    I stayed at Morvich Camping and Caravanning Club site in May 1991 with my frame tent, lovely and peaceful then. Traffic nowadays up there seems really bad from what I have seen on other youtuber videos.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  10 месяцев назад

      Like everywhere, there's certainly more traffic about than say in the 1980's. It's certainly not really bad. It didn't cause us any issues visiting there. Inverness is a busy place, but nowhere as bad as say, St Albans. I certainly wouldn't let traffic put you off. One of the great joys of driving in the highlands is the freedom from traffic!

    Really love Morvich site, we stayed there in early May and although the weather wasn't the best the lush green foliage and mountain views are spectacular. Not taking anything away from the coastal and Loch view's which are stunning, to get so much of a contrast was fantastic and the site was much busier a lot of pitches were taken. Thanks so much for sharing your travels. That Guinea fowl must be resident because it was on site when we were there.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo

      The roads are generally poor, a lot of uneven potholed roads. I've given trying to track down the source of the rattles. A lot comes from the fridge, especially if it's slightly empty.

    I am going to try getting one of my bikes fitted somehow in and on top of my campervan. then I'll see more just like when I was with my old pals in the Cyclists Touring Club. Back then we visited the west coast of Scotland and inner Hebrides. Using a small Skoda to carry four bicycles on its roof and leaving it at a beautiful Youth Hostel near Oban.

      It's frustrating how many people mention midges as a reason for not visiting Scotland. We very rarely have a problem with Midges in Scotland. If they are an issue, you can get midge hats and there are plenty of lotions and potions to ward them off. Ironically I got stung by a wasp!
