Evening Bob and Jenny, Ive said it before and i will say it again. You need to look into getting some merch. Definitely ‘We follow Bob and Jenny’ bumper stickers. I can see a following a bit like Eddie Stobart. 😀 We have friends currently on a road trip around Scotland. Their caravan is called Dinky and they have a white Ford Kuga. I know the A9 very well. We lived in Forres for 5 years. The average speed cameras are a bit of a pain now.
Unbelievable!! Yes! Lovely video. Definitely want to go there. Went there once as a child and the excitement of possibly seeing Nessie was so much, I remember feeling really scared!!
thank you for another great video, the content you put into everyone of your videos are outstanding, you our go to youtuber for any sites we go to. I do laughed when Poppy makes a fuss, exactly the same as our westie.Thankyou again for all the effort you put in
Shame i cant get a membership for the C&C club sites, since we travel as three adults from two households...what draconian rules they have. :-( Like your vlogs nonetheless.
Hopefully you missed the bulk of tailback at the Broxden roundabout in Perth on Saturday. We passed in the opposite direction about 12:30 and it was backed up for a long distance. Great video. Loch Ness shores is a great site in a fantastic area.
This site looks fab! so much so that we have booked 3 nights here from next weekend, and decided to watch this video again to familiarise ourselves with the route as I recall reading somewhere not to use satnag! 😃 so this has been extremely helpful, we will try not to go the wrong way 😂, after this stay we are heading to Kinloch Campsite in Skye 👍
Hi Bob, Jenny & Poppy , looks lovely on that site , Loch Ness is somewhere i wanted to go since being a young girl lol, i may have to have a lone adventure one day see if i can get there by train :)
Hi guys just catching up on your travels , we were pitched up at Faskally at Pitlochry for the weekend we were walking into the town on sat mid morning and I was positive I seen you driving along the A9 as we walked into town , Loch Ness shores is a nice site , and just some info Bob, al the lochs lakes reservoirs in England and Wales would still not fill Loch Ness , take care can't wait for more of your Scotland tour ,welcome to gods country .
We’re just across the Loch from you, at Loch Ness Bay site, had a nice day down at Fort Augustus, good weather today. Off to Brora site tomorrow. Keep up the excellent blogs, Jenny is a mind of information and facts.
Thank you for another inspirational ‘arriving at’ - wonderful stuff! We’re back on the road again (The Lake District en-route to Scotland) - 5 miles in the Ad-Blue Low warning came on… 😂😂😂 Sigh. Safe travels. P&K
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, a lovely journey to the campsite, loved the music. Wow what views, I was waiting for Nessie to pop his head up from the Loch. Love your banter and now chill , safe travels xx
Great memories, laughing went to the Nessie museum! Loved the castle ruins on the shore, maybe Urquhart. Loved Sterling,Braemar got there and snow was on the hill tops. Loved Inverness also. I guess loved Scotland
Another Scottish translation .Up the road from the Glen Tavern is the Chinese takeaway called the Wan Lam and the locals call the junction the Lonely Shepard junction. If you get the translation. 😀 The one lamb. 😆
Another great video, thank you both. It amazes me how Poppy senses you have arrived on site. Bless her. We are cruising up to Scotland next week now we have given up motorhoming due to our age. Looking forward to our trip. Enjoy your holiday.
great video loch ness is on my to do list love the mystic appeal of it on the motorhome side of things the adamo DL is my dream motorhome hope you get that one would really love to see your take on it
We were there for three nights a couple week ago. Loved the site, views are fantastic. The bistro on site is very nice food. We will definitely be going back 😁😁
Go on man United, I must say, I've never been to Scotland let alone Loch ness, were you both hoping to have your picture taken with nessy on the shore ha ha, looks lovely, enjoy your stay xx
Bob - how do you go about selecting your camping/motorhome sites that you go to? We have had a couple of bad experiences of sites where we have had noisy neighbours, people fighting etc (Incidentally, all in Scotland where we are from!), so as we get older, we want to go to more expensive sites to reduce the chance of meeting the riff-raff? Not wanting to sound snobbish of course.
One reason we tend to stick with Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites. We've had more problems on Camping and Caravanning Club and Camping in the forest sites.
Going back to one of your old trips to Dunfermline. The Glen Tavern is reopened. Now now by local caravaners motor home enthusiasts as the Bob Ernshaw Bar. 🍻
Hi Bob, that A9 route looks fantastic. If you don't mind sharing your editing knowledge can you tell me how you Zoom in on the road signs and how do you put the chapters in the timeline at the bottom of the video. That's brilliant. Poppy sounds excited to be at the site. Looks like a really nice site and one to add to my list. Are dogs allowed in the loch for a swim?
I did a series "How I Make My Videos" ruclips.net/p/PLUi3rqw12j2pEehEXTu9_NC2z1JcdyA1s But quickly, in Adobe Premiere Elements I do a freeze frame, drag the frame to the top time line, close the gap, then use the Pan and Zoom tool. I didn't see any signs banning dogs in the Loch, just remember it's an average of 450 feet deep and who knows what's in there. 😊🤔
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks for sharing Bob, that's great. I am new to editing but I will have a look at your video and try it out. Thanks again for the reply and the great vlog. 👍
Stopped here for one night in 2019. That wasn’t enough. Must go back someday. That toilet block had not long opened, reminded me of a motorways services (a nice one). We approached that awkward junction from the other direction. Didn’t feel like cooking in the morning so had a sausage and bacon sandwich from the airstream. Good decision. Loving the videos. 👍
Loved this video. You were driving through our area. We used to be in perthshire and perthshire caravans is our local dealer, very big place. We are now in the Angus Hills. I wanted to see what the approach to the Loch ness site was like as it is one we haven't been to. We have a caravan and not sure now about that approach road, looked a bit narrow
We are on the last night of our Scotland trip and are at Ayr CAMC which incidentally is really nice. Been a lovely trip with not very good weather but what has shocked me is the general state of the roads and I include the A roads. I think they must be the worst i have driven on.
Great video, we have decided to visit later this year. I note that the video was posted 1yr ago, however, does not indicate the date of your visit.....can you please advise.
Thanks. Just under the title in the description it tells you when the video was published - 15th September 2021, it was probably filmed a day or so before that. We never say when we are there for security reasons.
Great video, and inspired our first motorhome trip, almost the same journey, in our case Dundee to Loch Ness Shores. Although you semmed to have taken the easy route in, whereas we took the Fort Augustus road from the A9, almost all single track, summed up by the comment from the Loch Ness Shores staff by "that was brave, especially for a first trip" 😃 Great location, the facilities that were open were also great - seemingly it changes hands at the end of the month so the Bistro and site wifi were unavailable. Our dog thought it was amazing, and even tried to paddle - drinking the water caused a little alarm as it was the first time water ever slapped him across the face. Looking forward to the next trip and will show the boss more of your video's to see what takes her fancy. Paul
@@BobEarnshawMoHo and now so do I ;-) I did notice drivers were far more considerate, and tolerant on the single tracks than on the normal highway, or is it that I'm, over 4T, 7.5m long and sitting above the normal motorist ;-) 😃 Keep up the good work, the Boss now has a play list to work through, and I have a Motorhome to clean and prep for the next trip Happy trails Paul
Lovely place, will be there next week myself. Another interesting fact is that Loch Ness has more water in it than all the lakes in England and Wales combined! The Cameron’s Tearoom south of Foyers to be recommended also. Enjoy the rest of your trip up there!
Phil from VW Adventures - What a lovely site will have to check that one out on our next trip up to Scotland. Love the comment Jenny about the big chips. Take care both
We was there last year after lockdown and it rained every day. However fantastic place and hope you went too see the waterfalls that was something else. Look forward to your next vlog. Stay safe regards phil
When we where touring we went their and we where up the top too, had a paddle in the lock but didn’t see the monster. Had a Venison Burger from the Airstream Cafe 😃
Lovely site, amazing how Poppy knows you have arrived ours do the same ha ha,had to watch for tics though with the dogs. Was the airstream cafe open? Had some lovely food from there, been shut the last couple of times we have been.

Lovely to have you both back in the Highlands, I live in the black isle but we go camping every summer at big sands in Gairloch despite the midgeeeees

It's a single track road with passing places, wide enough, but best approached from the Inverness side.

Towing an 8ft wide van. Best Access? from fort Augustus or Inverness as on the video?
I didn't drive the other route in the motorhome, but I seem to remember there were some steep hills when we went that way in the car.
Took a bit of driving that Bob. No points lost for being distracted by a pub. Great teamwork as always. Thank you
Thank you, good job there was another turning!
Beautiful scenery, breathtaking, thanks for taking us with you, bob,Jenny, poppy, stay safe and take care.

Yes, the great thing on single is that the most inconsiderate drivers have to give way sometimes! 😉
Perthshire caravans used to sell aqua roll handles if you still need one😀
Not this time, fortunately Glyn got one from the Dingwall campsite reception.

Great...🙂👍🌻
Nice driving Bob

How much did it cost, and when did you go please
It was 3 years ago in 2021, so I sure the prices have gone up, so best to check on the Camping and Caravaning website.
Ok thanks very much.
