When Daniel and Johnny were unable to give the name of their dojo to the ST representatives I immediately thought they could do a Julie tie in - maybe they end up submitting the name MiyagiDo only to discover there is already a Miyagi Do competing from Boston - Julie's dojo.

Daniel is once again at a low point, fluting himself and feeling he failed. Until by chance, he meets Mister Miyagi’s other protege who reassured him how much their mentor loved him and had faith in him, reinvigorating Daniel.
heres how i always thought they would bring julie in, picture daniel driving out to maigys grave, when he gets there he sees a woman already there, maybe daniel thinks she is messing with the grave, he goes to tell her to get away from it, then she turn around and he remebers her
also its julie is gonna be like terry at first, she moved on doesnt really practice karate, but she comes back to help daniel win.....i can see her now as a vet or someone that works with animals, maybe a zoo worker,......she proberly goes to the grave once a year but never cross paths with daniel before

Julie Pierce comes back in a military uniform since both her grandfather and Mr. Miyagi were WWII veterans, trains Miyagi-Fang and former Cobra Kai students the same way she was trained. She does a background check on Kreese and turns out that he's Tori's long lost grandfather.

Julie can teach all the girls in Miyagi-Fang.
The best way to bring Julie in, is the fact that Silver is thinking "way beyond the valley".
That tells me he wants to open a national chain of Cobra Kai schools.
If you look to some of the real world Chicago area martial art schools and events that Cobra Kai is based off of (including the actual name "Cobra Kai", and the furniture store burning down), there was one school that started in Chicago, and then expanded to have a nationwide chain of schools..and one of its biggest branch locations was Boston.
So if Cobra Kai continues to follow real world martial arts from the 70s and 80s Chicago martial arts scene, then it only stands to reason there would be Cobra Kai in Boston...and THATS how Julie Peirce gets involved.
The other thing, is that the Sekai Taikai is just too, too big for Daniel to leave her out. One does not get into something that huge without telling all their senior classmates.
The best way to bring in JULIE PIERCE is to introduce her as the beautiful yet deadly ex wife of TERRY SILVER and the mother of their son JACK played by LEO HOWARD.
But if they are gonna bring back Hilary Swank, they'll definitely have to wait for a while before she can reprise her role as Julie since she's having her twins, which would probably be a good idea and that'll give them more time to write Season 6 and make it right.
Pray this spin-off is based on here cause Netflix projects has history of taking shows indirections they wanna go
Between Hilary Swank having her babies recently, Alaska Daily (her ABC show) getting cancelled and the writers' strike causing a delay, we just might get Julie in S6.
I also believed that Julie Pierce had crossed path with Daniel sometime after the Next Karate Kid. I guess she went to San Fernando Valley to visit and get more training with Mr. Miyagi, and it was there the she and Daniel learned the wheel technique. I think she visited the Valley again for Mr. Miyagi's funeral and she met Daniel's wife Amanda and their two kids. Maybe in season 6 we may see some footage of the two training or maybe see some photos of the two of them.
On who Julie is going to mentor in season 6 would be both Sam and Tory in teaching them how to get along, as much as Johnny try to get Miguel and Robby to get along.

I've noticed the parallels between Julie & Tory after the first ep she was introduced in. I've always said Julie would be a great mentor for Tory as well.
The big difference between Julie and Tory is that at least Julie found more constructive ways to turn away from her anger; Tori was the more hotheaded of the two.

I'm not sure why some people care about her character making an appearance in the show. Maybe they liked that film more than I did.
She didn't have any interaction with any of the characters from the Karate Kid trilogy other than Miyagi who is passed away.
I'm not sure how they can write her into the show unless Daniel has a chance encounter with her and learns that Miyagi trained her as well for a time which he would probably be interested in and would add an extra layer to the Miyagi story. Maybe Daniel will feel a little bit less special to learn that Miyagi acted as a sensei for someone else other than him. Lol

I definitely wanna see Julie Pierce return for Season 6!!! It would kinda feel like an Avengers Endgame event; all the good guys teaming up one more time!! I love this theory, and I really hope at least some of it comes to fruition!!
I would love to see John Kreese go back to Cobra Kai, teaming up with Sensei Kim and the other CK Senseis... and maybe even recruit Colonel Paul Dugan from TNKK since Michael Ironside is still alive and acting. And that could lead to Miyagi-Fang recruiting Julie as both dojos head for the ST tournament.
It'll be awesome to see the students in Miyagi-Fang being trained by 5 Senseis (Daniel, Johnny, Chozen, Mike and Julie)!!

I loved the next karate kid and always will it’s my favorite franchise of all time and the show has been like the sequels we didn’t know we wanted but needed lol it’s so perfect I hope she comes back!!

The story edge from Julie to Tory I’ve always thought about. Julie CAN bridge a further truce between Sam and Tory as well. Julie can take Kim too.
Maybe they'll do teasers of Julie and other promos of The Sekai Taikai to promote S6? Much like they did with the promotional side of S4 with those return of Silver and All-Valley 2019 promos. Surely they'll do a better job at promoting S6 than what they did with S5 anyway lol
just a thought.... Miyagi's birthday is June 9th. The tournament is going to have to be in the summer when the kids are out of school. Maybe Julie visits Mr Miyagi's grave on his birthday and runs into Daniel. What her role could be after that is anyone's guess.

Julie training Danial for the Sekai Taikai, if there is a Sensei bracket, would be so wholesome. I imagine Daniel would be facing off against Silver or one of his Sensei goons and I bet you Julie would teach Daniel that technique she learned from Miyagi where she blocks attacks from all sides with a blindfold in the next karate kid, proving to Silver that if a man can't see he CAN fight by using his/her other senses.

@@wolfcorpse I don't think Daniel knows about that technique. Like we found out in season 3, Miyagi didn't teach Daniel everything because Miyagi thought he wasn't ready.

I don’t think Julie will be back. Hillary Swank is too big a name. She won two Acadamy Awards for Best Actress for Boys Don’t Cry (1999) and Million Dollar Baby (2004). She currently plays the lead part in the TV series Alaska Daily and on top of that she’s expecting twins. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s trying to forget that The Next Karate Kid even exists.

WATCHPARTY: 😊😊❤❤I absolutely agree that this would be a great way for Julie to come in. Having a Sensei’s bracket makes a lot of sense because it is going to be way different from All Valley. I know that I myself can compare the Seiki Teiki with the All Valley (The all valley is really the only tournament that I have seen & I don’t really have anything else to compare it too) but I also keep very heavily in mind what you said about how it might not just solely be determined by the students this time (though I am still hoping that Sam and Robby do get a big enough win individually in their own brackets that it throws a wrench in Cobra Kai chances of winning and thereby having the sensei’s bracket be what determines the winning dojo between Miyagi Fan and Cobra Kai). I also agree that having Julie would be a great way to bridge the gap between Sam & Tory because she herself comes from both sides of the coin in regards to to the two of them, but however I think that since Chozen was the one that introduced Miyagi Do to Tory in S5 he will be the one that that trains Tory (mainly) Great Video I think that this is definitely one of my favorites

I heard some filming for Season 6 was done way before the show's confirmation. But I highly doubt Hillary Swank was involved, and they're going to really have to hold things off if they plan on her being in the show at all, due to her having twins, and all too.

I don't think Julie Pierce will come back. Hillary Swank will need some serious rest, at her age, after delivering twins. Plus, she has a show to shoot in Alaska. If Julie Pierce comes back, in Cobra Kai, it will be as a memory or an evocation of her name or a video chat at best. I doubt she will appear as a main character in Cobra Kai. She most likely will appear in a spin-off of Cobra Kai with Peyton List or Jacob Bertrand evolving as MMA Fighters, or at the end or the beginning (as a flash forward) of the prequel of Miyagi.
It’d be up to Hilary, or Hilary’s agent as to whether Julie comes back. From what I have heard in interviews, she is not due to March or April. They probably wouldn’t stray shooting CK until probably June or July. Alaska Daily is filmed in Vancouver and probably has a different filming schedule. She could film CK… fingers crossed she does!
If Julie joined, then the Season 6 would air December 2024 at best! :D

Julie Pierce was briefly married to
Terry Silver until he raped her and she threw him off a building, which resulted in their bitter divorce and the birth of their son Jack played by Leo Howard.
Technically Daniel and Julie were not Miyagi's first students to learn Miyagi-Do; Julie's grandfather was Miyagi's first student who in turn trained Julie's father who trained her until he and his wife died(as was explained in TNKK) which left Julie incomplete with her karate lessons. Miyagi's students: No.1 Mr. Pierce Sr. No. 2 Daniel La Russo. No. 3 Julie Pierce.
Miyagi-Fang Sensei team: Daniel, Johnny, Chozen, Barnes, Bobby and Julie.

The SEKAI TAIKAI TOURNAMENT is basically the KUMITE a full-contact marital arts event is indeed held at a private location once every five years. The event is sponsored by the International Fighting Arts Association (I.F.A.A.)

I read in some theories that Daniel LaRusso either met Julie Pierce at one point, or at least know of her through Mr. Miyagi. So in Season 6, if there's a story saying that he kept in touch with her all those years, that could be a great way to write her in for the final season.
Martin Kove as John Kreese was given the honor of introducing the character of Terry Silver into the show. Now Thomas Ian Griffiths should have the honor of introducing Julie Pierce and The Alpha Elites into the series.
There has to be a purpose for Julie Pierce to return to the miyagi verse but I do agree with your one Theory that she can train and Mentor the girls tournament but especially tory Nichols I really want to see a fight between Julie Pierce and sensei kim da eun

I hope she at least gets a cameo or a Zoom call with Daniel. The movie was very mediocre, but I remember liking the character of Julie when I was a kid.
If S5 was how they made KK3 a bit better(even Ralph had said he has a little more respect for it) can you imagine how they would do that for S6 with TNKK? But I’m really hoping it would be more than just a cameo, Hilary(although she was probably sick of be asked if she would do CK by her fans and media)seemed to show a tad bit of interest in bringing her character back.
Pray the spin-off is based on her. Because Netflix is taking over after season 6 ends and creating a spin-off.

Plus they brought back the Cobras in Season 2. Jimmy, Tommy and Bobby. And they would have Brought Dutch had the actor wanted to return!
One thing is for sure, this series has created multiple spinoff opportunities, which is a testament to the strength of its new characters.
Maybe a Netflix film in 5 years or a full series in 10-15 years. If that is the case, this final season will need to set the stage. John Snow going North allowed Snow to spinoff.
Maybe Hawk moves to Japan? Or Tory? There needs to be a hook which allows the story to continue. Rambo did this nicely.
Most probably there will be some open doors for spin offs in the end. The writers know what they are doing, and they already made hints they like to share more stories from the Karate Kid universe. This Season will only mark the end of the year 2018 and 2019 in the Valley, and it will explain now once and for all the open questions about unanswared things, which are like:
- will Silver stay evil, be redeemed or die on cancer?
- will Kreese stay evil, be redeemd or something else?
- do we finally see the face of Tory s mom? I only say so much: Should she and her sister Kandace (Tory s aunt) be twin sisters and look 1-1 the same, then i am very positive to know who Tory Nichols really is, and that she has indeed a yet unknow blood relation to one of the characters;
- were there foreshadowings in the previous Seasons for what will happen in the final Season (remember for example when Miguel asked Sam what the Kanjis on the rock in Daniel s garden mean, and Sam said she doenst know, so what do they mean? Or in Season 3 for example we saw the foreshadowing as WP pointed out, how Silver was able to expose Chozen, when Chozen said "Kari" instead of "Kompai", i mean Kumiko told Daniel in Okinawa they dont say Kompai but Kari instead);
...etc.
And all these things and more will come to a conclusion, like the writers announced.
PS: Of course not anything means something, but someone remembered me on something which i forgot: In The Next Karate Kid Julie saved "a Hawk". So if she should save Eli "Hawk" in Season 6 at some point (maybe Hawk gets ambused by Daeun or so and Julie takes on Daeun), it would be a funny thing since Julie indeed saved a Hawk in TNKK.
@@chrisbach1533 that’s all very interesting and an excellent breakdown of what might happen. I didn’t remember the hawk in Next Karate Kid. I don’t know if Julie comes back. The fan nostalgia is not there for her character. I wanted Chozen for S5 and what we got was a ridiculous character who was nothing like the man we knew he was. I’d prefer Barnes developing more in S6 and getting the Hawk and Johnny we had from S1-4 than adding more people.
@@taylorhackford True they made Chozen a bit soft in Season 5. But it was this new enviroment. He wasnt used to the American life, and it made him soft. But thats only human. The writers had to find a way how to make the Silver fight closer. A 100% Chozen would most probably have broke him apart like a rotten branch. Around S3, a lot of people (including myself) felt Robby would be the best one to move to Japan and study under Chozen. Nowadays, I think he's matured enough that he doesn't need it.

I would never try to suggest it lives up to any of the original trilogy but I actually enjoy The Next Karate Kid. It’s the last time we see Mr. Miyagi and he is perhaps at the height of his badassery lol
Short answer: she won't!
This is the last season, Cobra Kai should get the two hour episode treatment Stranger Things got in season 4. You can build more story with longer episodes.

In TNKK it was said Miyagi had taught Mr. Pierce Sr. Karate; I wonder why Miyagi lied to Daniel that there had been no one before him he taught Karate to?
All the top Okinawan Karate asters, including Chojun Miyagi that Mr Miyagi was modeled after, traveled to China to study Kung Fu. A Kung fu style that's symbol is snake & crane with a yin yang backdrop symbolizing balance is Wing Chun. A similar connection will be made with Miyagi Do & the new combined Dojo will sport a similar patch but with an Eagle instead of a crane. This is where some Jackie Chan Karate Kid connection will be drawn for another movie that connects to some of the cast of cobra kai.
Make this happen. Bring Back Julie Pierce.

Ahhh love these theories but...will Hilary Swank be able to return to the dojo with her pregnancy/post-pregnancy situation going?
I'd surely like to see Julie come back, even if I can still take or leave her doing so. Hopefully there's also still an ever so slight chance that Dutch may return while that actor has one final chance to reprise his iconic role as him, even if it'll only be a cameo appearance too.
I’m not ready for CK to end. But if it must, I simply ask for one thing… - that S6 is staggered. 1-2 eps a week max.
I want to damn well savour my nostalgia. I want the conversation to continue for weeks & months as the show releases. We need time to soak it in and to analyse it.
It’s a simple ask and it doesn’t affect Netflix’s bottomline.

I would prefer Julie Pierce return as a villain. I do think Chozen will be absent for most of the series until he makes his surprise return at the tournament, in which he will be accompanied by Kumiko. Also making his surprise return at the tournament will be Terry Silver, after Silver will have fled the country after bailing out of jail and/ or will have beaten the charges against him. Cobra Kai will die, but not after a wager st the tournament will either keep it in the possession of Kim or Johnny and or Kreese. Kreese will make a comeback to help Johnny and Daniel because of his influence, he will know how to defeat them. Kreese could have a showdown with Kreese, but since Kreese is the better fighter, an intervention from someone or something will cause Kreese to win. I truly hope the producers do not kill anyone off because it limits them in terms of any possible future spin-offs. It should an interesting, and something in the end should keep the door open for any future endeavors for shows and/ or movies. Obviously Chozen should star in the next Karate something movie as the next Mr. Miyagi type of sensei.

It would be a most intriguing plot twist to have Oscar winner Hillary Swank portray Julie Pierce as a conflicted semi-villainess in opposition to Johnny, Chozen and Mike turning from bad to good. Unfortunately, some fans really want her to be The Mary Poppins of Miyagi Do. A predictable guest appearance by Hillary as sweet and bland heroine Julie may have the negative effect of reminding audiences just how terrible a flop The Next Karate Kid was.
Honestly I think it would be funny if for some reason Jaden Smith showed up as his character from the latest Karate Kid reboot as a suddenly canon character somehow 😂. That way we could legitimately say that EVERY karate kid movie was in tho show (even tho he knows kung fu)

WATCHPARTY: This is a question that I was just wondering, but you know how pretty much all of the main students have developed a really close relationship with their Sensei’s that they have come to see them as parental figure that they have needed and wanted (Johnny with Miguel, Daniel with Robby, Kreese with Tory) but my question is as much as I love the father-daughter relationship that Sam and Daniel have with each other, what Sensei could you see her having a sort of niece relationship with as opposed to an honorary parent one like the others, which Sensei do you think that she could potentially have that sort of bond with: Julie (honorary Aunt figure and niece) or Chozen (honorary uncle figure and niece)?

If Daniel teams up with anyone to help with the Seiki Teiki it will be Mike Barns because he has been in those tournaments before
I loved your theory on how to bring Julie Pierce into cobra Kai. I just hope that we can see her in the final season. i’ve always would like to see her and Daniel talking about their Miyagi moments with each other. I would just love to see the two Miyagi students finally together on the screen I think that would be really awesome and I would love to see her talk to Sam and Tori. so that is the one thing I hope that we get in season six if we get to see Hillary swank play her role as Julie Pierce and Cobra Kai in the final season. 6:20

Bit of a tricky one. On one hand, the demand for Julie to appear in CK is greater than ever, as this is their final chance to make it happen. So you'd think they'd want to deliver on that to keep the fans happy.
On the other hand, they tend to avoid predictability and popularized fan theories in order to remain fresh and original to set up shocks and twists. Knowing those 3, I imagine they'll somehow find a way of achieving both :)

It has been widely reported on RUclips that Hilary Swank might appear in season 6 of Cobra Kai... Despite this, we haven't seen any news or videos of Hillary even considering being part of the sixth season of Cobra Kai to complete the series of "The Karate Kid" movies. Hilary Swank would be a great addition to the series, and I would be curious to see if she still has her karate chops and boxing skills.

I had a theory of my own about how Julie and Daniel were connected.
Maybe sometime after the 4th movie Mr. Miyagi found time to introduce Julie and Daniel to each other before he died. He died like a decade before the show started so they must've had a good 15 or 20 years to get to know eachother. Anyway what if Mr. Miyagi introduced both his students to each other and they had like a nice, good brother/sister relationship maybe even train together. They both might've even went to his funeral together. And I have know trouble believing she'll pop up wherever we least expect. AFTER ALL, no one expected Daniel's wife to be related to his 3rd ex girlfriend? RIGHT??!

Daniel ask her to join Miyagi do karate as a sensei to compete in the sensei bracket women’s division. She thinks about it and gets back to him. They start training together and the rest is history.

I had a dream last night that I was in a Cobra Kai Season 6 production meeting. I saw Xolo, Mary, Tanner, Zabka and Ralph. Then I went to another area and watched a scene that Xolo is reviewing. I am transported into the scene which shows Miguel fighting a creature that resembles a mini Mindflayer from Stranger Things. He slams it to the ground and there is an image of someone's face. At first I think it is Miguel's dad but I actually don't recognize it. Kind of resembles Bill Paxton. Then we are all running up a street looking for our cars in a couple of shopping plaza parking lots. Tanner is there and some other guy I don't recognize. Then I woke up. You're welcome. :)

Do a search on world karate tournaments held in Japan. You will find that Karate, at that level, has all kinds of age brackets, all the way up to 55+ seniors divisions. This means that any characters who are now over 18, can fight....any of them...even the sensie's

Is to remember Julie was Trained at a Buddhist Monetary, where she befriended the monks. She unlike Daniel truly learned more about the internal martial arts and especially about spiritual/mental/emotional balance something most of the male Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang and Miyagi Do Sensei's failed to learn (except maybe Chosen) Perhaps if the actress is still Pregnant her character is also pregnant, but brought in to teach the eagle fang/Miyagi Do students about the mental/spiritual side of martial arts to help them face any fears and anxieties or anger.
