You're asking 400 pounds for the base model, where as the base model from ayntec, buyable from their site is 240 pounds....why would anyone buy it from you? That's a pretty big mark up
I believe it's to do with tax and you also get a year warranty, I'm not saying it's worth it but you can see why it's more, at least if something happened to your device you don't have to send it all the way to China.
@Jarken17 I bought odin 2 from indiegogo 2 week ago. Base model early bird cost me 280 pounds total. Still waiting receive mine. I feel sorry for anyone who has to pay more now since they stopped the discount for odin 2!
@@Jakcoon well the price I paid was inclusive of tax and shipping, which was £330 for the 12gb model. I'd rather send mine back to ayntec than pay another $250 AUD, and keep in mind that just for the base model. As I said, the mark up on it is insane.
I don't think you've ever had to deal with any of the Chinese companies when it comes to returns or warranty claims if you're saying this. The average turn around from these Chinese companies to even get things fixed is 2 months. That's assuming they are responsive and understand what you want. In my opinion, DroiX's service fee is worth it
@@rawdiggitydog if literally hundreds more for service is worth it to you then that's up to you, not me, and I have death with this kind of thing before. If you have ever had to RMA a PC part it's the same thing. Waited 8 weeks only recently for a motherboard to be RMA from a reputable manufacturer
Bugger ! Wish I knew you'd be getting it so early would of rather bought direct from you I used the crowd funding option few weeks ago. Oh well. Can't wait to get this for Gamecube and Ps2 😊
Unfortunately due to circumstances we were not able to do battery, heat and fan noise tests for the review. We will have a battery life test next week and will update in the description and text review on the blog. We spent around 1 1/2 to 2 hours recording the footage for the review and the battery was down to 70%. This was pretty good seeing as we had all the games and emulators running at 3x 4x resolution etc.
any issues with discoloration on the white plastic? I’ve seen a few people talking about the finish easily scuffing or even staining. I take extreme care of my devices and always wipe stuff down with alcohol wipes.. but curious if you’ve noticed any of this??
Nothing so far. If you are playing with dirty hands then like anything it can get stained. We are careful with the handhelds as we do need to use them for ongoing photos and videos so we keep in the box or cases when not in use.
Can someone tell me if this will perform better than my s23u with Emulation specifically PS2? I am using it with a Gamesir controller and it does give my hands cramps, but overall will this make my games run better since it has cooling and such? I would love to know anyone's opinion! ❤
Honestly, it wouldn’t make much of a difference for ps2. I mean u shouldn’t have any trouble running ps2 games on s23u in the first place. If u start throttling, u can always get one of those controllers with active cooling.
What @walterwang766 said! Your S23U has the same chip essentially, the only difference is active cooling and the Odin 2 having some really nice gaming features (Controllers/on-screen button mapping for the controls/etc). Some people just like to have 1 handheld that literally does it all. I plan on getting one for Retro Gaming + PS5 Remote Play, so I have one handheld that plays PS2/Switch and PS5 :) (Obv, PS5 on local network)
I also have s23 ultra.. as said its the same thing but you'll have a fantastic dedicated device. I have been using the game sir grip extension amd its good but I'd much rather have separate gaming handheld. And you can throw in a 1tb micro sd and fill it with games...
There is a christmas sale running on the store. Discount codes are disabled during the sale, its often larger discount on sole. We will have PRO model in stock around December 18th. For UK we offer next day shipping so it should be fine before Christmas.
It is the new ETA based on the information we have. The actual shipping date may be earlier (or later) so this is the most realistic we have. If things change then we will update with more info asap.
Our prices include all taxes paid as well as our own customer service + one year warranty. If something should go wrong then it is returned to us and not having to wait weeks or months for getting it fixed in China. We have a very high standard of customer service, check us on Trustpilot, reddit, discord etc for many customers recommendations, feedback and reviews.
I would rather buy from them than somewhere in china with a long wait and import duties etc to deal with, plus if you have any issues they can be solved quickly with a UK company.

It really is the one to have, amazing that it can emulate switch! Just a shame they couldn't ship a proper UK charger.
Just buy a UK 65w fast charger, ain't that expensive
As mentioned in the unboxing we include the correct plug for your country. We include a UK plug for UK orders.

How does the battery life compare to the grey abernic in the thumbnail?
From what I've seen in reviees battery is 4-25 hours depending on settings and game type. 4 hours was for demanding switch games with full brightness

how much difference is there between the basic vs pro vs max?
The processors are the same on all the models. So there should not be any performance difference.
