    Hi. I didn't see or hear the 20 NM on the vacuum pump in the video. That seems like a lot for an M6 screw?

    • @operationoverhaul
      @operationoverhaul  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, you are correct. Someone in comments notified me that the torque specs were incorrect. Prodemand shows the wrong spec on that and the correct specs are 9nm not 20. I did contact them to let them know that it was incorrect and I actually think that it has been corrected now.

    I’m surprised there’s no Schrader valve to press to release the high pressure fuel pump psi. Or maybe there is, but you did that part off camera?

    • @operationoverhaul
      @operationoverhaul  5 месяцев назад +1

      There is no Schrader valve on this engine according to the service data I found and I even looked online and found the answer to be no. It would make things easier

    I'm very confused with mine. It's leaking non stop due to stripped threads. Going to be drilling them out and replacing with a heli coil here soon but the bottom bolt closest to the front side has oil coming out of the thread. Is that normal? And I don't have that back bracket for the other bottom bolt is that needed? I hope you can help me out here, cars been sitting for to long because of this issue.

    • @operationoverhaul
      @operationoverhaul  Месяц назад

      You do not have to have the bracket but it does hold some stuff. Also if there is oil leaking from the threads it may be cracked to the inside of the head. That could be an issue.

      @@operationoverhaul Yea I'm not to sure. 160 compression on every cylinder so I wouldn't think I'd have a cracked head yk.

    Good evening friend, very good video, would this cause an oil leak?

    • @operationoverhaul
      @operationoverhaul  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you bri much and yes, these can cause oil leaks. Also, check you cam sensor seal on the front of the engine for one as well. They can leak to the back of the valve cover making it look like a vacuum pump

  • @Addison0526

    Great vid dude. Would this cause the oile to smell of fuel? cheers

    • @operationoverhaul
      @operationoverhaul  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you and no this would not cause the oil to have a fuel smell. Normally that could be a sign of a sticking injector, rings going bad (but that would cause excessive smoking from the muffler), and maybe a few other internal problems. These are just a few things that pop up first in my head. How bad is the fuel smell?

    • @gee3883
      @gee3883 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@operationoverhaul Hey thanks for the response dude. It's pretty bad , but I have done some digging and found out it could possibly be the O ring on the fuel pump.I am planning on pulling the intake manifold to clean the tops of the valves so I will replace all O rings on the injectors at the same time. When I got the gasket there were 3 gaskets clamp together and only one of them matched the color of old one with cylicone on it. So I pealed it fromt he others and replaced it. After done, my sone drove it and when he came back, oil was leaking and smoke coming out of th engine from the oil. My question is, should I had used all three gaskets or the issue is somewhere else? Thanks!

    • @operationoverhaul

      They should be a multi-layer gasket. You were suppose to use all of them together. I would get another one and re-do the job. Also, make sure that the tabs are not pushed down around the bolt holes.
