Yo dude I appreciate the video. I accidentally took the cover of the vacuum pump off while doing a valve cover job on a 99 vw cc sport tsi and couldn’t figure out how to get the three metal pieces back where they belong. This helped a lot.

the vacuum pump was leaking oil on the used motor i just installed. took off the cover to find the vane is in the shape of a v and lots of damage to the cover. good to know it should be straight

That is crazy! We have never seen one of these fail. I would suspect an oil pressure / feed to the pump issue if it failed in such a way.

Hi, when replacing/rebuilding the vacuum pump, is it required to remove the HPFP as well? I could not find any videos of the actual removal/install of the 2.0T TSI vacuum pump (mine is leaking for my 2011 CC)

Did you figure this out? Seems like you do need to remove the hpfp

You definitely need to remove the hpfp. There are only two T30 bolts holding it in place and the high pressure fuel line which I believe requires a 17mm spanner. There is a video made by the humble mechanic on how to remove and reinstall this.

Can you do a video on EGR valve delete & plug kits? EGR puts soot back in the engine reducing MPGs, reducing the lifespan of internal components, increases carbon buil up, adds unnecessary weight, & reduces oxygen intake thus reducing power... It's actually counterintuitive for emissions because it destroys car parts.

Was there a lot of smoke comming out from the engine near the high fuel pump. Also a lot of smoke from the exhausts, and not engine light on? Thats my problem right now. Hoping its the vacuum pump.
