RGC and EAL literally have created a diary we can all visualize and relate to . I love how it accentuates history, blends the creativity of the sport into a vibrant understanding of not just golf but the landscape around it. These videos really makes you want to play, be better, and with these vlogs creates a distinct understanding at how difficult these courses are for pros let alone the average golfer. Idk, maybe I’m rambling, but it’s something unique and special. Glad to be apart of the RGC family, thank you for all your hard work into giving us this content i truly mean that. Keep it real 17b
The melantronic music playing in the background as the wind flaps around Eric, sets the scene of a lost man, out in the wilderness, just trying to find his way safely home (preferably by under 90 strokes). Superb content, best in category by miles. 🙌🏻
Thanks Eric for sticking in there and showing us these - we know it’s not easy. The content has always been brilliant but the production quality has just gone through the roof!!
This is best of of the EAL series to date, raw, honest and humble. EAL playing from the tips and living up to every PGA players statement as to what a good single digit golfer would shoot on a major course….a lot! Some would edit or play another 9, but showing a rough, reality round is great to see in the social media world. Good on ya EAL!
Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best golfing content on youtube at the moment. Extremely jealous of these unreal courses and never routed for someone to break 90 so much
For everyone on the RGC team, from HR to marketing to product design to production - this is a passion that is fueled by a love for community and golf. Thanks for noticing Aiden! E
The content lately has been incredible, but I can't help but miss the more personal feeling content back when this channel was the Erik Anders Lang channel instead of Random Golf Club Films. I think it would be awesome if you could launch a second channel where we could get some more behind-the-scenes and off-the-cuff content! I would love that.
These videos reunited me with golf after 8-year separation. Now more stoked than ever. Erik & the team better get Oscar or at least a Nobel prize for creating this channel and doing such an incredible job spreading the stoke. Much love from Norway.
Erik's demeanor might be the only reason he makes the turn.. RGC's content the last month has been absolute fire, and even though EAL's getting beat up, he's making it interesting to watch!
Ive only recently found your channel in the past month, but i am now up to date with all the vids and have now picked up my clubs and started playing again after an 8 year break! Thank you for being my Catalyst
This was amazing. EAL is Bourdainian in his delivery and his connection to the viewer It makes the experience real and gives the viewer a sense of empathy. Add to it the sound design where the wind becomes a character in and of itself. The wind almost responds to his strikes and gives us a sense of the difficulty and impact as the imagery of the course does for each bunker and hazard. Can't wait for Torrey and more of the major championship coverage.
The intro - fantastic! The golf - getting better! The positive attitude the last couple holes - huge! The outfit - On point! The back 9 - so your telling me there’s a chance! Love everything that you are doing!
Oh man Erik, respect for giving this a go, incredibly tough conditions. I can only imagine what it must be like to have to go through that with all the cameras etc. We all know how the feeling just leaves you when things start to go wrong. The mental torture, the self doubt, then that birdie! 🐦 she keeps you coming back. Good luck for the back 9!
Used to think EAL was up there with the better RUclips golf channels. But now these guys are on a league of their own. You've stepped it up a notch EAL & crew. No one creates golf content like you do 🙏 The storytelling, quality of sound & video. All makes up for a great entertainment. Can't get enough of it. Looking forward to the latest Break90 !
My graduation gift was being able to play the Ocean Course last year. We got rained out after hole 8, so I will live vicariously through you and this series!! great stuff as aways, Erik.
Absolute fire coming from EAL and RGC lately! Started watching your videos about a year ago and I'm absolutely hooked on golf. The best thing is my wife is now hooked on the RGC page and is taking lessons to get into golf so we can go together! Thank you!
They did it again 🔥😍!! A true representation of not only the average golfer, but what it takes to win on a championship course! Please EAL and RGC, continue to do this!!
The quality of this film is unrivaled. Love intro, angles everything about it. EAL 1 million subs by the end of the year. Love to get inside looks at these courses. Gotta love Hole 4, par 4, 4 footer and +4 for the snowman haha.
I was fortunate enough to play here in February. It's insane how different hole #1 and a lot of the course looks compared to then. All that water on the right on Hole #1 was sandy waste area you could hit from (like streamsong black ish) and it made it a much easier start than this seems for Erik. Pullin for ya Erik. Thanks for putting yourself through these for us EAL!! Some of my favorite content ever
Man life is hard. So is golf. Especially from the tips at the hardest course on earth. I really appreciate this exposure to how hard this shit is. I’ll be damned if I ever understand why that one great shot or that birdie on 8 always brings us back. I’ve been trying to translate that appreciation for the good shots/holes to everyday accomplishments, and it helps a lot :)
Was lucky enough to play the Ocean Course a few years ago on a trip from Scotland - it was an absolute joy! This just brought it all back. Great stuff!
Paused one minute in to comment on the epic camera work in the intro, production value through the roof EAL I hope you take care of your guys because we appreciate them 🤤
Pete Dye is like the villain in the Saw movies. He creates a contraption that is nearly impossible to conquer. Then, next thing you know, you’re sawing your arm off to stay under 120. 😅😅😅
I fist pumped when you birded 8! Keep fighting, like the caddie said most people have never played in that kind of wind. Thanks for the awesome videos EAL.
I know these are frustrating for you, but please keep doing them! The content is awesome, and it gives such great context for the difficulty of the courses!
Sick video, shot so beautifully. Every Break 90 video I remember back to EAL at the Scottish saying “Pros and Amateurs play two different games”. These video show that amazingly, why do we play for score if we don’t have to?! Had this conversation while playing with my girlfriend the other day, “Why do I care what I shoot?” that same hole I walked off with a par and said “Okay, I’m back on track.” MADDENING. 😅
I love these, EAL - crushes. Stoked to see sponsored videos too - keep it coming and keep the caddies no BS and legit! So fun to watch. "So you telling me there's a chance?!"
EAL, SIMON, the RGL team, y’all are killing it. Would I love to apply to every role at RGL? Yes, but don’t live in TX, so I will live through these videos and pray I get to play with EAL one day. Your vibe is epic, the GC compasses every. Single. Thing, Us amateurs love about it. Golf is hard, respect it. And you sir, do exactly that.
Well done EAL! Reminds me of playing with two single handicappers on the Noordwijkse (links course from 1915 in The Netherlands) in similar wind conditions - we had to quit on the 14th hole. Everyone had run out of balls: lost 17 balls between us! Had some good beers and laughs afterwards!
Wow! What an amazing, and let's be honest, brutally humbling course! Thanks for showing us how a pretty decent amateur golfer stands up to that iconic place.
Erik, like others on here, I too think you were hitting it well. That wind was extreme. Only things you could have improved; club selection, hitting some knockdowns and stingers to combat the wind and your misses were in the wrong spots. Thanks for sharing the carnage. I think we can all identify with that feeling of "it's not so hard" as your short term memory saves you from the perspective of your entire round. All you need is one birdie.
Honestly watching these makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Happy to know that I am not that only one who struggles with this game we love. :D Where days go and I can't find a fairway to save my life but sad that I'm probably never going to see all of these great courses (either due to exclusivity or price). Don't get me wrong, I am appreciative of the content and I think it is done incredibly well. Just makes me wish I had more skill and time and resources to go on some of these adventures myself.
Ya absolutely. Pebble was the hardest bc it was new to me. Now I know that you don’t really care if I break 90, so I feel less pressure. In fact, that’s all who and it has taught me quite a bit about why I play the game, why I got into it and what I love the most about it. And it ain’t the scorecard. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a great triumphant aspect.. But I play for peace mixed with challenge. Not the other way around.
