Spanish Cedar is a type of wood that breathes humidity very well. It can absorb a large amount of moisture without constantly dispersing it. What this means is it will be able to keep your cigars humidified even when your humidifier has run out of excess moisture. As a bonus, spanish cedar doesn't impart any flavor onto cigars, where other wood types will.
I have a custom-built humidor that I made and actually it has three levels and I put cameras inside of it and everything is controlled through my Wi-Fi and I can control all the devices wirelessly and it has an LED light that I can turn on if I'm somewhere else and I also built-in a reservoir or a spare electronic device in case the first one malfunctions or stops working but I could be halfway around the world and with my set up I can actually visually inspect how my cigars look I can check on the Rh levels I can control everything temperature and it's pretty wild it also has a thermoelectric cooling system and of course I use electronic communication with back up of course so I can be away and it can run up to four months without me even being in the house and maintain a perfect Rh consistency.
Not a glass top humidor, it will leak humidity, throw the analogue hygrometer get a digital one, throw all that shit away and use bovida packs, job done.
Just bought my first humidor. these are easy directions. thx
