Great video. Especially for people that have experience with cars but not this specific job. Short enough, but gets to the main points and covers all the steps. Thanks!
I'm in the same situation, doing my water pump. 2 of the injectors came off on the intake side. So do I have to reseal the fuel injectors before putting them back in?
You mentioned swapping it over to the newer design - was the new design a major reason for change over ? - apart from the potential walnut cleaning of intake valves - cheers - in addition would you suggest changing out the water pump to the aftermarket metal pumps - all whilst taking the intake apart ? - final question - at what intervals do you on your personal vehicles, clean the intake valves? - as always - great videos
Nice job! I pulled the intake manifold on my 18 Q5 to clean the intake valves. Only thing that was really a pita were those stupid plugs on the bottom back side of the manifold. Not enough room to get the bracket unscrewed and couldn’t figure out how to release the connectors from the bracket other than eventually got lucky and they popped off.
@@EuropeanAutoRepair Yep, those 2 or 3 on the bracket that you unscrewed here. I just couldn’t get an angle to unscrew them on the longitudinal setup. At least no worries with the injectors on the gen 3 motors.
Can someone help me with a p2008 code check engine light came on after a water pump replacement on a 2012 VW CC sport 2.0 what could have been done wrong ?
@@EuropeanAutoRepair thanks for this info yeah sometimes taking lots of connectors on and off and bolts etc it can get kinda tricky maybe that’s what I left off I’m checking this now thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for this. But … Any tips if one of the injectors comes off on the cylinder head and the other 3 come off on the manifold? Happened to me. Guy on the far left stayed on. Having trouble re-seating.
I would unplug the ones that are stuck on head side and with the manifold and harness out of the way pull that injector out of the head and install it onto the fuel rail at the same angle as the other ones that are still on the intake side.
Great video helped a ton, kinda late to the video but we are all the way to the point of putting the support bracket back in, but Everytime we get the m10 in the hole and start to thred it, it seems to stop after not even two rotations. Any tips on how to get the support brace back in so it doesn't cross thread?
@@JpGarza-tu6dx my homemade walnut blaster needs to be more refined. It cleaned up a lot but not bone clean. Replaced the air intake too. Lots of work for this job. I have my mk5 GTI to do next, hopefully soon before the winter. Good luck with yours.
Please can you do a video on injector removal concerns and techniques, please - and do you look at replacing or rebuilding used injectors when you remove intake manifolds ? - I ask this as you mentioned you got lucky this time on the removal of the intake - again - cheers
Next time I remove injectors I’ll make a video about that, good thought, I don’t clean valves at a intervals honestly, I wait for the intake to come off for other reasons or wait until a cold start stumble is felt, as far as water pumps go it’s definitely easier with the intake out of the way and I do recommend switching to a aluminum housing as they have been holding up with better, with you want to do it preventative is just a preference as far as how much money you want to spend to potentially save time in the future

I appreciate that!
Best video so far. I’m doing my water pump but some of the videos are all over the place.
Glad it was helpful for you!

Nice to see a little longer, more detailed video, especially VW/Audi. Thank you.
Thanks for watching, I need to stop being lazy and make more longer procedure videos I’m thinking too much
Probably the best video how to so far on a 2.0 l tsi volks
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this, i have a 2013 Beetle but it looks exactly the same.
Should be pretty much same procedure, no problem!

I think I know the connector you’re talking about, they can be a fight, thanks for watching!

all that just to get to the fuel pressure sensor
Is it normal for this much oil to flow from the intercooler pipe?
Yeah, always some oil in the charge pipes

Make sure the plug on the intake runner position sensor that’s located off the intake manifold behind the oil filter is plugged in
