- In Today's video we are starting a new golf series! Grant Horvat, George Bryan, and Wesley Bryan take on Major Championship golf courses and try to make The Cut. Today we are playing Kiawah Island's Ocean Course, the host of the 2021 PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson won this event at -5 under par. The cut was +5 over par!

I don’t know if I speak for everyone but I really do feel like these longer form strokeplay videos are the best form of golf content out there. Love seeing this stuff from yourself and Kwon. No gimmicks or handicaps just good golf. Awesome production too.

This video REALLY shows the difference in being a PGA tour player. Wesley is just a different breed when it truly comes down to it.
And currently he's not even a really good PGA tour player. That's why it makes me laugh when people think RUclips golfers could compete on tour. They would have no shot.
True, but look at all the good players that shot 78-79. DJ, Fleetwood,Kim. Hard course. Hard conditions.
And also, the course was just not set up for a major. They’d have the greens so much quicker etc. wish they’d have mentioned that in vid cause a lot of people won’t have a clue about that
@@ronshd7769Wesley just got 2nd at a tour event. George, a RUclips golfer, made the cut at a PGA event. I would agree most RUclips golfers can't, but there's a few out there who can.

The next people would be luke Kwon and his new crew. These normal youtube golfers won't make it. You saw it in the myrtle beach qualifier. They flirted with tour conditions and shot severely over par. I love watching their videos but they aren't even close to tour golf
I really like this version of Wesley. I know it’s funny when he’s winding up his opponents but when he’s relaxed and being supportive he’s a really good dude.

Rewound it and slowed it down because I thought it was his but it was a yellow ball. Crazy fescue down there
I thought for a moment it was George’s. But he shot a white one from the T. He must have had this on his radar. Still hit his ball very well. Amazing!
I know several caddies out there. They always tell me how many balls people want to bring with them because the course is so tough. 1 guy brought out some insane number like he planned on losing 5 balls every hole. They told him to empty his bag and only take a dozen because if they have to look for his ball they will find 4-5 trying to find it. George was pretty much standing on that ball and probably didn't see it.
And zero acknowledgement of it either. They had to notice that thing pop out of there.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for taking us along with you on your rounds. Not whining, mind you, but I suffered a significant spinal injury last October on a structure fire so my days on a firetruck and on a course are over, but being able to watch you guys in a more informal atmosphere almost makes me feel like I am tagging along on the back of the cart. I live in Charleston, and I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching the ocean course giving people fits
I hope this series goes crazy. I feel like some creators think we want to see crazy formats and challenges when in reality i feel like we mainly want to see golfers that are better than us navigate a stroke play round and take it seriously. I LOVE this series and shoutout to the producers because videos this long have to take forever to edit together.

Was able to play this course last month, was such an awesome experience. Makes watching this video a lot more fun. Pulled a birdie on hole 1 and shot a 98 lol. Coming back to the clubhouse on the last handful of holes is no joke if there is wind! The greens were no joke either, very compact, couldn't get anything to stay.
Grant's giggle on the 2nd hole while saying "Wesley's in a bush" was hilarious and foreshadowing for a crazy round!
GAME TIME BOYS
One of the most unrated facts about public vs tourney golf is the fact that Grants opening tee shot 100000% stays in play if there are fans. Also probably doesn't have a terrible lie either. These add up a lot and pretty overlooked with public vs tourney golf.
They also have spotters, rough trodden down, hence they bomb and gouge, don’t worry where they hit it
On the flip side tho in tournament play the greens are so much faster plus the tees are way further back. Not even the same course they way it’s set up when they’re not there for a major
Although this is definitely true, wouldn’t it be 3 off the tee in tournament golf with a lost ball? 3 from where it crossed into the hazard is just RUclips rules right?

There is absolutely no way that you should feel so nervous or pressured, your style of play and personality will drive you to score well. Wes and George are gr8 players and they play with such a possitive way. When you are good dont fear but play what you do best.

Brent Valley Golf course in Ealing London. A municipal course that will test your ability to duck incoming balls. A lot of parallel fairways with very little room. I felt a ball whistle through my hair about 40 years ago on the 9th or 10th. It came from a hook off another tee and I was about 50 yards from that tee.
That was the most fun I've had watching golf in my life.
I haven't watched this video yet, but I played this course 25-30 years ago and it is truly a beast. It was and I assume still is target golf at its best. You need to know how far you fly every club in your bag and then factor in wind. A truly beautiful diabolical golf course.
Edit: The course I played looked more like the 1991 Ryder Cup...where patches of fairway were separated by sand hence the target golf comment. This course, without wind looks much easier than the course during the Ryder cup....With this wind it is the hardest course imageneable.

Wes shoed the way! George played some great shots,and Grant did well with the wind and technical shots needed today on this windy course! If you want to learn something this was a great round to watch! Grant get some sleep bro! Hugely important when you are playing these long mental days. Great golf guys! I learned how little I know about golf in windy conditions!😅😅

This was amazing, love the energy and fun all of you 3 have together and still be competitive! I am a member at Oak Tree National in Edmond where they have had mutliple PGA championships( latest was PGA in 1988). Senior tour coming back in 2027.

I’ve been very lucky to play that course a lot. Normally from from tips but we tried to make it as tough as possible after they created the new tee box’s for 2021 PGA. We decided to play from the back of each box. The course played over 8,000 not counting wind. I was scratch at the time and my only goal was the break 80. It was the hardest and most fun I’ve ever had. I suggest you go back and try it.
if you guys head to Chambers Bay in this series, I hope you get a chance to play a solid PNW course while you're out there. Aldarra, Sahalee, Gold Mountain, maybe even Gamble Sands.

I played this course in January of '21, from the tee's that are around 6400 yards. At the time I was a 13 handicap... I shot a 106!!! That's with a few holes my caddie was like dude pick that up LOL!!! My caddie was awesome, and the course was amazing. Very tough course.
I'm so excited to watch Wesley Bryan at Wells Fargo in Chatlotte next weekend! I'll be there rooting for you Wesley!

Dude, You have to play Riviera Country Club if you can. It is considered to be the best course in the LA area and it is so nice with very nice houses around it.

2:46 Facts. This course was designed with match play in mind, specifically for the Ryder Cup. It’s a REALLY hard course for stroke play.

My swing feels like a Witch riding a broom in a hurricane. But, I still love watching great players at a magnificent place to visit but better place to live.
