing that but they did a favour for once lol

Still hard to fathom how anyone could choose Camilla over Princess Diana. Diana has beauty, class, elegance and sophistication, Camilla is none of those.
@EveB-6B6. Why do you think? Camilla has class FAR beyond what Diana had, and she is intelligent. Charles is obviously deeper than a ‘bit of blonde in a dress’, and I think he should get credit for that. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for him to be married to someone thick as a plank…her word, not mine…looks only go so far.

In all honesty, Princess Diana was always too much of a real woman for Prince Charles. Now, King Charles, I always thought he was so flimsy. She was always out of his league.
R.I.P. Princess Diana, may you come back in another life to experience a true, pure, genuine love life that you deserve 💖
It is really Prince Charles's overwhelming desire to be understood that has been his ultimate downfall as a Royal.
We all know the dress wasn't screaming FCK U CHARLES
It actually screamed FCK U ROYAL SYSTEM!!

There was another injured party, Andrew Parker Bowles, and he just walks away-done.
No, he complied. He was done with Camilla within 5 years of their marriage. I am sure he was paid well to be the cover up for their relationship. He is still friends with both and had a sizable role in their coronation ceremony in May 2023. If you don't believe me, google it.
how is a serial cheater an injured party?
Nuture outside outside friendship. Another euphomism for infidelity.

He see that poor woman treated her monstrously and thankfully everyone sees through his bullshit. Diana was a real decent woman who deserved so much better.
Charles made the right decision. She broke tradition by marrying someone he actually loved. Even though it broke Diana heart ..from Charles perspective he took was breaking a tradition by actually marrying someone HE loved ..I understand that part I'm glad he let Diana go in the end. They both didn't deserve to settle for an unhappy union

When did detective McNulty leave Baltimore?
sorry if i sound a bit slow but can someone plz explain how that dress served the purpose of revenge
@peachygal4153 yeah i saw the photos that was embarrassing alright 😂😂

they just want to blame the kings across the planet for their own unhapiness, not realizing true happiness you get is not from random people but from your own kids if you are married into an arranged marriage or if you are lucky and you meet your soulmate(alpha and omega).
The fact that he is still alive and got everything he wanted really shows how foul this world has become...
When God wants to punish someone he will give them everything they want. It's a recurring motif in the arts.
See now THAT actress portrays Camilla far better than Emerald.
Did Camilla’s ex husband ever make public comment about things?
So sad.
They portrayed Charles -sorry, NOT sorry, can't even think of that... that, whatever he is, as a MAN, let alone a king. Regardless of what I think of Diana- as a somewhat repentant individual, conscious of his error(s). But I watched the REAL thing, and he had a nonchalance to his words, tone, and body language that said: " 'Fluff' everyone... SO WHAT? I did it. AND...? "
Cowmila was always in the background
I have always respected Charles.
It wasn't a happy thing when he and Diana weren't getting along.
And its very old news that Camilla played a part in it.
But im sure Charles has learned by now, and from what i hear, he has bigger problems to worry about now
I've been praying or thinking of him daily.
how is that dress a revenge dress, can someone explain?
The headlines the next day were "The Thrilla He Left to Woo Camilla", “Charles blusters as Diana Dazzles”. She showed the world she is not the woman who will hide and cry in humiliation as her husband infidelity played out in public. She’s beautiful and radiant without him.
And actually that dress is not suit typical ‘protocol dress‘, which shows Diana ‘s rebel against his words🔥🔥🔥she showed him who is boss in people’s heart👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

So he was allowed to do an interview, but she wasn't?

Princess Diana won in the long run. Her legacy lives on. Her kindness and down to earth nature is never forgotten. The world mourns her passing.
Meanwhile the rest of the British royal family has become an absolute laughing stock.
The world MOURNED her passing. It doesn't continue to do so, apart from a handful of particularly morbid Americans. The rest of us recognise that almost three decades have passed since then.
