I would love to see a sensei bracket, that would be awesome. I’m also looking forward to a season were all the main characters are finally on the good side actually working together. I loved how they blurred the lines between good and bad in the first few seasons but I’m ready for it to all come together and finally have the classic “good guys vs bad guys” tori finally came around so all we need is for kenny to leave the dark side and we will have all our main characters that we like on the good side (screw kyler by the way, he can stay bad) and can root for them as a whole against the “faceless” bad guys of the season. When i say faceless i mean characters that we don’t have a connection with. Obviously we need to know the bad guys and they need a good story and plot but hopefully they won’t be characters that we either grow to love like tori or that we love from the start that go bad like kenny. Hopefully we can get a good set of bad guys that are great at being bad but that we also don’t want to see win that way we don’t have characters we like on the bad side of things for this season. Don’t get me wrong, i loved seeing the characters we love go dark side and seeing the ones we hate get redemption, i absolutely loved how they blurred the lines between hero and villain but I’m hoping we come full circle for this next season and go back to the traditional good vs bad, at least for this one season. Can’t wait for the new season, season five was perfect and amazing and i just can’t wait for more. COBRA KAI NEVER DIES!!!!!!

Despite being practitioners of karate for the majority of their lives, Daniel and Johnny had never heard of the Sekai Taikai. Indeed, back in 1980, Silver noted to Kreese (who also had not heard of it until that time) that while it was a big event in the world of karate competition, it was mostly unknown outside of Japan (or at least East Asia). Chozen, however, was born and raised in Okinawa. I'm sure he's heard of it, and perhaps partook in it when he was younger (e.g. before the events of KARATE KID II).

The points won in each individual match go toward a team total and the fights are full contact but without submission holds or extended ground grappling. Each fight would have a time limit to score as many points as possible instead of stopping at 3 points and a knock out or surrender forfeits all the points the loser scored.

Daniel is spoken for, but I agree that there does feel like Chozen would end up being a rebound for Kumiko. She point blank said to Daniel he's the one she wants. It would kind if suck for Chozen to be second choice. If they go for it, they'd better give it some proper screen time. Chozen needs to apologise again, say he's a fully changed man and ask for a chance to prove it. You can do the forgiveness off screen, but when it comes to starting a relationship, a knife to the throat and a slap isn't something that can be glossed over. Maybe it would be better if, as the show is wrapping up, we see Chozen chatting to/asking Kumiko if he could take her out on a date and leave it there.

I think Sam might not want to compete the way Tory does. Tory wants to prove she's strong and capable, and Sam's competition constantly has stakes, and she might want not to want to keep doing that, especially now that Tory's on their side, and she actually has a hunger for competition. Plus, she's the one that's been doing this since she was a kid, and has done it without competing in competitions the longest, so she's the one ahead of using karate without competing being a goal, instead of Tory.

I think that you are correct that Kim De Eun will be the one to have her students compete. They really don't have much of a choice at this point. Even if all of the named characters go back to Cobra Kai (Kenny, Kyler and Mitch). Kenny was beaten by Miguel already and he can only go so far now that everyone is aware of his "Silver Bullet technique". There is no way he could win the tournament, Kyler has gotten ass kicked so many times it's a meme. Miguel beat him after he just got out of a wheelchair so he's no threat. Mitch has never won a single fight on-screen ever. So they really have no choice.
At the same time imagine if Terry Silver's trial and prison grabs national attention this could finally be what brings Julie Pierce into the mix, Julie could all Daniel (Since the creators have stated that they know each other). This would also give sensei Kim an opponent (Since they seem to want to give female characters female rivals and male characters male rivals).
Imagine though if they introduced Sensei Kim's father (Kim Sung Yun's son). I think that would be an opponent for Mike Barnes since having Daniel, Johnny and Chozen is already a lot to deal with having Mike Barnes have another opponent is way better.
I would love to have a sensei bracket.

Sincce Kreese & Silver are the only ones who seem to have heard of the Sekai Taikai Im wondering if it is more in line with the "no mercy" type of fighting style (perhaps its the reason that the Miyagi-do style was created & is mentioned in the scroll Chozen gave Daniel). If that is the case, Daniel will absolutely need Johnny (aka Cobra Kai master), Mike (aka The Bad Boy of Karate) & Chozen (aka Dark Side Mr. Miyogi-- I made that up😂). It would also mean not only would the Miyagi & Eagle Claw fighters be needed, but the Cobras too. The tourney reps make it clear Daniel & Johnny needed to come up with one name for their dojo. Using fighters from all 3 dojos & creating a new style from the mixture would fit.

  • @variouspasion

I hope the people who never won wins meaning Robby and Sam. Hopefully no one ends up in a clinic room and disaster not willing to fight. We never saw the drum technique used or taught. I can see Robby using it and learned at a short scale of time just like at the skateboard background he did the double kick. As he is the first one to find the train and Daniel said to him "Be careful with that thing it saved his life." I have a feeling Robby is gonna win this tournament. If he gets taught by Daniel and use that at the final and won the tournament defeating mike Barnes, then Robby can use that to surprise his Sensi and friends , just like how he surprised larusso in first season when he signed up for the tournament and surprised him. Without Daniel and his family knowing about him signing up. Robby lost his first tournament and getting Daniel's support and forgiveness and being proud of him. This time he wins this tournament honoring Miyagi and eagle fang and has both his fathers (Johnny and Daniel)& Senesi's proud of him. With Daniel saying I told you once and I said it again I am proud you are part of this family.

Good points! Finally someone mentions this. I like to add somethint to your comment and especially point out some errors which are even here on YT about the drum.
There is a big misunderstanding when people say that Robby teached it to CK, or Miguel used it against Kyler, or even Kenny used it in the All Valley.
I wrote something about this subject and copy it over here. This is a quote from myself which i posted some months ago:
      ______________________________________
"After watching Highlights from Season 3 with Daniels daughter Samantha again, its obvious she doesnt know all things about Miyagi Do. She doesnt know what the Kanjis on the big rock in Daniels garden mean, and she also doesnt know how the drum technique "no be there" actually works, only the defense part which is deflecting the arms. The offensive part are these devastating palm strikes which Daniel punched Chozens head in in 1985.
Be it what Robby taught the Cobra Kai students, or be it what Samantha showed Miguel in Season 3 after Miguel finds the drum, this is NOT!!! the real drum technique!
This deflecting the arms seems some kind of "defense only" creation from Daniel after he became a soft car seller and businesman, since he didnt want to teach his daughter to be agressive before the events of Cobra Kai.
The real drum technique was only shown in the Daniel vs Chozen fight in 1985. And the technique was called by Miyagi himself as "the secret of M-D Karate", and he added "My father said using drum technique only as last resort."
Last resort means when your own life is on the line and its your last chance to survive, not using it in some kindergarden macho brawl or something.
Take a deep look and study the drum itself: The little white thing on the top of the little drum is a carven head of an ancient japanese Warrior (with a Samurai braid), and the little balls at the end of the two cords are symbolizing the hands."
      _________________________________________
This underlines what i mean. The real drum technique which Miyagi taught Daniel, wasnt shown in Cobra Kai yet. Only some "baby" creation from Daniel himself which he teached Samantha, and which Robby trained the CK students wo used it in the All Valley.
PS: Since head punches are ileagl, the real drum wouldnt be allowed in the All Valley.
Here on YT is a clip "Miugel uses drum technique against Kyler". No he didnt! That wasnt the real drum technique! Only the "Daniel Samantha baby version" of it.
Only to make that clear for people who wrongly believe this technique was already used or teached by anyone in the Cobra Kai show.

That way the entire dojo wins and there is no individual champion. Plus each character has a chance to be a "star". Maybe it is Robbie that has a huge victory that helps Miyagi Fang move on to the Sweet 16. And maybe Hawk has a dramatic victory that seals the win for Miyagi Fang in to send them to the Final 4. For example KK1 antagonist/ redeemed hero Cobra Kai Johnny Lawrence. He took on a kid Miguel who was getting bulled and took him under his wing like Miyagi. Same with Chozen who like Johnny went from villain to hero in Cobra Kai series. He's by Daniels side now and he too has the "I should of brought you with me moment"!!! Will Mike get a Miyagi moment in which he saves someone from Terry Silver or Kreese.

Great video and enjoy your theories 🔥
I have not really put into thought how extensive the Sekai Taikai World Tournament would be, sticking solely on a possible double elimination, one-on-one competition kind of thing.
But I am cool with a three-event competition (Skills (Weapons/Board Breaking, etc.), 3-Man Team Sparring, and One-on-One Competition) allowing each character to compete and shine in designated competitions that they are good at and specialize in, as well as appease having multiple winners without feeling diluted.
Okinawa would be too plot convenient, and Kyoto does not befit my fancy.
I personally would have the tournament be in Seoul, South Korea, into the proverbial hornet's (cobra's) nest, which would make thing far more compelling.
As for Mike Barnes' potential role in Season 6, I would have him as a chief benefactor for Miyagi-Fang's (or Bonsai) expenses to the Sekai Taikai World Tournament, in exchange for Daniel, Johnny, Chozen, and the kids' assistance/manpower to help rebuild his furniture store.
Furthermore, Barnes can teach the kids the art of psychological warfare (mostly trash talking/intimidation) for international competition, being that he was/is "The Bad Boy of Karate."
Now to explain my reasoning(s) as to how and why via my hypothetical Season 6 Arc:
I anticipate Season 6 to be the falling action/resolution/back to realism after the craziness that was/is Season 5 (be that the creators from the get-go planned the sixth season to be the final one) and the only way that I see this playing out is through The Sekai Taikai World Tournament.
I hope "The Super Bowl of Karate" takes place on foreign soil (South Korea, perhaps) which would take the cast out of The Valley (finally!) and on the world stage.
It will be so cool to see everyone out of their element and into a different metropolis and culture like Seoul, South Korea, for I feel that this may be the best approach for Season 6 after the intense drama that was/is Season 5.
Furthermore, it never sat well with me that, outside of the occasional visit to Okinawa, Japan, majority of the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai Universe takes place in The Valley.
The scenario also has me thinking that the international competition would be somewhat direct reflections and/or foils to Miguel, Robby, Sam, Tory, Hawk, and Demetri
Of course, the gang has to be on 24/7 to make sure Johnny does not incite an international incident 🤣
With Silver imprisoned, Kim Da-Eun would take the "big bad" spot (but not really), for she is still yearning to preserve her family legacy.
Terry Silver may be behind bars but he will play the shadow villain, for he has his associates and bountiful resources available on the outside.
I am pretty sure Silver will pay for the best under-18 karate champion of the world to fight for Cobra Kai (ala Mike Barnes in KK3).
Kreese returns in an anti-hero role this time, takes his vengeance against Terry by taking all his assets (somehow) and makes sure his former friend will rot in jail.
Kreese will then try to be discreet (I am pretty sure the authorities are after him) in making final amends with Johnny (especially Johnny), Daniel, Tory, Robby, etc.
It would also be interesting to witness Kreese possibly burying the hatchet of a decades-long grudge on behalf of his master, Kim Sun-Yung, with Chozen (who would be on behalf of his father, Sato) therefore bringing harmony to both dojos.
I also hope that Kreese will ease Kim's heart and help preserve her family's legacy by opening a new dojo under "The Way of The Fist" moniker in South Korea, where subsequently Kreese will reside permanently and find solace (and escape from his criminal act(s) in America).
I am sure that Hilary Swank's Julie Pierce will make her debut appearance in CK as she makes a trip from Boston (possibly a week of celebrating and/or commemorating the life of Mr. Miyagi).
There, Julie will finally meet onscreen with Daniel and the rest of the cast and crew and assists Miyagi-Fang (particularly Sam, Tory, and Devon) to find true balance and harmony for the tournament before leaving back to Boston.
Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen will continue to watch the progress of Miguel, Robby, Hawk, Demetri, Anthony, and possibly Kenny, whilst Mike Barnes, having restored his furniture business and then some (thanks to a certain Rembrandt painting), will be a major benefactor for Miyagi-Fang's trip to The Sekai Taikai World Tournament.
I anticipate a bottle episode where the OG Karate Kids (including Amanda, Ali, Jessica, and Carmen) and the Kids of "Cobra Kai" separately hang out and hash out lingering tensions and plot holes before heading out to Korea.
When the group gets to Korea, Chozen would be taken by surprise when Kumiko appears (on the behest of Daniel's call (and Chozen's drunken call 😏).
We will finally see Chozen and Kumiko together.
At the tournament, Sam will finally get her win over Tory in the Semi-Finals and subsequently, Devon will get her victory over Sam and be crowned champion.
Kenny and Anthony will finally go up against one another but with mutual respect; Anthony would win.
Demetri beats Anthony but loses to Hawk.
The paid champ of Cobra Kai beats Hawk in the Semi-Final round and Robby will beat Miguel in the other Semi-Final round.
Robbie will defeat Cobra Kai's champion to finally get his signature victory.
Carmen, who is accompanying the trip, would go into labor immediately after the tournament and gives birth to a baby girl they will call Danielle 😉.
The series ends with all the characters attending Johnny and Carmen's wedding with Peter Cetera's "Glory of Love" (1986) wrapping up the series
    Sidenote(s):
    1) I do not care for Miguel's father to show up again. I do not see any point of having that in the plot.
    2) Even if the creators decide to have Miyagi-Fang/Cobra Kai expats match up against the international competition at The Sekai Taikai World Tournament, there are some key matchups amongst said Miyagi-Fang and Cobra Kai expats that have to be made to settle some scores and lingering beef(s) before heading off for the tournament

I think he might be the same actor in 5:01 similar hair and agility. Since he was a no namer in season 1 he could just play the roll of a different more competitive fighter. His crazy capoeira and ability to do flip a no hand front flip would be entertaining to watch.

I think Kim came to work for Terry Silver not for him, but i think she was a mole sent by Kreese...Because Kreese has a relationship/friendship with her from when she was a small child...Also Kreese said Silver was going down, he just didn't know it YET...He seemed very confident and he said he had sources outside of jail and i think she was one of them...Kreese is going to run the dojo from the shadows as he is on the run from the law and she is going to be the NEW face of Cobra Kai and replace Johnny as Kreese's NEW protege..

Who says Silver is defeated? I don’t get it. He’s been able to get out of everything. He’s got connections. And there is no video of him beating up Stingray. Even if Stingray changed his story Silver will take that to court. He’s probably covered his butt.
