We have never seen a snow such as this in real life. It is beautiful, but I'm not sure we could cope with this kind of cold. Would love to spend a weekend in it though. (W's wife)

I grew up here, and my parents still live here. When I moved to Colorado, my uncle chided me and told me how horrible the winters would be. Yeah...he was wrong. NE Ohio gets more snow than the 10+ years I've lived SW of Denver.
When I moved to snow country I was taught the following..always keep extra clothing, a shovel, a blanket, rock salt and cat liter in your trunk. I'm sure everything is obvious except the cat liter. It's for traction
What a pretty town! Our forecast has said snow, several times a week for over a month, with several winter weather advisories, and we still don't have any (in Eastern Washington).
The driver of the GMC crossover encounters a huge snowdrift on his way back, but continues the same slow movement backwards, as if it does not exist at all. He does not look in the mirror, does not see the snow, or does not understand that when there is a rise or other obstacle, he has to add gas, inertia and everything else...
