- The failure rate of the 2.0T TSI intake flap is high. But VW has updated the part with something that looks to solve the intake runner flap issues. This can apply to many VW 2.0t TSI engines and Audi 2.0t TSI engines

Or just stop buying VW to force them build better cars.
You do some nice editing Charles. As you may remember I don't own a German made car but I do have a German wife. I'm still looking for a fix.
plastic intake manifold in a turbo application... what a joke VW is.
Used to have a 2010 Audi A5. I will never buy another Audi/VW cars ever again. That car was in the shop more than 10 times for various problems during my 4 year ownership.
hey, HumbleMachanic, if you want to know if the plastic is different, there should be a marking on it, European companies are usually really good about marking them. I saw in the video that the new one is PA6-GF30 meaning it is nylon that is glass filled 30%. That is the same stuff good power tools is made out of, it is very stong.
What’s your thoughts on the aluminium manifolds from ECS or IE as a substitute to these new ones?
Is this a recalled part
Dude my mom has a 2013 tiguan I changed the mf plugs cleaned the throttle body changed a coil put all fuses and it's still misfiring I'm thinking it's this right here
Thank you so much! Been having issues on and off for a year and this allowed me to figure out that it was the actuator arm broke from the flaps creating a large vacuum leak. Having you mention the extended warranty saved me big bucks too. Thanks again!
😊thank to the Info
you and Paul are great resources for nearly all things VAG. more than just showing how it's done, you guys take the time to explain failures and common issues to great lengths so your viewers and owners can understand them; pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that we really appreciate that time and devotion you guys offer to your viewers and communities.
Man, since getting my Audi/VW A4, I been watching your videos religiously! Thanks for all the work you do. I am surprised you don't have anywhere near a million subscribers. I know I will be linking your videos on my Facebook for sure!
Hey there, I dont know if you're reading these still but you just saved me big time. I had a coolant leak when I was out of town. I didn't have the proper tools and couldn't seem to locate the source. It was leaking too bad to travel and it was too far to tow home so I took it to a shop with a lot of good reviews. I was told it was the water pump and it cost me a good chunk of money to get it repaired but when I got the car back it was pulling the p2015 code. Of course the car had 130,000 miles and that's only covered to 120,000.
Charles, You always fill videos with so much information they have helped me in ways I assume you never really imagined. Thank you for the videos you have created over the years which have been so helpful even if the primary content of the videos is not what helped me in my research! Sometimes comments you make in the videos have helped me to understand something I was trying to figure-out on my own as a "thrifty VW DIY mechanic"! This one, for instance, helped me to understand that the runners hyperextend when the throttle is wide-open, go beyond their stops and create the sensor fault...a condition fixed by the new manifold design... but I used the ECS intake manifold repair kit, properly applied (thanks to one of your comments) to my intake to fix the P2015 problem I was having. I have other examples of how you have helped me... if you ever desire feedback.
dude I've spent the last 2 months trying to figure out whats wrong with my tig and been using my 2020GLI toy as my daily, this is exactly what I've been looking for since doing a smoke test. Can't thank you enough. Liked and Subbed Brother!!!!
Thanks for the love!!!
Just wanted to say thanks for the video. My MKV came up with the p2015 code and the dealership replaced it for free under warranty. Would have never known if it wasn’t for your video. I appreciate it. Also your video helped me switch out the pcv with little to no trouble (dropping the torx bolt into the engine bay) keep up the good work. I’m about to switch out the upper timing chain cover because now that’s leaking. 😕
Great video again Humble Mechanic ,so glad my GtI mk7.5 has all the updates you have shown here ,some of them are visible .
If you look carefully in the video between about
I appreciate you brother, I'm an ex mechanic but still dabble quite a bit. Your videos are killer!!!! Thanks to you and Paul and DAP for the info on the updated manifold!!!!! DAP and DUB on.....
